This came at a perfect time. I am working on myself through therapy to find the source of why I was insecure and seeking approval from relationships and it’s because I didn’t have my father in my life as a child, but it’s a blessing I’m a Muslim from birth so combining therapy and Islam has helped me understand the way Sheitan uses this fear against us and that I only need to seek approval from Allah, I can’t undo the past and why he wasn’t in my life but I have accepted the situation. Through therapy I understood the source of these feelings and behaviours, being able to label them helped. I’m more self aware of my needs, triggers, and have learnt the practical tools on how to set boundaries etc in relationships going forward, Alhamdulillah
Subhanallah I came to leave a comment almost identical to yours. The only difference is that I am unable to find a spouse and I may be self sabotaging or subconsciously fearful of entering into a marriage because of an absent father and sense of insecurity. I have just started therapy and am working through it. Anxious as I am already 34 and society makes me feel like time is running out. But time will continue to run whether I start my self work journey now or otherwise. May Allah set ease all our affairs.
do not feel like time is running out. if it is meant for you it will definitely happen but if not even if you try for thousands of hours it won't. trust Allah, and be sure that if Allah has written it for you, you'll definitely find a spouse. stay strong and be patient, inshAllah you'll have the reward after all. peace.... :) @@isikhayatim
Salam aleykom wa rahmatulah wa barakatuh. May Allah SWT bless you eternally with love, strenght and al afiyah and always show you proper guidance in your life. Ameen Ya Rabbi Alamen. Allhamdullilah Rabbi Alamen. Allahumma Salli Ala Sayidina Muhammad wa Ala Ali Sayidina Muhammad wa salam 💜💙💚💫
@@rvvfctn if you are able to sister please look for some therapy it helped me so much learning about different psychological schemas like emotional deprivation from childhood etc. I also used to self sabotage relationships but now I am aware of the whispers of Shaitan and work on loving myself so it makes me understand I deserve love from a man as a spouse also, no one can ever fill that loss of not having a father in childhood but it’s important to realise it’s a different kind of love with a spouse and ultimately you have to love yourself and believe you are valuable because Allah created you and takes care of you everyday Alhamdullilah ❤️
At the risk of the Mukhabarat (Jordanian CIA basically) seeing this comment, I am becoming stronger in Deen Elhamdulilah. Unfortunately Jordanian culture/traditions make it seem like I am becoming too “extreme”, even though I am only doing what brings me closer to Allah, including following the way of life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), as well as what is considered mandatory and Suna muakada in the Quran. Most Jordanian Muslims do the bare minimum (if they practice to begin with), and would consider going beyond what is mandatory to be too much. My own mother thinks I am too extreme, especially after I chose not to dance in a mixed wedding (my brother’s no less). I only attended the wedding because it’s my brother, but any mixed event with dancing is a no go for me in the future. I thank Allah for sending my wife of the past year to me, for she embodies what it means to LIVE your Deen, and is clearly an instrument of Allah in getting me to such a place as well. So yes, I am going through a lot of stress dealing especially with my mom, and even my dad to a certain degree, despite his belief that I am doing what is best for myself and my home. He still cautions me to be careful and try to work within the parameters of Jordanian society, and that worries me, since I always considered my dad to not really care what others think regarding one’s personal connection with Allah. But it looks like I will become even more religious than my dad, or at least not be as inhibited by insecurities (especially societal). My dad tried in the past to do what was best by Allah, and a lot of personal issues that affected the family ended up happening as a result. I myself am trying to introduce my daughter from my previous marriage into Deen through Salat first (she is 7 now), and slowly getting her to wear more modest clothing, at least where covering above the knee and shoulders and waist are concerned. Yet I have to be careful especially in this area, else I will be seen as being too hard on my daughter, and I ask that Allah make what I go through as easy as possible, and if not, may great ease come afterwards. Sorry for the trouble and may Allah grant ease to all here and beyond.
May Allah grant you strength to keep pushing I as a human being am proud of you, imagine what Allah feels about what you are doing -من ترك شيئا لله عوضه خيرا منه -التوكل -العمل الخالص لوجه الله You are striving and it is inspiring May Allah guide through you and strengthen other beliefs through you as well اللهم اجعلنا هداةً مهتدين
Thank you so much for posting this khutba. I am torn between things at this time and needed to hear what you have mentioned here about insecurity, validation and self worth. Worst part is we do not have wise selfless mentors or guides around even if we share our vulnerability. I wish there would have been such facilities at proximity
Hadith in this video: It was narrated that Sabrah bin Abi Fakih said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'the Shaitan sits in the paths of the son of Adam. He sits waiting for him, in the path to Islam, and he says: Will you accept Islam, and leave your religion, and the religion of your forefathers? But he disobeys him and accepts Islam. Then he sits waiting for him, on the path to emigration, and he says: Will you emigrate and leave behind your land and sky? The one who emigrates is like a horse tethered to a peg. But he disobeys him and emigrates. Then he sits, waiting for him, on the path to Jihad, and he says: Will you fight in Jihad when it will cost you your life and your wealth? You will fight and be killed, and your wife will remarry, and your wealth will be divided. But he disobeys him and fights in Jihad. ' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever does that, then he had a right from Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, that He will admit him to paradise. Whoever is killed, he has a right from Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, that He will admit him to Paradise. If he is drowned, he has a right from Allah that He will admit him to paradise, or whoever is thrown by his mount and his neck is broken, he had a right from Allah that he will admit him to Paradise.'"
Allah loves you so much He guided you to Islam. Take heart. Say, " O Allah, I ask you for your love and the love of those who love you and the deeds that will bring me your love. O Allah, make your love more beloved to me than myself and my family and even cold water."

I have scar on my face due to accident when I was little 🙂🥲💔.. I'm Soo much insecure coz people always ask O u still have those scars..🥲💔 I think I'm never gonna get married 🥲
Our scars are what makes us beautiful, your scar is a story. Allah has written our destinies for us so don’t overthink for He is the best of planners. Beauty is more than skin deep, it’s the person you are that brings out true beauty so don’t ever feel like you are less than because of your scar. How can we think we aren’t beautiful when Allah created us perfectly. A honest and good person who fears Allah and loves you for the sake of Allah will never let physical beauty outweigh inner beauty. May Allah ease your hardships and keep you in good health and happiness in this dunya and the hereafter. Ameen ❤
Salam alekum in sha Allah you will and the life of this world there is something about it thousand of years before we came our destiny was already written. May Allah mercy be with us all
