I did mention him "shooting wardrobes" what I mean is, you can use a shooting range and be super accurate but in a real combat situation with adrenaline ect and no experience of that its unlikely he would be that accurate, if that makes sense
@@weightinglist You do not understand "writing" on a fundamental and simplest level: realism has to be compromised to some extent in all writing for the writing to be "writing," if you do not understand that fiction =/= reality then you should not be reviewing fiction whatsoever.
@ElzekoGD I understand there has to be a certain degree of fantasy with it being a show thats fictional otherwise anything could happen at any time, its the way in which it was written that I did not like. Gi Hun has never been shown to shoot or kill anyone on screen before so it doesn't make sense for him to suddenly be a ruthless killer. There's levels to it, John Wick you know he's going to survive complete nonsense but it makes sense given the continuity from previous films, with this it just didn't add up so I brought it up
I get what you're saying but it just felt so set up for him to win and just unbelievable, I know its fiction dont get me wrong but thats the sort of thing that annoys me
6:55 I think it's not PTSD; along the show i think the idea is that he was not actually in the military but just faked it for whatever reason. When they talked about the military there were some reaction shots of him that suggest that and then his performance at the shootout which seemed pretty unprofessional compared to the other ones who were in the military kind of indicates that he does not really have experience from the military.
I get what you mean that does make sense but the second they start shooting on the stairs in the end scene he's covering his ears like he hasnt had guns fired directly next to him all season haha. Yeah the firing the gun without even looking and wasting ammo does confirm abit what you're saying. I still felt like it was convenient to the plot so they survived into the next games though
Hang on, they recycled the first game to throw off the audience and main character into expecting Dalgona so they could setup a curve ball. The idea is that player 001 is fucking with him by setting him up to play hero as he leads the group through red light green light....only for him to be torn down for misleading the group into thinking Dalgona is next. 456 then feels a lot of guilt for misleading the group about Dalgona. I think it was a good angle.
Hadn't thought of it from that perspective tbf, I understand what you're saying. I think my issue is coming from the fact that this season felt very light on actual games and to have a game recycled from the previous season whether its to mess with Gi Hun or not it still felt lacking imo. It does feel like the whole vibe was to let Gi Hun survive and humiliate him for ever trying to come back but again I just wish this wasn't half a season, if you get what I mean.
Bro please rewatch the show but this time with your eyes open and your ears unpluged, this second season was amazing and the characters were amazing, half of your questions are answered in the show if you even paid attention, id suggest you watch a youtube video that explains the second season because its obvious that you didnt understand a single message the show was trying to show
You're entitled to your opinion but clearly you love the show and are unwilling to see any of the points I've made, what specifically did they answer? The message I got was its hopeless for him to go back into the games because he's never going to win unless they let him win and overthrow them which makes no sense
Also people think differently gihan probably just thought that his mom not being there it was the reason he did it and it's not that crazy to think that he could take them down with that amount of money and the fact that he understood how things worked a lot more than anyone else did and could form alliances and tell people I do agree that it should have been at least two more episodes and one more real game longer though but I'm certainly not mad about it
It is crazy though I think that's partially the point, £25 million is a lot of money but it is nowhere near enough to hire an entire special forces team and take down a presumably multi billion dollar organisation with 100s of armed guards who have no issue with following orders and dying for the cause.
Some of these criticisms are you being annoyed with the characterizations not the actual show lol. Thanos speaks english because he's supposed to be a little cringe, trying to be relevant.
Is it not possible to be critical of characters and the way theyre written when reviewing a show or am I wrong? I brought up Thanos out of genuine curiosity more than anything, couldn't understand why no one ever acknowledged his English nor did they respoond to it in English
Ok first you're missing a lot of the honour and respect in the Asian cultures that would cause people to not do all the things you said at the beginning of the video it's not as good as season 1 but they're not going to change the title of the show to something different especially when they technically did play multiple games and the pentathlon was like 2 or 3 games in one First of all you don't know if there's going to be a betrayal because nobody knew the reason that the man that runs things entered the game to begin with and he's part of the group that's obsessed with things being fair and interesting and there are many games where it would have been very hard to not kill him like they did with 001 Also they allowed the fight to go on until a certain point because they needed the right number of people roughly Obviously they want to mess with people and mess with Jihan more than anything because obviously they could have killed him and considering they're already conceded that season 3 is going to happen all of the complaints you make at the end are useless because there is more coming anyway so I'm going to reserve my review until I see the whole series so I feel like you've just gone and blowing your load getting to worked up for this also it's a TV show so obviously they're going to be nitpicks in any show you could pick your favorite show of the year and I could find 10 times or something kind of a logical happens like obviously geehan isn't going to lose the first game and die as the main character but you also knew he wasn't going to die at any time this season considering they're already said season 3 is happening Just do you like 5 minutes of research before these videos and they'll be so much better dude
I just think the russian roulette scene was unnecessary and fail to see why he would risk death after spending so much time trying to find the games again. As for the guy not stealing his money, they're already a criminal so it would stand to reason that their morals are skewed, criminals still exist in asian culture do they not? I concede on the 001 part or atleast some of it, I personally didn't like it but I understand why they did it the way they did. They aren't useless complaints because there shouldve been more to season 2 which was my whole issue with the series, instead of filling it with who's going to vote X or O they shouldve had more games and atleast got it closer to the finale.
6:42 i think you forgot about gi huns shooting range he had in the motel, since that would explain his accuracy
I did mention him "shooting wardrobes" what I mean is, you can use a shooting range and be super accurate but in a real combat situation with adrenaline ect and no experience of that its unlikely he would be that accurate, if that makes sense

the russian roulette shows how player 456 is still in this gambling mindset that's the whole point. to show he's a flawed martyr
I get what you're saying but it just felt so set up for him to win and just unbelievable, I know its fiction dont get me wrong but thats the sort of thing that annoys me
I really liked squid game two I think the second season really build up nicely and added a new element to the show that season why didn’t have
Fair enough, I think season 3 is the final season so I'm unsure how this all ends

Why they made it? Its money, the answer is always money
Hahaha very good point or was it so MrBeast could make squid game 2 for UA-cam...
Sorry voice-to-text and it doesn't like my American accent so apologies if I sound drunk
No worries I got you

Couldn't agree more. I did somewhat enjoyed the season but it was a big downgrade from season 1.
Yeah I'm the same I enjoyed it but felt like it had too much filler
@weightinglist if season 3 doesn't improve or ruins season 2. I'll just stick with season 1 for my rewatches
Completely agree, it works as a single series for me so can't argue with that!

First of all you don't know if there's going to be a betrayal because nobody knew the reason that the man that runs things entered the game to begin with and he's part of the group that's obsessed with things being fair and interesting and there are many games where it would have been very hard to not kill him like they did with 001
Also they allowed the fight to go on until a certain point because they needed the right number of people roughly
Obviously they want to mess with people and mess with Jihan more than anything because obviously they could have killed him and considering they're already conceded that season 3 is going to happen all of the complaints you make at the end are useless because there is more coming anyway so I'm going to reserve my review until I see the whole series so I feel like you've just gone and blowing your load getting to worked up for this also it's a TV show so obviously they're going to be nitpicks in any show you could pick your favorite show of the year and I could find 10 times or something kind of a logical happens like obviously geehan isn't going to lose the first game and die as the main character but you also knew he wasn't going to die at any time this season considering they're already said season 3 is happening
