another technique with side special for those unfamiliar: if you very quickly hold the reverse direction you're facing after inputting it, she'll do a "fake out" version that moves her slightly backwards instead of straight forward. useful not just to juke opponents in neutral, but knock them towards you when up close and potentially get a followup hit.
Some notes on terry Terry is really good when edgeguarding. Place em down and go for those deep forward aerials, then safely come back with terry's tether
All of the stages in Rivals 2 have a last stock variant when all players only have one stock left. (It might also happen when the timer has a short time left, haven't tested it yet) This also happened on some stages in Rivals 1, but that was only a few stages.
@@Cool-Blob no this is different the one shown here has two platforms that go down and meet in the middle instead of one platform swinging in the middle
@@nickziegler1904 oh, that one is the 2v2 version. Only Treetop and Tempest Peak have a 2v2 version since they are small stages, you can also play them 1v1 in a offline match
@@hughmungus99 It was basically just 20 seconds of black screen then a repeated voiceover clip from earlier in the video. Prob just accidentally dropped the clip in the timeline and didn't catch it before exporting.

I like the inclusion of attacking Kragg on his pillar. As a maypul main, that is one of my favorite things to do
I feel like you HAVE TO if you wanna effectively and consistently edgeguard a decent Kragg.
Some notes on terry

Thank you Mr. Richard
Now she just needs some garden-invading zombies to beat up.
All these characters have so much love and thought put into them.
Rivals 2 cooking up guides >>>
It’s great that they’re not just expecting other people to make introductory guides for them by actually putting effort into producing their own
Maypul's video is like twice the length of Clairen's. Yeah, that tracks.
Good thing I switched my main when going to Rivals 2.
To Maypul, of course.
I hope these become viewable in game, like you click a button and get sent to this video link or something. That'd be really nice
This is a temporary solution. In-game interactive tutorials like the ones in rivals 1 are planned to be added eventually.
5:39 Possibly the most generous use of the phrase "last, but not least" of all time.
It most definitely is the least important, but it's still important.
Still one of the coolest character designs in the Rivals setting. Still hard to learn to play.
I would actually really like the chalk sketches as profile icons in the game
You can! They're included with the starter bundle ^^
@@ellie8272 oh I didn't even know lmao
2:18 this method feels super specific for some reason, although of course its balanced because punishing hitting any shielding could be brutal
"Plant-based, 100% organic specials" made me laugh way more than it probably should have... 😅
Oooooh, side specials can wall jump. I was wondering why I couldnt out of Ranno up B any more, guess that was a change!
Maypul is cute.
Seed of knowledge.
They can also remove the mark by pummeling you after they grab
What is that variant of the forest stage? Are we getting special aether forms like the first game?

This one’s almost double the time
No way they used the classic SSBM tutorials thumbnail with the chalkboard as inspo for these... 😭 made me remember the good old days
So Maypul is similar to Batman in mechanics but better. Interesting I might be switching to her.
Good rogue realization

Why was this removed for a while?
