- So. Yes I made a Bluey video and 'm not sorry about that. Seriously. The creators of Bluey didn't need to go so hard when they made this kids show. They didn't need to go so hard when they made 'The Sign'... but they did and I am thankful. Down with Peppa. Praise Bluey!

I rarely cry, but the sign came the closest to making me shed tears. Calypso was right, real life has enough sad endings.
Fr😭
I love bluey! Not only the animation is very pretty, but i love how the production makes sure to protect their child VA's
Agreed
Honestly, Bluey is a way better show than Cocomelon. It’s so wholesome and funny and some of the storytelling is just so magical.
Cocomelon doesnt even register as a show to me
Its just noise
That's why a while back in an article I read online it said bluey tops cocomelon as the number one most watched children's streaming show. Another win for bluey!!!!
Cocomelon is the literal definition of "drugs for children"
You give Cocomelon too much credit.
cocomelon should be illegal, being better than that is just everything actually
0:15, “George can go to hell” lmao🤣
Seeing (good) Australian media being popular outside of Aus makes me so fundamentally happy. Plus that the show runners are keeping it so Aussie even after the popularity explosion, like I could see some producers asking to remove the super specific Aus references, so kids overseas could get it and not get lost in questions like, what on earth is a bilby or fairy bread? But instead we got a whole arse episode about pavlova and it’s so much damn fun.
Me too
I mean it just gives overseas kids (and adults) a chance to learn about Aussie culture. I don’t see anything wrong with that
H2O, Mako Mermaids, Nowhere Boys, etc. I know they're not universally known (except the 1st ons), but come on.
I'm a Bluey fan for a year or so and it became a safe place for me. It's the family I wanted to have so badly. This episode had many ups and downs and I kept thinking of the story from Calypso. The ending was perfect and I'm so glad they didn't move.
Aww man you skipped over the fact stripe was super hung over when he was getting out of the bushes
What day is it?
12:00 “Miraculously pregnant”… sentimonster shenanigans in bluey now?
NO NOT AGAIN
Shadow Moth: FERTILIZE THAT WOMB, MY PRECIOUS AMOK!!!
not another Adrien/Felix
@@MikeFireheartWhy would he even do that?
@@saul8510 Shadow Moth: It'll distract Ladybug and the other heroes with the miracle, so I can steal their miraculous!!! *Laughs maniacally, only to be smacked by Nathalie*
To me Bluey is a preschool show that has for everyone vibes to it.
Calypso is played by Meg Washington and she even sings Lazarus drug, a song from a couple years before Bluey came out.
This Has to be one of my favorite episodes of all time. Usually Bluey episodes just make me tear up a little bit. But this episode made me my mom and my sister, fall on, bawl your eyes out. We went through a lot of tissues. My favorite part is the ending. That’s the part that got me and my family. This is a really great breakdown and informational video. Keep up the great work.
My sister caught me watching bluey alone and she asked why i was watching it without her kid. I replied i needed to be upto date so i knew what my neice talks about with me. Honestly i love it. Even our dad watches it without his grandaughter. And we text each other asking if we saw the latest episode 😂 it os brilliant and i would not complain if you want to do more bluey content!
"Imagine hosting it in some random suburban back yard."
If I had a nickel for every wedding I've attended in a random suburban back yard, I'd have 2 nickels.
We already know the yard is huge. That's all you need.
6:28 Sure, SP. Sure thing. 😅
Back on the topic though, I bet that 28-minute special even brought in *new* fans. It definitely dragged me in.
NOW I WANT A BLUEY MOVIE😭😭 also ending song is Lazarus Drug, if anyone likes it as much as i do
That episode was truly amazing.
This makes me cry so much! I have moved 9 times over the course of 14 years. Any show that has moving makes me think about when my dad was deployed or our move. I am looking at you “Army”.
This show ALWAYS makes me cry
I love that you are doing Bluey, its awesome!!! You can try out all the interesting stuff like the episodes Onesies and Sleepytime
The Smarty Pants lore in this review is crazy. Love your reviews!
This episode was a masterpiece, a full-length MASTERPIECE and I think we can all agree our tissue boxes ran out immediately.
Now rewatching the special I can't help but notice some people are... not satisfied, while that's completely acceptable that made me reflect on something that is currently happening to our community.
People want to project themselves into the show.
It's no wonder those episodes that got exploration towards a deeper intended message are the most efficiently received; because it's relatable, because it's realistic, because it's hard to digest... but mostly, because they feel seen.
The sentiment of 'being seen' is gratifying, to finally have a show that broke the delimited barriers all through, to grant the desired desparity being contented by how SEEN this show has made us feel.
But... there's always a limit and I think a large percentage of the fandom are reaching it; "a happy ending is unrealistic and convenient" "life doesn't work that way" "so much foreshadowing for nothing"... This critiques are quite reasonable and I respect them fully, but there's something people tend to forget after the feeling of relating... This ain't your lives
I know it would have been interesting to show a darker-side of the coin, to fully experience this characters being completely wretched, for them to truly experience tragedy... but that's not what the show wants to convey.
I've seen the 'I Love You, You Hate Me' documentary and that made me reflect and compare the situation to the current actuality; Bluey started being an average show for children, another puddle on a continuous pond... that is until the show exhibited freshness... innovation and eventually UNIQUENESS.
But people wanted more, and that's when they start to project themselves on the screen; they want to enclose with something relatable to their experiences, they want to discover an authentic portray of family life... and when it's passing the line, they want to uncover THEIR LIVES
Happy endings have gone unpopular by how the world truly operates, how sometimes predicaments are intractable, how life can be pitiful... and they want to project THAT on their screens, I get it, I'm not the exception.
Yet again, they have to understand something: THAT'S ONLY A PATH; life can work on unpredictable ways.
Sometimes life can be a crippling mess, sometimes it's not
Sometimes life can suck, sometimes not
Sometimes life can be pitiful, sometimes it can be plentiful
Sometimes life gives you surprises, sometimes it takes away your hope.
That's how life is, unpredictable... maybe that wasn't the path some people wanted... maybe they wanted to perceive the bleakest path of the story; but sometimes it's just not the path they wanted to follow, and that's ok... Like Chilli once said "the world is a magical place" and it's the viewers job to grant our own individual perception to that message.
9:41 I’ve actually done the math on this; if Bandit was ten years old in the eighties, he could be as old as in his fifties depending on when Bluey actually takes place.
Pure masterpiece! Been a fan for a while, but this one ripped me to shreds. A few episodes choke me up, or tear up, I CRIED at the end of this one.
That said, I would be satisfied if no more episodes are made, I just don’t know if they can top this.
Thanks for making this, because I didn't know this episode existed. I just watched it and...that was really emotional. One thing I LOVE about Bluey is that you can NEVER really tell how an episode is going to end. I sure didn't, at least not until the very end. Also, that couple that purchased the house...come on, man!! The inconvenience and wasted money in that entire transition was just messy. I hope the Heeler family was fairly compensated. But, yeah, this was a fantastic episode. Also, I love the fact that there were SO MANY call backs to previous episodes. It made the world so cohesive and lively, like every episode was connected to every other episode...especially with Brandy. THAT actually made me tear up! I'm SO happy for her!
I wasn't keen on the idea of a Bluey movie, because it could either be great, or a disaster. But, after seeing this episode and the length that it was, I think they could pull it off. I'm onboard for it, now. I mean, I would have watched it, either way, but now, I'm kind of hoping they green light a feature length film. I also felt that series finale vibe. This felt like the end. It had a great run, but it felt like this episode was a close to a wonderful show. It was like they saw the Simpsons and realized that there was a time to bring a creation to a close before it gets...just bad. I would love another season, but I would totally respect it if they made a decision to end on a high note. I guess we'll see.
I wish i had Chilli and Bandit as parents. Instead of having a mom that acts like shes 13 and a dad that screams at everything i do
I was sobbing at the end of watching it
If you do make more bluey episode reviews. I wana suggest
Army
Fairytale
Space
Cricket
Feather wand
Explorers
Hammerbarn (especially hammerbarn )
Just a few off the top of my hat
One of the things I like about Bluey is not just the kids, but the adults as well. Chili and Bandit are shown to be great parents, supporting their daughters and participating in the girls' crazy games at times, and sitting down to explain more serious topics that you don't really see in other children shows.
The thing I love most about Bandit and Chili is they aren’t perfect. Bandit can be over competitive and a little insensitive at times. Chili doesn’t always set (or respect) boundaries when she should. If they were flawless, they would be impossible to relate to. Instead, parents can see their own flaws in some of the best parents on television, and can also see how Chili and Bandit apologise and try to fix their faults
Yeah I cried real hard at the ending of this episode, a rare win for Australian tv 💪
Bluey is an amazing show for all ages!!!!
Blue is seriously healing my inner child 🥰
Yesterday I got some news that, while normally shouldn’t be a major thing or life-threatening, will most likely close doors in regards to what I’ll be able to do when I get older (for context I’m still in high school and already had big plans for my desired career and what I really want to do as an adult). I was heartbroken was so unsure of what I could do.
Watching The Sign again today with what I know now, this hit hard. Seeing the family and how they react really resonated with how I’m feeling right now, and the message it sends helps reassure me. Honestly I’m still kinda processing a bit, but it’s not the end.
That aside, this series freaking slaps - and no one can convice me otherwise lol.
Love your vids, by the way! Been subscribed for quite a while and can’t wait for the next one!
The ending made me so emotional, what a great episode this was :)
How dare you compare this to Peppa Pig! XD
7:46
yo that's madd
Ooooooo I am early today.
0:15 oh god I am dying 😂😂😂
This episode made me cry lol
Bluey has no horrible sing alongs thank God. It has better singing
Where do you watch Bluey?
Delighted to see more love for Bluey from anyone!
To me, this is a "once in a lifetime" or "THAT generation's" show that’ll stand out among the crowd for hopefully, decades to come. I personally wanna rewatch this show throughout the rest of my life and see if/when certain episodes hit different. For example, as a single guy in my twenties with no kids or someone special, certain episodes won't hit me now like if/when I'm dating, getting married, having kids, raising kids, taking care of aging parents, or mourning the loss of family.
Meg Washington (Calypso's VA) absolutely crushed it with her song at the end. As a dad and as someone that was moved away from friends and family at a young age, this whole episode was a healing session for me and mmade me resolve to never do that to my son. He will stay in his school with his friends if he's happy there and won't be uprooted and taken away from the friends and places he loves.
I love this series.💜
0:15 god what did George do to you
One of the best episodes ever 🎉🎉🎉
Im 30 and i yave been watching bluey since 2020 and have never regretted the decision. My boyfriend sometimes watches it with me and my 18 month old and he even agrees thats its good to watch
Did you realise who owned the house with the pool?
Sounds like their first serious watch of the show so I don't think they know all the characters. Only did some research.
Been a fan since I had my daughter last year, and thank GOD this show helped me become a better mom. 🥰
Really good show! Recently got into it. Also you and I had similar parents haha. result of being a 80/90s kid
Frisky outburst was immature. I would late it slide if she was in her late teens.
Agreed fully
An inside joke is the look out they go to. It's a known place for hook ups in Brisbane.
I ❤ Bluey!
9:52 I actually think Chilli & Frisky are in their late 30s, whereas Rad, Stripe & Bandit are all in various stages of their 40s. We know the boys were all kids in the 80s but I actually think Chilli was 2 or 3 years younger in that flashback (then again Chilli insisted is wasn’t her) & given she doesn’t remember that while Bandit does, gives further evidence to suggest Chilli’s younger than her husband.
Not to mention Frisky & Rad want kids & while men don’t have to really worry about an expiry age date to have kids, women begin to approach that between the ages of 40-50 (sometimes even earlier) so to me, Frisky is still in her (late) 30s - meaning she still has a few years yet to have a child.
So yeah, to me Frisky has at least a few more years before she hits 40.
Can you watch Ninjago Dragons Rising?🐉 I'd love to know how it feels to watch the sequel on its own without watching the previous one.
We need a Ninjago Dragons Rising review. It's such a good sequel series and you don't really need to watch the older show to understand the plot.
Yikes 😬 my teachers weren’t as crazy, at the very least most were decent I remember in tenth grade my class made my math teacher quit, but why in do crazy people become teachers?
It's so they can either have power and influence over a more susceptible audience or relieve their childhood but better.
3rd?
1 minute no comment? Fell off
Pants Fell Off
Early
I loved the episode but the last minute pull out of the sale of the house felt forced because there's usually so much tied up in house buying that the endign felt unrealistic. Also surely bandit is now unemployed as he would have quit his old job and can't do the new one?
Even though they say he might have a “better job”, that might just be an easier way of putting it than “promotion” for the kids to understand. It’s possible he could still have his old job, he just turned down the promotion.
Also a lot of this show can be unrealistic because it’s seen from the perspective of the kids. Bluey and Bingo would have just seen their dad on the phone, then him ripping out the sign and the family hugging and crying together, going back inside, Chilli taking out the rug and then fish and chips for dinner. It’s like how in the series, there are random rooms that appear or disappear, corridors are made to be like they’re as long as the street themselves, etc. Bluey and Bingo wouldn’t care about or know about the paperwork behind the house no longer being for sale or how it worked out that way.
As for the sheepdogs thing, that’s more for the audience’s benefit. It explains where that call came from and why.
The special is basically a punishment if we’ve never cried to a bluey episode before
