It's a folk tale about the tiger calling the sun. "Hae" means "Sun" and "Ya" is like "Hey" so Heya is like "Hey Sun"

@@xiaotudou.Well maybe search up abt why chinese and korean culture is similar, korean culture has been heavily influenced by chinese culture
This is Korean folktales that have been handed down for a long time. (The days when tigers smoked...)
'heya' The meaning of the Korean chuimsaeis and a tiger who loved the sun
HEYA is the Korean expression of Sun. The story of a hungry tiger trying to eat a woman and children, "The Sun and the Moon," is an old Korean fairy tale
Thanks for checking out IVE
IVE 'HEYA' is a fusion song inspired by the Korean folktales of “The Tiger Who Swallowed the Sun” and “The Sun and the Moon”. The 'HE' pronunciation of HEYA means sun. When YA is added to it, it means to speak to the sun. The pronunciation of HEYA is also used as a musical element in Korean folk music, and while it doesn't have a specific meaning in itself, it's used to enhance the mood of the song and add a sense of rhythm. In the end, the song is a fusion of Korean culture in its name, lyrics, and visuals. This music video is more fun to watch if you understand Korean folklore. 😃
IVE will release another MV on May 15, 2024.
Just caught the world being inside of that jewelry box, pretty cool concept. Also the sunset + family silhouette tat on the arm is also very unique and cool looking. Tks for the upload.

@@i.mwhoami1086 Whether you admit it or not, this is the fact.👌🤌🇰🇷🤏🫰
해야 (Haeya) means "Sun" or "(calling) sun!"
HEYA is based on an original folktale IVE created.
"a tiger who loves the sun"
tells the story of a tiger who is off on a search for the sun, who is hidden in the darkness, metaphorized by IVE
in the opening of the song yujin was holding a pipe and there's a smoke coming out of rei's mouth...
in Korean folk tales instead of “once upon a time” they’d sometimes use “back when tigers used to smoke”
** the idea came from a Korean folktale titled "해와 달이 된 오누이/sun&moon siblings"
