My personal thing is I LOVE this song because I am a Christian but I am also goth and even before I dressed goth my entire life I have always been a outcasted and treated differently because of my beliefs and the way i look...I am a Christian but I hate how church people can act I can't wait to move out of the south :)

Love this song. Such truth. I left the church at the age of 60 when I finally got past my guilt for being born the way I was. I’m an agnostic now as I just can’t get past all the guilt and self-hatred they fed me. I didn’t deserve that. No one deserves that. Thank you for sharing that truth.

Wow this song brings back so many painful memories of growing up. being bullied and beaten for being "different" crying in my sleep attempting to end my life several times cause I had nobody to talk to and those who did listen would tell me not to say a word. It's so heart breaking that so many of us can relate to this. Religion is supposed to be a beautiful thing that leads people through life. However, some of us didn't get to choose the right path for ourselves.

Love this song, it's so relatable. So much religious trauma, including but not limited to being asked to leave a particular church after I charged my brother for SAing me as a child. They said, and I quote "You shouldn't have let him do that." Like, I was 9 years old, how the crack was I supposed to do that?

God loves me just as I am. Some Christians don’t know what or how to love like Jesus did because of there close mindedness. But God LOVES UNCONDITIONALLY. No matter what. My love is not a sin. I love everyone unconditionally and I’m what a real Christian is. I’ve always had my heart on my sleeve. And had a open mind.
That's great. But do you call out pastor's who damn LGBT kids to hell? Do you call out racist rhetoric (that's what made me lose my fathe when moving to TN. The open racism. Crazy) Do you call out Christians who call people "Godless?"
I'm tired of hearing by Christians "But there's good Christians!" NO. We need accountability. Hold them and yourself accountable. Not because you're Christian, but because you're human and we ALL need to hold each other accountable.

Quite so. The relationship is the true life source. If it wasn’t for my genuine experience with Christ, I’d have been gone decades ago. The problem is not the words in the Bible so much but in the interpretation.
I have let the condemning words run off my back for 60 decades; my faith remains strong but I have only a small group in my life that I fellowship with anymore.
I cannot give up on God because the way humans-church and society- react and treat me.
If you think the Bible Belt is bad just wait until you see what modern day Soddom and Gomorrah brings us.
I highly encourage you to read Ezekiel 16: 49-50. Then tell us more about your bigotry.
