Dr. Cliff, I have asymmetrical hearing loss. My audiologist has told me that I could choose to have only one device rather than two at this time. When I asked this question to a podcast hearing professional that I follow (similar to what you do) he recommended going with devices in both ears as the technology is designed to work in pairs. As one device represents a significant cost savings I’m curious to know if, based on your extensive experience, you have a point of view. I’ve been putting off doing anything until I have a little more clarity to this question, and I know that you’re very busy but I’d be very appreciative of a reply.
Thanks, J. Barger from NC.
I am a member of Devoted supplemental insurance which uses Tru hearing, I also belong to costco and have used resound aids for 8 years. I already own a mic and streamer. If I buy signia I will also have to purchase these items. Should I buy Jabra, at a higher cost or buy signia and have to purchase the mic and receiver. Is the premium signia through tru hearing better or worse than the jabra through costco? Costco has much better hearing services than tru hearing.
I have gone from a phonak audeo m90 hearingaids to Signia Motion C&GX 7 P hearingaid recently. Love the battery time. It is awsome. I had to go with the P-version, not because my hearing is that bad but because it had a T-coil, wich the smaller Motion dont have. And I need the t-coil to be able to use my roger microphones together with the Roger neckloop. I really miss an option to use a Roger X with Signias later lines of hearingaids .
Does the telecoil system cause a hum sound for patients that have good low decibel frequencies hearing capability in the the Signia TIX model or was that issue addressed via the new sound processor introduced via the IX line?
I answered this exact question on a different video.
I sadly purchsed the Signio Insio C&G AX ITE last year. they have been the worst product purchase of my life. They are lemons. When they work and after many adjustments I hear "hard" sounds much more clearly and loudly than people talking.. I have had to send the left hearing aid in for repairs three times, and the right one is being sent back for the second time. They just stop working at times. The app will show that they are fully charged, I ensure they are clean and attempt to restart them via the on/off button as well as placing in and out of the charger... no avail. I will never waste my hard earned money on another Signio product as they do not stand behind their product. Otherwise, after this many repairs they should have replaced them completely instead of just fixing the same problem units.
I really think that the idea of 2 separate signal processors, 1 for general noise and another for speech is a GREAT IDEA but I've read about a ORKA BRANDED aid that also uses dual processors and is far less expensive than the SIGNIA. ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH THE ORKA HEARING AID AND DOES IT PERFORM AS WELL AS SIGNIA?
Does it matter wich side the hearing aids go on the pure charer
I have Signia Hearing Aides. They are my third pair of hearing aids and worst of all. The iPhone App is a total joke.
