I think you don't get a lot of views simply because people don't work on their own boats. I really appreciate you sharing all this knowledge, deff helping me as I am preparing to pull my engine to replace the oil pan. No other videos cover this process as good as your videos. I hope the views pick up and you can make some money from this! Let me know if you have a Venmo. Be happy to buy you lunch!

Just watch a few of your videos-- excellent! Especially the engine and Leg videos. IMO these videos especially Volvo Penta should be rereleased as eng or leg remove and replace as a separately titled series. There are no such titled videos. Your among the very best as all matters of doing these operations!!! In case some doubts, 20 years doing boats, including training and certification to do so.

I need video 1-7 these are awesome videos I have to change my pump hydraulic lines the previous owner cut them and put a brass fitting it the line so he didn’t have to pull the engine, it worked for me for a year now but the lower unit started dropping slowly and I was having trouble getting it to raise, then I found the splits in both lines, so I have to pull the engine to fix it right

If you have a V8 yes! I4 and V6 have more room and could leave the motor installed. Please subscribe!

great videos! My situation is my gimble bearing is seized on the output shaft. I can't get the outdrive removed so figured I will pull the engine by leaving the bell housing in the boat and then drive the shaft out from inside the engine compartment. Have you ever had to do that and any suggestions? Thanks for all the great content.

Steve, I’ll tell you how to do it. Undo the six nuts that hold the stern drive in place, secure the outdrive with ratchet straps for safety. Loosen the two rear and two front nuts, so you have room to lift the motor up about 1/2 inch up. Hook a chain to the two lift points on the heads. Start to slowly lift the motor, maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Go to the rear of the boat. Attempt to wiggle the stern drive free. If needed, have someone shake the motor left and right as you are shaking the stern drive out. Raising the motor too high (3/4 + inches) will damage the engine coupler. Do not have a flat head screw driver in your hand during this process.
