Reuniting the director, writer and stars of Forrest Gump, HERE is an original film about multiple families and a special place they inhabit. The story travels through generations, capturing the most relatable of human experiences. Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Cast Away, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Contact, Back to the Future) directs from a screenplay by Eric Roth (Forrest Gump, Killers of the Flower Moon, Dune: Part One, A Star Is Born) and him. Told much in the style of the acclaimed graphic novel by Richard McGuire on which it is based, Tom Hanks and Robin Wright star in a tale of love, loss, laughter, and life, all of which happen right Here.

I love how quickly this transforms from a movie into a play. Must be so hard to market this kind of experience! Respect to Sony for green lighting this
They are bleeding money. They only green lit this project with Tom Hanks because they made money off the last three movies with Hanks. Here tanked at the box office.😂😂
@@Sam19509 It's a Robert Zemeckis movie too.
@@Mark-ns3jo lol that director has had a couple stinkers of late as well. Remember Welcome to Marwen.🤣🤣
@@Sam19509 Never seen it but I do know his films from the last few years haven't been great.
I legit love the concept of this movie. A movie taking place in one singular location, showing the history of that location, and the many generations that have lived there. Robert Zemeckis might be back if this is good.
The effects look a bit rubbish at the beginning but the idea is great so respect anyway
@@walpolekidscomics879 A bit? It looks like a video game.
@@Blunder03I never know if I my opinion is valid because I always felt the Eric bana hulk had better CGI than the rest of the marvel universe films but no one agreed 😅😅
When did he leave?
great concept, shame the cgi just wasnt believable which just pulls you out of the movie
I can’t believe this movie didn’t last in theaters. I went opening day and bawled MY EYES OUT at the end. This is one of the best and most heartfelt films I’ve ever seen. I can’t wait to buy it when it comes to Blu-Ray 🤧❣️
blu-ray ? DVD ?😮
Worst movie ever was laughing out how awful it was.
This sort of stuff doesn't do so well in cinemas anymore. With the cost of tickets being what they are now, people save visits for big blockbusters and stream the rest.
I wish I saw it in the theater it was great
@@omidfilmsthe acting was a bit rough
It feels like Im just seated in a stage, and I'm jsut seated down, watching everything unfold and change infront of me
People have lost the ability to appreciate a movie like this. This is real art. Love it. More please!
Its derivative sentimental bullshit and nothing more. For fucks sake, even the effects are godawful. What is there to enjoy?
No, people just lost respect for Tom Hanks. They would have watched this with someones else
I honestly thought to myself that if it had been made years ago, people would have loved it.
i have never cried so hard watching a movie in a long time
from the bad green screen effects?
@@purefoldnz3070please 😂😂😂
This movie just gives you a certain feeling, and that’s why I loved it
I wasn't sold on the concept of the fixed camera position, at least from the interviews, but seeing the storytelling unfold... I'm in damn it. I'll go see it.
This film deserves an Oscar!! very artistic every detail have been thought
I saw this movie in a theater earlier this month and I truly have to say, this movie was a masterpiece. IMO, it should be up for nomination of Best Picture for the Oscars next year.
yeah but its probably going to pick up all the Golden Raspberries.
@@purefoldnz3070I really hope not. Why would you think that?
@@traydaniel0403 why? the movie was a bomb and everyone hated it from critics to causal movie goers
Tom Hanks can't act his way out of a nutsack.
It's nothing special. Some people leave before the end
As a baby boomer that grew up with related experiences, memories and fascinations, I LOVE this movie, and I'm grateful for it. It means the world to me, because it was and is my world. However, my grandkids don't live with this view of time and nostalgia. Change is constant, not a novelty or cause for contemplation. Perhaps a lot of Babyboomers like me didn’t go to the theater to see it, because it's ultimately depressing. It's more than just missing the supposed "Good Old Days". We grew up in a very optimistic postwar society, and that optimism has been deeply challenged. Lastly, this is fundamentally a play, not a movie. Perhaps marketing it as "a play on time for the ages" could level set better.
I think this movie is relly good. I liked the inventions and easter eggs for the future, like when they would say how something could never happen, but in this day and age, we know that it did happen.
Robert Zemeckis did as much for the modern movie industry as James Cameron, and still focuses his craft at making great stories.
I will always watch his film regardless of what people say.
This is a really cool concept. I used to have fun imagining what had happened on the same ground where my house stood as a kid. Someone had the same thoughts and made this movie.
"The Future?" We Got you Zemeckis!
I wasn’t expecting a baby diving head first into the ground wtf😂😂
Don't have kids? Or it just hasn't happened yet, but I bet you every single parent can picture a similar moment!
A doll and CGI , No kids were harmed during the making of this film
ya don't say?!
3:14 This melody reminds me so much of the Forrest Gump Main Theme.
Yup! It's the same composer. Alan Silvestri.
This film is a Timelapse with a camera stood in one spot.
Indeed. That is the concept. Thank you for providing this information.
Don Burgess (the director of photography/cinematography): "ez money"
Incredibly lazy right
The concerning thing is that the director’s cut is all in real time
yeah i heard it's doing great in retirement homes
3:14 i have a feeling i'm gonna bawl my eyes out till my sight is blurry with this film
This feels like an unskippable cut scene
It’s so awesome that this film is only done in one camera angle
Many people were bored by this movie, I personally loved it. It really makes you think about the passage of time. It is crazy if you think about a spot on Earth, and what may have happened in that very spot 1,000 years ago, 2,000 years ago..etc. 1,000 years from now...whoever is in this spot on Earth probably will know nothing about me or anything that happened here in this time period.
Really makes you think.
😂😂😂😂 when the baby fell! Caught me so off guard!
Wow loving this reminds me of my childhood life while growing up through out the years
7:50 is the best part. 😂
.
RICKYY!!
I thought 8:15 was the best.
can't wait to see it
I'm very impressed with this movie.
I was just going to quickly check out a bit of it and ended up sitting through the whole thing. Wow
I’ve never seen the movie. I remember seeing the Ads.. and someone mentioned this was the best movie they ever seen so I had to see what it was.. I actually like this movie a lot from the little bits I’m able to see. Awesome concept it’s CRAZY how nobody thought of that idea and turned it into a big movie, someone in a digital media class in school could be able to create something like this. Very well done.
Haven’t seen this yet but I’m excited too it looks so good.
5 seconds of this music already makes me wanna bawl… paired with that nostalgic feeling? Ohmygod.. WHO’S CUTTING ONIONSS ?! 😢😢
3400 in 1945 is only $60k today. Jesus
$60,000 for that house?!

Goddddddddamn.

This is one of the most beautiful books I've read.
Wow. Really makes you think about your own livingroom.
That's true . In the room i'm setting now , 35years ago , it was a wonderful open space with an old beautiful tree , and in the same corner i'm now , i 'm pictured for the first time when i had only 7 days with people whose died , gone or just diseaper ...
One of the best movies I've seen in the last years
Loved it. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. 10/10.
this has the visual aesthetic of something you would see waiting in line at disneyworld
Not out until January in the UK :(
excellent video
7:53 If you play it at 0.25 speed, You can see the baby's arms grow twice as long for some reason when it falls
i didn't notice anything but CGI is rarely done perfectly.
HERE
1:38 looks like the same quality as a FMV CD ROM game from the mid 90s
Zemeckis has lost it
@@vishaansingh1019 too right
IKR?!?! I'm watching this thinking that The quality looks like CD-ROM interactive games from the late '90s.
@@mikerivers7559 haha yeah, it really does. This movie should have gone straight to CD ROM!
Where do I click to get to the next screen?
It didn’t even last a week in Las Vegas. I wanted to see it and it is out of theatres.
You can stream it now
Amazing movie from one of my all time favourite filmmakers. Rotten Tomatoes isn't always right.
I coulda swore there was gonna be dinosaurs in the begining
Thank god there’s still true film makers willing to take risks for the sake of art and storytelling.
Hollywoods endless drivel of pointless sequels and superhero flicks has become quite mind numbing over the past couple of decades.
I can't wait for the sequel there
I loved this movie so much
RICKY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh that's what's inside that book! I thought it was about Architecture.
WHY DID YOU GUYS EDIT OUT THE DINOSAURS IN THE BEGINNING OF THE MOVIE??? HUGE MISTAKE
5th time that Robert Zemeckis works with Tom Hanks

Damn it, Ricky!
it was a great movie
..I find it entertaining! Loved the full 8 mins of it!
7:52 LOL!
I want a version of Here, but with the Germans digging and building Gus's lab and then Walt and Jesse working on it and eventually destroying it at the end. Sounds pretty sick.
A Sitcom With The Audience Laughing Background SFX
It reminds me of a Disney World ride, or something from Planet Earth - something amazing to look at, hear and feel
The first thought that came to mind was, "Forrest Gump?" And sure enough when I read the description 😂
Awesome :)
The first movie that makes me cry ans always thinking about it 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
This has the Zemeckis magic
This movie looks interesting. Are in front of a green screen? Because some shots looks... odd, but I can't really put my finger on it though.
Wow this looks good, why didn’t it last…totally going to buy it ❤❤
1:15 hilltop colony from The Walking Dead
U know its not doing well in cinemas if they have to make an 8 minute extended preview
7:51 that poor baby 😂
The voice of Andy in Toy story ❤
I'm gonna say it, this movie flopped because they put like ZERO effort into marketing it. There's one trailer, and like two real featurettes and that's it, no big press tours, no behind the scenes deepdives, no cool TV spots. They should've really just gone all in and marketed the heck out of it.
BEYOND THE SPIDERVERSE PLZ❤❤❤❤
The editing choice of BOXES is very very bad
I just love this film. It's different from everything I've seen. Remind me of evolution
The Tree of Life meets Stewart Brand's How Buildings Learn
I'm in.
7:53 HAHAHAHA
I’m HERE
I feel like they really failed to market this movie I didn't find out about it until like 2 weeks before it had come out and the people who did see it all trashed it because they were under the impression is was gonna be a forrest gump 2.0. I really liked it, I definitely felt like the pacing was a bit messy but it was still good and deserved more attention.
Carrousel of Progress: The Movie
It was a great movie with an interesting concept
Wow the cgi is awful in this, I definitely don’t want to see this. Good job I watched this preview
hilarious how they go out of their way to show slaves didn't build Tom Hanks' house
Beth Dutton 😀
I wonder if the cast includes Isaac kappy.
Ricky Sit Down!!
I really liked this trailer so will I like the movie? I did not even know about it and it is reviewed poorly. Should I check it out?
Who installed that hardwood floor? I hope it was free.

How did they write a Script for this?
With a pen and paper; ink pen, to be precise, to add a certain character to it.
It is based on a graphic novel
@@akiraperu1 Yes! i do Know that. I was Wondering if they just had the graphic novel and just called that a script since it is the same shot over again
