    I need help..
    My sister got bed bugs a year ago, and she brought them to my room. I always cry overnight because I want them gone so bad. I will spray achool in my room to kill them. Them a couple months later I started getting bites to this day.. I miss sleeping without being scared. I want to cry everyday, and scared to sleep. My sister has a bunk so she sleeps at the top so she won't get bed bugs. I'm surprised they haven't got up there. She's always bragging how perfect her bed is.. Because she knows I have them. So everyone has a perfect sleep besides me. I need them gone.. Forever. I don't want to see them again. Please help me. This there any way to clean my mattress? Please help. I can't take it anymore.

    I have a few questions. I have my second fumigation Monday coming. Now...how do I deal with things that are not washable such as shoes, boots, certain coats, backpacks, purses and bags?? How long am I supposed to live with everything in plastic bags and bins? How many treatments does it take for everything to go back to normal? My superintendent failed to tell me not to set my home back to the way it was after the first spray. My friend brought them over and it is literally just me having to do all this time consuming packing and storing. I bought traps from Ortho but they haven’t caught anything and I don’t have any stains or marks on my bedding but I do seem to be getting random bites. What do I do with my brand new memory foam pillow? How long do I wait until I am able to place my bedding, pillow and box spring encasements on after the second fumigation? How long should I stay away from home for? I’m having soooo much anxiety and panic. I have missed school, work, lost weight, sleep and money. I live in an apartment and they checked other units and it was only me who had them. HELP PLEASE!!!

    What about putting the mattress in an encasement and then throw it out to avoid eggs from dropping as you move it along? I would like to treat the room and get rid of the mattress altogether because my kids keep jumping and playing on that thing and then coming in the living room. it's driving me crazy to think I have spend all that money all at one time to treat both my kids room, living room and dining area.

    • @BedbugSupply
      @BedbugSupply  7 років тому +5

      The video you're commenting on makes it pretty clear that it's never a good idea to throw out your mattress due to bed bugs. It's way cheaper and more effective to just treat it than to pay to replace it.

  • @R3DRAIN89
    @R3DRAIN89 7 років тому +20

    So basically theres no way to completely get rid of them forever. But just learn to live with them and minimize them is what your saying

    • @BedbugSupply
      @BedbugSupply  7 років тому +16

      That's not at all what we're saying! Treat your entire bed, isolate and encase it, then treat the rest of the room. If done properly with follow-up applications, you'll be free of bed bugs and your bed will be bed bug proof to prevent future reinfestation.

    • @BedbugSupply
      @BedbugSupply  7 років тому +12

      Unless you dispose of all your personal belongings and move naked, there's a chance that you'll bring bed bugs with you. When done right, a DIY bed bug treatment should cost less than moving and replacing all your stuff. It's also pretty uncool to move and leave bed bugs behind in the walls.

    I’ve been reading that you need to wash all your clothes in hot water and put them in the dryer! I have expensive cashmere sweaters and I can’t do that. Is there a way to kill them on fabrics without ruining the fabric?

    • @BedbugSupply

      We stock portable bed bug heaters for just this purpose - they're like small fabric boxes with electric heaters that can safely treat items that can't be laundered or steamed. :)

      It's unlikely that bed bugs will be hiding in a washing machine or other appliance, but I'm not aware of any products that would be good for treating those either.

    What do I do if I found two bodies or skins (I’m not sure) and one of my shirts is stained after being on the floor-and this is after a heat treatment?

    • @BedbugSupply

      Unless you find a live bed bug, all that indicates is that you had an infestation in the past.

    • @BedbugSupply
      @BedbugSupply  7 років тому +4

      Most likely not. Bed bugs die after several minutes of exposure to heat of at least 120 degrees. It would have to be pretty hot out for insulated belongings in a bag to reach that temperature and sustain it.

    okay, i need help.
    i just moved into an apt aug of 16'
    since then i found 1 bug in nov 16', had one treatment done.
    it is now apr 17' and i found 4 bugs around the same size as the first.
    1. why have i now found more bugs after treatment?
    2. i was told to leave my apartment for an hour doing 1st and 2nd treatment, after 2nd i came back and there was a white powder on top of my mattress and he sprayed the bottom and apartment, any ideas on what was possibly used?
    3. i own a desk made of plastic, computer chair, metal tv stand, and some 2 plastic totes. can bed bugs be located on these items and if so how should i treat them?
    4. i have terrible anxiety, insomnia, and ocd. for the past 3 days i haven't slept in my bed but instead slept in my computer chair. is it bad to sleep in my computer chair? i can't imagine sleeping knowing they're still in my bed.
    thanks...

    • @BedbugSupply
      @BedbugSupply  7 років тому +7

      1. Bed bugs can hibernate without a meal for up to a year, so it's possible that you didn't eliminate all of them.
      2. Some people got the idea online that scattering diatomaceous earth powder on your bed and around the room is a good idea. It isn't.
      3. Bed bugs can hide in almost any tight space on or around your bed, and even in adjacent rooms in some circumstances.
      4. You should keep sleeping in your bed and take steps to treat bed bugs in the bed, then isolate and encase the bed to stop the biting while you work on treating the rest of the room.

      i really appreciate the help. my apt manager told me not to do any home remedies to treat the bed bugs and that they'll "fix" it. also, why is this powder a bad idea? it's all over my bed, how should i go about sleeping with it on the mattress? thanks!

    • @BedbugSupply
      @BedbugSupply  7 років тому +5

      Diatomaceous earth is a useful product when used correctly. Scattering it all over the place is not using it correctly.

    I threw away my bed set plus nearby furniture. I also sprayed my room.
    I always only saw bed bugs on my mattress is it possible they could’ve only lived on my mattress?
    Lastly could bed bugs live in closets?

    • @BedbugSupply
      @BedbugSupply  6 років тому

      It's extremely unlikely that the bed bugs were only on your mattress. They can hide anywhere in your room that a credit card can fit, which naturally includes lots of spaces in your closets.

    I heard that they're attracted to carbon dioxide. so if you mix granulated sugar bottle water and yeast put it in container and leave it overnight they'll crawl in... Is this true

    • @BedbugSupply
      @BedbugSupply  7 років тому +4

      If you're in the same room, you'll be emitting much more carbon dioxide and will be a much more attractive lure due to your body heat (which CO2 devices lack).

  • @pinkbug8u

    What about after the first treatment? Can i throw away the bed frame where they were found? I see a lot of eggs on them and really dont want them to hatch. The spraying only works on bugs right? Not eggs? There's still a second treatment yet to be done. It's fairly small infestation i think (i only vacuumed up maybe 30-40 bugs after the first treatment). What about after the second treatment? Can I buy a new one then? Or maybe after 50-60 days once I'm sure they're gone? Which would u recommend?

    • @BedbugSupply
      @BedbugSupply  4 роки тому

      All high-pressure steamers and many residual sprays work on eggs.

  • @jossierivera936

    once you treat everything how do you avoid having them again?

    • @BedbugSupply
      @BedbugSupply  6 років тому +2

      Keep the ClimbUp Interceptors on the legs of your bed, check them frequently, and inspect your luggage after you come back from trips. There's no 100% guarantee, but those steps will reduce your chance of an infestation significantly.

    • @BedbugSupply
      @BedbugSupply  7 років тому +7

      It's certainly possible. Bed bugs are excellent hitchhikers and can find their way into your home from all sorts of places. I wouldn't even worry about where they came from since there isn't much you can do with that information.
