  • in this video number {832} Inductor Behavior in Buck Regulator or in Pulsed Switching. i explained how inductor works / behaves in a square wave pulsed switching when it is being used in buck converter or buck regulator. when a pulsed voltage signal is applied to an inductor, it provides inductive reactance and it stores energy in form of expanded magnetic field. when the pulse is removed, the magnetic field collapse, which causes to provide reverse emf voltage, which are ideally same in amplitude and reverse in polarity. this it repeats the action again and the inductor starts oscillation and this oscillation effect ends due to damping effect
