VCO's, Envelope generators, Filters, Modulation Generator, etc, we will cover everything minus the patch bay, because it would be a super long video.

You can’t say that when presenting MS-20 filters. They’re absolutely filthy. 😛
Excellent introduction to the K-2! 14:57 Just to clarify: Filter 1 is supposed to sound like the early MS-20s which used the proprietary Korg-35 OTA chip as part of their filter circuit. Filter 2 is supposed to sound like later production MS-20s which used a revised filter design utilizing a standard LM13600 OTA chip. Korg’s MS-20 and MS-20 Minis reissues are based on the LM13600 OTA design, hence why they sound like the K-2’s filter 2 circuit.

Klasse Tutorial! Der K2 wird sehr gut und ausführlich erklärt. Auch die eingeblendeten Osci-Graphen sind hier super! Der Synth ist ja doch recht komplex gestylt, aber nun wird mir doch Einiges verständlcher. Endlich macht der K2 die Sounds, die ich haben will und totz heftiger Rumschrauberei nicht hinbekommen habe. Vielen vielen Dank hierfür! :-)

very good video , k2 is kind of hard if you are new at synthesis and your mind set is in typical synths design! I have neutron and pro 1 and of the 3 k2 have a special character that is unique

Excellent information and demonstrations, thanks! Mine arrived last night and the sound is excellent, however, I think my VCO 2 is broken as all I hear from it are faint clicks, no matter what wave form, octave, mix level...so sad..
thanks man, sorry to hear that. It happens, I had very expensive defective gear and cheap that never broke. Just send it back and get a new one. If returning it is not an option, send it to a tech, if will fix the issue with ease.
Just got mine. Makes no sound at all. The MIDI in LED does not light up. I also have the Behringer Pro-800 and with the same MIDI and Audio routing that synth works fine. I think I might have got a defective unit.
totally, although is fixable. Get a replacement.

Muchas gracias !!! Lo hago con Bitwig. Son plugins nativos del DAW, oscilloscope y spectrum analyzer. Si buscas en la WEB hay muchos gratis.

Hello. from Japan. I have an MS-10. I have a question about portamento. MS-10 does not have MIDI. Portamento has no effect when producing sound using the CV/Gate signal with the MS-10. Will portamento work if this K2 outputs sound using CV/Gate signals instead of MIDI?
I bought the MS-10 new when I was young. I've been using it for 40 years since then.
I directly zapped to the part with the detailled demonstration of the patch area. .... oh... there wasn't one. :( But nevertheless a good video!
Hey, I always split the videos when there is a patch bay, because it would turn the video in 2+ hours, and that is not good. In a couple of days, I will release a new one only talking about the patch bay. Every in and out providing an example, tried to make it as detailed as possible. I already filmed it and edited, so you can count on it. MS20 is my favourite synth, so this one is special for me.
