One of the many historical Royal Palaces that this country is famous for, Hampton Court Palace is worth visiting once in your life.
If you have been here, let me know your stories in the comments section below.
Visit Indian palaces in Rajasthan(a state in India) if you are really into Palaces.
My husband and I visited there it was highlight moment of my life! We stayed in London 26 days just like Brit’s not tourist my hubby did awesome job for exploring together!
Sorry I don’t use these videos as a guide because I’m a 13 year old kid and I rarely travel especially in COVID. I just watch the videos because I love seeing cool awesome places around the world and I love football so I enjoy the stadium tours. Keep up the good work
Thanks. Maybe you'll visit some of these places soon!
@@UltimateBucketList hopefully one day
Any favorite football club?

When I lived in England, Hampton Court was my favorite place to visit! I even took a day class at the Royal School of Needlework! So much fun!
Yes, it's definitely a fun day out. Most of the royal palaces are fun to visit, for sure!
Even though I live in America I’m going to go there one day !
Yes, I hope you do ... it's a cool place to visit, for sure!
It's also haunted by ghosts at Hampton Court palace. Did you see the ghost of Catherine' Howard? Who haunts the haunted gallery. 😀😀
Ahhhh, I actually asked about that!
Whilst none of the members of staff there have seen anything themselves, it is reputedly haunted by many ghosts - including Catherine Howard!
This video is giving me more reason to visit the UK. I would love to visit the UK as much as I can.
I'm a Tudor fanatic and Hampton Court is on my list of places I want to see if I ever get to London. FYI, when Henry had Anne Boleyn beheaded, he had all of their entwined initials removed from the Great Hall you went through showing where Henry and the Queen that currently had her head ate. They worked so fast that they forgot one and if you look closely you can find it.
One day! Someday you'll visit here and it'll be amazing. I'm not that much of a history buff and I loved my time here. It's only 30 minutes from central London and it's really easy to find.
@@UltimateBucketList went to London in 2012 but didn't make it to Hampton Court. I'm in a wheelchair now, which makes travel a little more difficult - especially international travel. Right now, I am seeing my bucket list through people like you. Just found your videos and immediately subscribed.
@@Gary-h6f Thanks Gary, sorry to hear of your personal predicaments. Admittedly, a lot of the palaces and castles aren't fully wheelchair accessible, but I believe you can still see the majority of things as by law over here, most attractions have to have that sort of access. Thanks for subscribing!
6:29 I’m curious as to how high are the ceilings? They’re extraordinary!
I don't know the exact ceiling height, but they are pretty immense.
I love this palace. I will not ever see it in person or any of the things your channel shows. You are the most delight to watch and professional. I got watch all your vids now! Ty, for showing us these places.
Thanks very much! I hope you do make it here one day, it's a lovely place to visit!
Your videos have been a godsend, especially during COVID. Actually get to see amazing places in the world while stuck at home! And commenting for the algorithm!
Thanks Christian!
Admittedly, I'd love to go to more exotic locations, but as of right now, I'm exploring more of what my country has to offer until the travel restrictions ease off a little.
I went here in 2017 and last week! I love it there. I’m so obsessed with history
It's awesome isn't it?!
Me too! Wonderful thing to be obsessed with 👌🏼
When do you think you're going to start to travel to international destinations?
That's a tough question to answer - the government seemingly changes its mind every few days and it's hard to book anywhere without the local government imposing restrictions etc.
In short: I have no idea!
Surprised and somewhat disappointed you didn’t wear a France football shirt to Hampton court hahaha
Not exactly suitable attire for one of these places!

London is my dream destination. Thank you for these amazing videos :)
One day you will come here. Glad you enjoy these videos :)
You might be a bit disappointe, it's depends on what movies or programs you based your opinion about UK.
@@UltimateBucketListHampton court Palace is outside London, in Thames Ditton, Surrey.
This is my fav palace after Versailles and Alhambra. Its a must visit, you will love it!
Absolutely! Definitely worth visiting once in your life!
Very nice tour around. I visited in 2018 and the kitchen area was being restored so it wasn't open, a good reason to go back right? I took the train from london and it was just as you described, follow the signs across the river and you're right there Loved it
Absolutely! Any reason is a good reason to go back. I loved the formal gardens, so pretty in the summer.
And it's probably one of the easier ones to find, that and Windsor Castle (see my other video).
Cheers Deb!
Wow, you were lucky to film in the chapel, I was there at the weekend and it was forbidden!
Oh really? They must have tightened up on security and who can / cannot take photos now.
Is it handicap accessible at all? I see all of the beautiful staircases & wondered about this.
The majority of the exhibitions at Hampton Court Palace are accessible to those with limited mobility as there is a lift to the State Apartments on the first floor. Please speak to a Palace Host if you wish to use it. As it's an old place, floors may be uneven and whilst they supply wheelchairs, you're better off bringing your own. The gardens are obviously handicap accessible.
A far cry from blackpool fc lol
Certainly a lot nicer!
Interesting! - which palace/castle do you think is best to visit in the uk?
I think this one comes highly recommended, but honestly - all of them have some unique history or feature.
It's worth a road trip just to explore them all!
Great to be watching your videos again ninh always interesting
Thanks, I appreciate you saying so :)
Thank you very much for this view of a storied place I most likely will never be privileged to visit in person! I only wish I had seen this years ago, as I am a English history nut (who lives in California!).
One day you might!
It's not too far from Central London ... a quick train ride away if you're ever in the city?
And you're welcome!
You could also take the 111 straight to Hampton court
That's correct.
I'm just fascinated at how they built such magnificent buildings so long ago! They had no real equipment or vehicles etc. - it’s really incomprehensible at how they did it! And how long if it take!? I’m not sure King Henry would be pleased at us common members of the public walking around his private Apartments! He’d have probably had us all beheaded for doing so! LOL
Yes I agree. I always marvel at how they made these places before the age of machinery. Thanks for stopping by!
@@UltimateBucketList Thanks for the great Video!
Keep it up bro! These are always sick!
Thanks Klay!
@@UltimateBucketList keep it up these are lovely 🤩
What's the weather like there
Like most of England, it can be unpredictable. It's definitely less rainy than where I'm from (the North).
If you go during the summer months, you'll be just fine.
Since you are for now confined to the UK, might I suggest going to Hipswell in North Yorkshire? It's the birthplace of John Wycliffe. I have a fascination with birthplaces. "Here is where a mind that spawned ideas was born" I say to myself. I went to Martin Luther's birthplace of Eisleben in Germany in 2007.
I'll consider it!
After watching your videos for a while I have a question. Have you lost or damaged your camera while filming your UA-cam videos? You’re a king!
Thanks! And yes, unfortunately camera accidents and losses do happen. Most notably in Marseille and Paris. It's just part of doing stuff like this.
Love all your videos! Well made and great narration too. 👍😊. BTW did you see ghosts of Henry VIII 's wives? 😁
Thanks Germaine! And no, I didn't see any ghosts whilst I was there.
They do apparently make an appearance at times.
Very enjoyable. One of the most interesting travel videos out there. Thank you.
Thanks very much, I appreciate you comments.
I enjoy these videos as well bro
Thank you very much!
Wow just got back from hampton court today its very big but what a castle so much things to do from the apartments to the kitchens to the gardens id really recommend going here
Absolutely!
Breathtaking
It really is.
I enjoyed your tour. I lived near H/C most of my life.
Thanks. It's a nice area to live around, I'd love a home around there.
I stumbled on to this as Hampton Court is definitely worth visiting. I live in the USA and have had the pleasure of visiting several times. However, I found this presentation somewhat confusing. You started with Tudor era and then jumped to the Georgian period of William. FYI...HenryVlll never sat in the Georgian area as he had been dead for a couple 100 years at this point. I think you should have stayed with the Tudor period. Certainly parts of Henry Vlll apartments are no longer there. But, there is still much to enjoy from that era. I felt missing was the history to the "Haunted Hallway". a huge visitor attraction. Katherine Howard the fifth queen , ran screaming down the hallway which connects to the Chapel Royal..where Henry at the time was praying. Katherine ran for her life and wished for forgiveness, but was blocked by Henry's guards. Obviously, he had no mercy for her and she was beheaded months later. The hallway is said to be haunted and many have heard Katherine"s screams, some have fainted and more. Also, after beheading Anne Boleyn, Henry wanted all trace of her erased. Interesting, that her initials AB are still visible in the entranceway ceiling. After investigating anything Tudor, then it would be appropriate to look at the glories of the Georgian Age. Also worth mentioning is the fact that Cardinal Wolsey actually built and owned the Palace, but Henry was quite jealous and the Cardinal gracefully turned over ownership to Henry
Well, that's how the palace is laid out ... and this video isn't meant to be a history lesson.
It's a travel guide as to what you'd expect to see if you went to Hampton Court Palace.
Actually going to the place is the history lesson.
@@UltimateBucketList As I mentioned, I have been multiple times and having done so, I thought it confusing. To anyone else, perhaps not Haunted Hallway though , history lesson or not is quite important to Hampton Court and would generate interest in my opinion. But, after all it is just an opinion for whatever it's worth
I saw so much in your tour that I did not see when I visited. I need to go back and visit!
You should, it's worth another trip just to see some of these things again :)
Hampton Court was a highlight of my trip to London in 2019!

It's definitely a fun historical thing to do when you visit London. A lot of tourists don't come here because it's a bit out of the way from the other Royal Palaces, but it's totally worth it!
@@UltimateBucketList yes we were in London last year and did all the local stuff this time in May/June this year we are doing stuff out of the ordinary.
@@briansymes2936 absolutely! If you're travelling a bit further afield, Hampton Court Palace, Windsor Castle and The Harry Potter Studio Tour comes highly recommended.
@@UltimateBucketList yes we actually changed our plans last year for Harry Potter studio after watching your video on it…. You sold it perfectly and we absolutely loved it. It was our last major attraction before flying home to Australia the next day. We love your videos mate you do a crackin job 👍

I'm super happy for you, and I hope you have an amazing time here at Hampton Court Palace. Keep an eye out on my channel for more bucket list ideas! 😉
How long did you take to tour?
You can do this in about 2 hours, but you can stay as long as you like.
It will take us all day, cause we love history, museums and gardens. We can't wait to visit.
You missed the haunted hallway before the chapel Royale, where Katherine Howard ran screaming to Henry the VIII. The portraits of Henry and each of his 6 queens.
Didn't really miss them ... and the portraits were shown in various parts of the video.
It’s pretty cute to say... this is definitely one of the nicest palaces.... I’ve ever seen......
It’s only one of the biggest and grandest in the world. :). Good videos.
There are plenty that are bigger, but it's still a very nice palace.
Thanks!
Nicely done. I have been to the palace & would like to go back, perhaps at Christmas time. So much history wrapped up in one place. Cardinal Wolsey saved himself by giving Henry the palace. (Short term). One can all most envision Henry looking down wondering who all the people are tramping thru his home. I was able to see one of the grace & favor apartments. Not grand at all. Looking forward to the next visit.
Yeah apparently they host a bunch of fun events during Christmas time here at Hampton Court Palace.
Definitely worth going back!
best video !!
Wow, thanks!
When I lived and worked in London in the early 1990’s I visited Hampton Court and believe I might have seen a ghost there. I was wandering around and was in an inner courtyard area and saw a tall women dressed in a fine Tudor dress they were also carrying a very small monkey with a gold chain around its neck .They passed within about 10 feet of me . I assumed it was just some historical reenactment. Later on in the Kitchen they had a demonstration of cooking in Tudor times and I mentioned how great and authentic the lady dressed in Tudor clothes looked. I got a puzzled look and they said there was no reenactment that day other then in the kitchen also they would never allow a monkey to be used in this way for a reenactment. So perhaps someone just decided to attend dressed in fine and expensive looking clothes with a monkey which my rational scientific mind tells me must be true , but then again that seems even more far fetched then it actually being a ghost!
costume looked.
Cool story! I enjoy hearing about stuff like that!
I think you're right ... a ghost is more likely than a tudor lady with a small monkey!
Your videos are brilliant keep it up I watch you all the time could you do League One stadiums next on your bucket list like Plough Lane Prenton Park and the macron Stadium
Thanks. Although the lower the league the more unlikely it is I'm going to go there.
Have you seen the photo of the ghost of 'The Grey Lady', and the video of the ghost closing the doors? They both took place at Hampton Palace
Oh really, I didn't know that?! Must look that up.
I did ask Emma if the place was haunted and she didn't suggest so.
Yes you are back ack! Its been a while since i was at your channel
