Other countries don't use pesticides and chemicals as much as the great USA so a concept like organic (don't get me started on marketing) and needing federal regulation via USDA to verify and hold companies accountable from poisoning the masses for profits is foreign to them.

On the Big island of Hawaii we have organic options…but…most of the time it’s bruised, wilted and small. But speaking of, at our farmers markets a lot of the people buy fruits/veggies in bulk (not always from here) and repackage to re-sell. Usually papaya, apple banana, dragon fruit, coconut and mango and okinawan sweet potato is the only thing grown from the sellers other then seasonal items. Other markets depend on location around the island.

Hi again. We don't have a Costco in Oaxaca YET! Adults here really like cartoons...it's not just for the kiddies
Grana Padano Cheese is indeed similar to Parmesano. It comes from the Po Valley and is made with Unpasturized Cow's Milk.
Carla is quite right. In Oaxaca we make tacos dilled with Tuna or Sardines and oatmeal and onion. rolled in a tortilla and shallow fried in oil...yummy.
Neither I nor my Mexican spouse have ever had Bubba Tea. We are 60 and 71 years old. It went westward in the 90s (I think)

The makeshift conduit support in the market may not "seem like a big deal" but we "overregulate" in the states because we learn from mistakes like people getting really hurt and damaging property/businesses from a small accident like one of those posts being pushed over. Accidents are always waiting to happen and when they do the public loves to blame the government and sue each other.

I didn’t know hibiscus tea is popular in Mexico and that you can eat it! I started drinking it regularly over a year ago for its many health benefits. It has over 400% of the antioxidants found in green or black tea. As well, it has no caffeine. I’m Canadian Chinese and I now drink hibiscus tea more frequently than green or black tea. I buy dry hibiscus through a Canadian tea company that sources it from Egypt (the tea has origins in Africa). 🌺
I’ve been consuming monk fruit regularly for a few years because it’s keto-friendly (usually in coffee, cooking and baking). I buy the Lakanto brand. They have a series of monk fruit products.
Yes, bubble tea originated in Taiwan in the mid ‘80s. The first time I had bubble tea was in Hong Kong in 1996. A few years later, bubble tea shops started popping up in Toronto. So, it’s been popular in Toronto for about 25 years. 🇨🇦🧋
