The first MK movie may be a klassic, but they really messed up with Scorpion. The living kunai I could forgive, but the fact that he and Sub-Zero are brainwashed the whole damn time sucks.

The only difference is in the original, scorpion says "Get over here" before he makes contact with anything! In the new version he makes contact with the spear and then says"Get over here!" Just saying
The snake was a cool thing at the time. It gaved a feeling that Scorpion was evil demon(wich is true since originally Scorpion was antagonist). So it worked well back in 1995

yea I was honestly p disappointed with how little they incorporated original/iconic musical themes, as well as an interesting battle field,,, the whole movie they were hyping up the tournaments and we ended up not even getting a taste of it :/ like I understand they’re tryina set it up for a sequel, but I don’t think as many ppl would be interested in one bc of how bad many things were
not to mention how weird the mc’s fit was post-arcana finding, like I get he’s newly learning, but it just looked like a weird tight sweater after it’s initial appearance, and they also stopped making it red every time he got hit after his fight w the four-armed one, so the consistency (not just w that but also plenty of other things) was all over the place

I really love Sanada's voice, Ed Boon matches only the games aesthetics, even for 1995 sounded a little bit over the top, if the voice matched Sanada's Scorpion would even be a little bit more over the top! I'm ok with what we'll get at 16 april.
The Rope Dart Attack: Old One: In an odd way makes sense, especially when you look at the old pixel days. But making it a snake? No. Nope. As much as he had been undead, snakes were NOT his forte. New One: Historically pretty accurate. We even get to see how it is actually made earlier in the movie. They really were just a garden tool and a long rope. Kept sharp enough, it could pierce flesh, though not armor. But now because Hanzo is a revenant, of course it would be more powerful. "Get Over Here!" Old One: Really can hear an Amercian accent, which is NOT what Hanzo's ethnic background is, but once again this was before full culture representation was a thing. And let's be fair Ed Boon played a good character regardless. New One: You KNOW that this is a Hanzo that is no longer human: he truly is Scorpion. Viewers might find it odd he speaks English with this line, but... well games he was almost always speaking English. And anyone who knows Japanese history around the Edo period would understand that he'd know English back in his original time too. But this is Scorpion with Japanese as his *first* language and English as his second, not the other way around. In the End: 1995 is defiantly focused on the games of its time. 2021 is more lore focused as it takes place in a whole different universe.
Since the initial trailer, I can hear that they tweaked the get over here a bit to be more audable which makes it a lot better than it initially sounded

It would seem so out of place when Hanzo Hisashi, who is Japanese by the way, speaks in English with a Japanese accent the entire movie and all of a sudden have Ed Boon voice that part in a clear voice/intonation. That would be so silly. Plus, the this new voice sounds way more menacing and fits the new character design.
I hate the fact that Scorpion lost his snake just to be replaced by the more realistic "harpoon" with a spear attached to a chain... those double snakes were the shit, really made him look as a specter from Nether Realm.

Mortal Kombat 1995 stayed true to the game, and says get over here how it's said in the game.
For the 2021 film, they changed the voice in theatrical cut, it's better. More like Ron Yuan's "get over here" in MK11
