How to Make Soap w/ Real Pumpkin + Recipe 🎃 PUMPKIN PATCH 🎃 | Ellen Ruth Soap

- It's Fall Y'all 🎃 My favorite season! We're making both a slab mold (a.k.a. Bar soap) as well as individual Pumpkin soaps. The fragrance from WSP Bourbon Pumpkin did end up discoloring to a light brown, as well as being a fast mover. It's well worth the effort because it smells amazing🎃

Don’t worry about rambling on. We love you!!!!! Period!!!!
I love how you explain exactly what you're doing. You answer my questions before I can ask them (or I even think of them).
🥰🧡
Ellen, I've been watching quite a bit and learning So much from your videos! Thank you for all the time and in-depth research it must take to put all of these together 😊
These are such cute and adorable soaps. And I enjoy your conversation too ❤😊👌

I just love, love, love your videos Ellen🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much 🧡🧡
They couldn't have turned out cuter!🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
🎃🧡
Bourboned Pumpkin DOES smell SO good! I've got a bottle for bath bombs and lotions. I don't make candles, but I'm tempted to do so just because of this fragrance. Yum! ❤❤❤
Oooo, it would make a wonderful candle🧡
I love fruit purees in soap, also. Those pumpkins are awesome! So pretty! Love anything pumpkin.
Blessings 👍💕🎃🦃
Thanks! I love fruit puree lather🧡
Thank you sharing, Ellen. I love adding purees to my soaps. Love from Pretoria, South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤️

I love your enthusiasm! These turned out so well! I really love the accents! ❤
Thank you so much!!🎃
You’re welcome.
I used the sample you added to my last purchase of this soap. I couldn’t get online fast enough to order this scent. Just the scent of this sitting in dish made my own shower smell great. It was such a surprise burst of fall when I used it. I was shocked at wonderful it smells even on the skin for a little while afterwards of using it.
Oh, this makes me happy! I'm so glad you're loving the soaps❣️
I love how much you love soap.
🥰🧡

Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations with us.
Thank you so much!🧡
Beautiful,,,, wish I can get some
These are so beautiful; definitely in the top five prettiest soaps I've ever seen. Even the ones you called workable are just natural and lovely! Love, love, love them! Thank you for sharing. Have a very blessed weekend! 💜🙏💜
Thank you so much!🧡
The soap came out great. Pumpkin fragrances have a notorious reputation for color morphing.
Thanks🧡
I love watching you make these cute pumpkin soaps. I have that same mold and it is like working with an octopus, it's very floppy and definitely needs to be on a tray or flat surface. I love pumpkins and want to have a go at growing them next year. 🎃
Oh my goodness, Ellen, those turned out so beautiful!!!!! You are so talented I love watching your channel. Thank you so much for sharing and being you.
Love from GA 💕💕
Glad you like them!🎃🧡

@@EllenRuthSoap 😍 oh yes!!! a family favorite being among other favorites like lemon meringue cheesecake, key lime cheesecake & milk chocolate marbled cheesecake that they request I make! I have a request that reminds me of - my oldest sons favorite is pecan pie and I'm wondering for the holidays can u make a pecan pie type soap with half pecan embeds with some chopped as well on top?? awe that would be lovely seeing u make it!! possibly a dollop of whipped cream and/or ice cream on each bar! oh yeah!! if u don't have the time that's ok but would love to see your expertise on it! dang ya know, I just created a pecan soap! 😍thanks Ellen Ruth
Yes I also make pecan cheesecake ❤ I have no idea why I have two different UA-cam names?! I'm sorry about that. Possibly the Google emails linked to the phone
Parabéns lindo bom gosto

Loved watching, and enjoyed listening, both soaps turned out perfectly, thank you so much for sharing. 🧡edit: the lather looks so nice. 😍
Oh thank you!🎃
@@EllenRuthSoap you’re welcome! ☺️💕
Love your videos, so inspirational since I have my first bath under my belt (Bramble Berry pumpkin sandalwood swirl) (ambitious I know) and 4-6 weeks to cure. But I really love all your videos they give me courage to try to soap.
That's awesome ❣️
Love this video, Ellen! Now I'm inspired to make a batch of pumpkin soap ♥. I also agree with what you said about rancidity. It's amazing how lye-based soaps with natural and organic ingredients don't go rancid. I used a whole banana and some coconut milk in a 2 and a half pound batch that I made in January and I still have some bars from that batch left, and it didn't go bad. I had kept some bars because I was intrigued about it growing beasties, and it's a good thing that it didn't! 😇 And you're right about not using too much of an organic ingredient. We don't want our precious oils and butters going to waste over an experiment with food stuff ☺
Your banana coconut soap sounds amazing!
@@EllenRuthSoap Thank you! You might want to try it, but in my experience, I wouldn't recommend it for people with dry or sensitive skin because it's like a moderately strong exfoliant and after using it for like a week or two, it'll make the top layer of your skin shed... but it's nice. Has a creamy bubbly lather. Maybe finish off with a body butter ☺
They came out amazing Ellen, all of them. I even like the “workable” ones more. They look like real pumpkins with lines, you know the rough pumpkin sometimes you see at the store? Just beautiful and I used that fragrance last year on a sugar scrub and was a hit. Thank you
Thank you🎃🧡
They are gorgeous! I made 2 batches of pumpkin soap recently. One I used the pumpkin purée and the second I used a pumpkin powder. My fragrance pumpkin spice accelerated too. Maybe the cinnamon in the fragrance is the issue. The recipe you gave for the frosting, would that be good to use to make embeds. You have me hooked on the column embeds.
"...if you're a super crunchy granola person..." 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🎃
These came out so beautiful. Omgosh I loved the pumpkins and the color in the big mold. Just stunning. Ellen I have a question you mentioned in the description box morouge candle do they sell the fragrance to US, and if so how would u know the price.
Ty so much for sharing.
Yes, they have a US shop too, if you go to the link it's for that.
@@EllenRuthSoap ty Ellen
How much pumpkin per pound of oils? Pure magic as usual! 🥰🥰 adding this oil to my list
You can add up to 1 oz per lb of oils
Awesome. thank you @@EllenRuthSoap
Soo cute.. did you mention which green colorant you used? I got distracted and may have missed it..
Also- unrelated.. do you have any suggestion for a good Apple or Apple spice FO?
The green is Pine mica from BeScented. Apple scents can be tricky, WSP and Natures Garden have a couple of good ones.
Where can I buy the big pitchers you mix the soap in please? They look perfect!
Here's the link, it's such a great pitcher: amzn.to/465Dif7
@@EllenRuthSoapGreat… thank you! I just bought 2!
Hey! So how much pumpkin purée did you put in and how much lye? It doesn’t say in your recipe. Thank you! Soap looks wonderful.
The recipe was what I used for the embeds and piping, it didn't have any pumpkin in it. When I do a puree in soap, I take a portion of the liquid volume from the lye solution to make room for it.
Hi Ellen! Do I have to cook my freshly cut pumpkin?
I think raw pumpkin would be too hard to get a smooth puree on, so it would leave chunks...
Cooking fresh pumpkin is easy. I used to bake them, but found a recipe to cook pumpkins in an instant pot, so much easier. Just Google cooking pumpkins, and you will find how to do it. I have used my cooked fresh pumpkin in soap, and it works well.
I’m not sure if I’m missing it but I can’t find the frosting or piping recipe?
It's in the description box
I never heard you say how much pumpkin to use?!
For this size batch, I'm using about 5 oz of pumpkin puree.
