There are 2 train stations in Windsor, the one shown is from London Paddington via Slough. Depending on how fast the train between Paddington and Slough, 15mins, 30 mins or 50mins and then 10mins from Slough to Windsor. The Windsor and Eton Riverside station train comes from London Waterloo, takes 50mins but no changes. The stations were built by different railway companies competing for Queen Victoria's patronage and the Windsor Central Station (or the Royal Station as you called it), won the race!
Loved your tour , just wish it could have been longer. I live in the United states of America and will never get to visit this wonderful place. So thank you for giving me a glimpse of these wonderful places.
I have a love of British Royal history as well as British history. My heritage comes from the British Isles. To see Windsor Castle would be fun to visit. Putting it on my bucket list
Coming across the plaque over Henry the Eighths' tomb was completely unexpected for me. I had no idea he was buried there. It was probably the highlight of all of my travelling.
Fantastic video...definitely a great place to visit. When I visited they did not have the audio tours which would be great to follow. It is a shame that the damn COVID restricts so many sections of the tour.
Yes, that's true! COVID restricted quite a bit of the tour (namely the Round Tower, which you can go up and see the most majestic view over Windsor). But definitely worth going back when things are normal again.
Wow! This is so mesmerizing, so magical and it is like you are in Metaverse. It's just so gloriously heavenly to behold. Thank you ever so much for sharing this. At the end of the 3 mile walk is a statue of King George III pointing to Windsor Castle, known as The Copper Horse. From there you can carry on walking into Windsor Great Park which is about 5000 acres and mostly public.
to save walking... there used to be small parking lots not so far from the copper horse, for horse riders and walkers, but they shut them recently and then made it £10 to park. Or you can drive to the Old Windsor entrance, which is still free, past elton john's house. And the White Bus can be taken, it serves the hamlets in the park
I am English but I've never been to Windsor. This video has shown bits of Windsor castle I've never seen before in television documentaries. It truly is an amazing castle with immense history, 1000 years ish. I would have loved to have visited here but I won't nowadays unfortunately. I really enjoyed this, thanks for posting. Also, you have a very pleasing voice in the narration.
I appreciate your kind words on my narration and this video! Sorry to hear that you won't be visiting this place yourself, so I'm glad you could live vicariously through me to do it!
Your video is one of the best of its kind that I've seen. Every aspect, narration, photography, humor etc, is a TEN out of ten. We've been to the castle two or three times over the years but watching this makes me want to visit again when we can travel safely again. Thanks for a wonderful tour of a wonderful place.
This is the 1st of your videos I've viewed and I have to say I'm mightily impressed! You have just the right level of professionalism and humour, and the background score is not intrusive. There is an anecdote which has done the rounds for a few years, related by a tour guide who was regularly asked by tourists why the castle was built so close to the airport, hahaha. Anywho, well done on a great tour around a most iconic building. And now it is the final resting place of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Thank you! Your comments are so nice and it gives me more motivation to make more content like this. RIP Prince Philip - a proud servant of this country.

Yes, me too also seeing King George V1 and Queen Elizabeth's resting place with Princess Margaret's headstone resting there. It is a very special Castle
Thank you so much for the tour, I'm not sure if you did a second video, I was looking forward to seeing, her Majesty Crown Jewels at the Tower of London where they are kept.. I believe tours for the jewels at that location are done as well. The areas allowed to be photographed, I would liked to have known, but it's okay sir. I do understand their concerns, with video tapping, they had throughout history a couple of robberies. So the breach of their security system, and the Queen's safety is quite important Your video did not disappoint, the areas showed inside the castle were quite breathtakingly spectacular and magnificent sir.. My jaw never closed. Thank you again sir.
So it's back to my normal travels - showing the world what fun things there are to do before they die (not just walking around football stadiums). Let me know what you want to see!
This is most definitely on my bucket list facts 💯 granny I wanna follow your lead rest in piece i love you now you have the queen to catch up with ....
As a half Englishman, it gives me pride and joy of my ancestry. I was born and raised in India but I consider myself an Anglophile American. I live in the United States and mesmerised bye its beauty. As an American, enjoy the culture of England and love the Yorkshire pudding.
This brings back such great memories for me. I visited here in 2006 and the procedure to get in and out and the route was a little different then. I remember we lined up outside on a terrace and you could look through the trees to the chapel at Eton College. We entered and the first thing we saw was a temporary exhibit on the Castle's collection of Rembrandt sketches, then we went directly to see Queen Mary's dollhouse - OK, I'm a girl - I enjoy this kind of thing - but I think anyone would enjoy seeing it, for all the detail put into it. There will never be another like it! My favorite room in the castle was the Garter Throne Room - the beautiful blue carpets and the portraits of the Queen, and her parents and grandparents - I just could have stayed in there forever. We were in a hurry so I didn't get to spend as much time at St. George's Chapel as I would have liked, but it was very touching to see where King George VI, the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret are all buried. My dream would be to see the burial grounds at Frogmore, where Queen Victoria and Prince Albert are buried, along with the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and other royals. It normally is only open for a few days each summer, but I understand that it's currently going through some needed preservation work, so it's closed to the public for the forseeable future. I loved everything about this video and my time in Windsor. Thanks for the great video!
Windsor Castle was definitely one of the nicer Royal residences I've been to, and I'm glad this video brought back some fond memories. This summer - I'll be taking one of the rare tours they allow around Buckingham Palace itself. I'll have a hard time trying to record it (photography and videography is strictly not allowed), but I'm sure I'll find a way. I'm sure if you've subscribed, you'll get a notification when it's up! :)
The Red door at 5:38 is the historic Gilebertus Door which along with the chapel's eastern wall and Galilee Porch were part of Henry III's original chapel built in the mid 1200's.. That door was the entrance to the old chapel. Today it is a short cut entry to the quire of the present chapel and used by clergy and royal family members.
Mate great video absolutely loved it personally I think you keep on doing the videos you love and all the London ones are really good but I love stadiums but you have done a lot! Keep up the good work
I guess since I am binging on British history of late, you tube recommended this video. I would be a traveler, but we live on a farm, so it may never happen that I make it to England. I very much enjoyed your video both the visual and auditory, so I subscribed. Thank you for your fine work.
Thanks Lisa. Hopefully one day you'll make it to our shores and experience England for real. But in the meantime, check out my other videos - there's plenty to see and do here.
Great vid! Thanks for sharing! This way we were able to relive our visit (photography or filming was strictly forbidden in both Saint George's Chapel and the State Residences when we visited them just now)
9:42 Peascod Street is the high street of Windsor. I love this town. So many happy memories over the years. There is two shopping centres, one of which is made from a converted railway station.
@@UltimateBucketList The railway station centre was my mother's favourite. Old fashioned, she liked. The King Edward Court centre was your just regular centre. I prefer Peascod Street.
7:44 - I loved walking in this part, this is not the State Dining Room, it is called St George's Hall and was totally destroyed during the 1992 fire which ripped right through it. Only the walls was left in tact. Totally restored by 1997, and looks much better than pre 1992, with a much better ceiling added compared to the pre 1992 one.
@@UltimateBucketList The pre 1992 ceiling was much flatter and plainer, in very dark wood. It actually was built to cover the higher portions and when the fire happened, it found the gap between them, and travelled right through the roof space, which led to the destruction of the hall. There was also an underfloor coal link, which also provided the fire access to the hall.
Hi , great video ... Windsor Castle looks massive. Definitely worth a trip to this wonderful Castle. Any restrictions on a 26 mth old toddler?. Cheers ..
I have visited Windsor in the early 90s from yks . I loved it lovely little town and the Castle jus amazing have always wanted to visit again after the fire it looks spectacular. We did. Go in the chapel as well . I loved it it’s all very wonderful .🥰🥰🥰😊😊😊😊😊😊

@@UltimateBucketList Perfect word for it! .....I mean, I get it, this *has* become a crazy world....but ...sigh My first trip to London was in June of 1988. We went in to Westminster Cathedral and wandered. Their was no organized path, you got a guide book if you wanted and visited tge places you wanted in whatever order you wanted. I know we walked up close to see Edward the Confessor, the Coronation Chair (and stonell) was easily easily visible - with all its schoolboy carvings... lol Most importantly, for me, the process humanized/kept alive the history - I remember how in awe I was 😎😎😎

I visited this castle few years ago, it's trully AMAZING ! It remember me a lot of things :') Thanks for the video :D
@UCHMVJvXh_HqAwJo9Fo7BSYQ yep i saw them...... all of them 😁😁
Yes, I agree!
Yes I did make a video about the Tower of London right here: ua-cam.com/video/4_J0N_hs8Ak/v-deo.html&ab_channel=UltimateBucketList
So it's back to my normal travels - showing the world what fun things there are to do before they die (not just walking around football stadiums).
Let me know what you want to see!
Love you’re videos mate class
@THE REAL DEAL - thanks man!
Would Love to see Petra in Jordan :)
This is most definitely on my bucket list facts 💯 granny I wanna follow your lead rest in piece i love you now you have the queen to catch up with ....
Yes, it's worth visiting! When you arrive, the Queen will be buried in St Georges Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle, so you'll get to visit her!
I'm trying to picture cleaning just one of those ornate rooms. It must keep an army of cleaners working!
Yes, it' probably does!
Did this tour in 2018. Lovely!
Indeed!
Wonderful tour! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love your videos and commentary, I am English living Texas and will return for one last visit to old Blighty in 2025.
Ah amazing! I hope you get to visit some of the things and places that you've never been to, especially if it's your last visit.
As a half Englishman, it gives me pride and joy of my ancestry. I was born and raised in India but I consider myself an Anglophile American. I live in the United States and mesmerised bye its beauty. As an American, enjoy the culture of England and love the Yorkshire pudding.
It's a nice place to visit, so if you do get to go one day, it's worth the trip!
Thankyou for the views and commentary. Beautiful castle I can't wait to go in 2022.
My pleasure ... hope you have a fun time here!
Mate whenever I see a notification that you have posted It just makes my day 😂👍
Glad to hear it - thanks!
@@UltimateBucketList Can't wait!
Love the English Perpendicular vaulting in the chappel.
Yes
The Red door at 5:38 is the historic Gilebertus Door which along with the chapel's eastern wall and Galilee Porch were part of Henry III's original chapel built in the mid 1200's.. That door was the entrance to the old chapel. Today it is a short cut entry to the quire of the present chapel and used by clergy and royal family members.
Yes, that's correct!
I hope to visit these beautiful creations and to see the royal highness 😍😍
One day you will!
Wish I could visit a palace one day I really admired the place in your vlog i believe this is much more amazing in person
It really is amazing in person! Definitely worth visiting once in your life!
Another great video mate keep them coming 😊
Thanks, will do!
So amazing clip. Thanks for your recording this palace’s tour video.
You're welcome! Be sure to check out my channel for more like this :)
Been there in 2014. Especially liked the Waterloo hall
It's awesome, definitely!

Thanks Lisa, glad you like my video.

Mate great video absolutely loved it personally I think you keep on doing the videos you love and all the London ones are really good but I love stadiums but you have done a lot! Keep up the good work
Thanks! Will do!
I would love someday to visit England, although I’m sure I never will get there, thank you for sharing your visit on you tube! Enjoyed it very much!
Thanks Robin. You never know, with travel opening up and low cost airlines still in business over here - it's definitely possible.
Lovely video... thanks. Remember my visit there a few summers ago
Glad you enjoyed it
I highly recommend this video? about Windsor Castle and visiting the UK for the first time
Thank you very much!
Ninh i love your contents, keep up the good work and thanks for entertaining us during this pandemic
My pleasure!
An Edinburgh travel guide maybe? Or Dublin, London, Belfast or Cardiff? Another great video by the way 👍
Absolutely! And thanks!
Great vid! Thanks for sharing! This way we were able to relive our visit (photography or filming was strictly forbidden in both Saint George's Chapel and the State Residences when we visited them just now)
Oh wow, they must have gotten a bit stricter?
I know there were various parts that you couldn't film, but largely you could.
Times change sadly.
Piękny zamek ,mam nadzieję ,że kiedyś tam się znajdę i poczuję się po królewsku :)
9:42 Peascod Street is the high street of Windsor. I love this town. So many happy memories over the years. There is two shopping centres, one of which is made from a converted railway station.
Yeah, I think I passed it on the way into Windsor Castle.
The shopping centres were okay, but nothing to shout home about.
@@UltimateBucketList The railway station centre was my mother's favourite. Old fashioned, she liked. The King Edward Court centre was your just regular centre. I prefer Peascod Street.
Mate Ur channel is so underated I love Ur filming the places the stadiums etc also Ur voice over , great job mate keep up the good work 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks, I appreciate that.
I could do with more views and subscribers, but they'll come once we're not all in lockdown I guess?!
Amazing fantastic I love England I live in Windsor beautiful my favorite place ❤️❤️
Windsor is very lovely, yes!
Although I live in Spain I love Windsor castle and the town
Yes, it's a lovely place to visit. Even the town is quaint and pretty!
Apparently so, yes.
The queen is livin life dude
She certainly is!
@@UltimateBucketList must be good
excellent video very professionally executed, and explanation and voice! bravo
Thank you very much!
Wow, fantastic!
Thanks!
Utterly magnificent castle, souranding green planting tree.
It really is!
Hi , great video ... Windsor Castle looks massive. Definitely worth a trip to this wonderful Castle. Any restrictions on a 26 mth old toddler?.
Cheers ..
I think you'll be fine bringing toddlers into the castle. And thanks!
I would love to visit and Windsor. It would be great to see.
Maybe one day, you will!
great video again. i think it would be cool if you went back to the san siro and try and experience it yourself.
I'll consider it - hopefully they'll actually be open this time.
Amazing how beautiful it is after the fire.
It is, yes.
You should do the tower of London or the London dungeons or St Paul's cathedral
For sure!
Watched this video multiple times, and even fwd to a bunch of people. Keep up the great content. 🍺
Thank you so much, I appreciate you sharing my videos.
Cheers! :) 🍺
Спасибо за экскурсию!Было очень интересно и познавательно!
Большое спасибо, я рад, что вам понравилось это видео! 😀
Very informative documentary about Windsor, thank you for sharing this with us
Anytime, glad you like this video :)
If you can't take video, how come you did? Thanks for showing us around Windsor castle.
Because I'm good at taking stealthy videos, given that I do that for a living. And thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it - it's a wonderful castle and full of such history and charm.
If you like this kind of thing ... check out my latest video on Kensington Palace and I'll be releasing my video on Hampton Court Palace this Friday.
Thanks for the video :) unfortunately I'll only ever see a castle on youtube
One day you might visit here?
And thanks!
Really enjoyed this! Thanks!
I visited Windsor and Eton in June 2000 --- pre 9/11, so it was a lot easier to get around and see things
😎😎😎
Yeah, I agree. Sometimes the security measures they implement these days are a little draconian.
@@UltimateBucketList
Perfect word for it!
.....I mean, I get it, this *has* become a crazy world....but ...sigh
My first trip to London was in June of 1988. We went in to Westminster Cathedral and wandered. Their was no organized path, you got a guide book if you wanted and visited tge places you wanted in whatever order you wanted. I know we walked up close to see Edward the Confessor, the Coronation Chair (and stonell) was easily easily visible - with all its schoolboy carvings... lol
Most importantly, for me, the process humanized/kept alive the history - I remember how in awe I was
😎😎😎
I really enjoyed this video and your commentary! Recently I did my DNA & genealogy and 97% of my DNA is traced back to the UK so all of it interests me now, (although I have always loved HM the Queen.)
Excellent, thank you very much!
It's surprising, but quite a few people have English roots.

Can you do an Edinburgh Castle tour? I’ve never been but would love to see inside
As an Edinburgh resident I can say it's good, but if Ninh was hoping to go to a Scottish castle it's got to be Stirling or Duart.
Absolutely!
This is a very wholesome video. Love it!
Thanks very much! If you like this video on Windsor Castle, be sure to check out my other Royal Palace videos (Buckingham Palace etc.)
No wonder the Queen spent her covid isolation at Windsor for the whole time.
It's not a bad place to spend isolation!
Awesome video. Meaningful because my Mom's Dad was a guard 💂♂️ at the Windsor castle 🏰 and the Queen herself patted my Mom on the head when she was a small child before the family moved to Canada 🇨🇦.
Cool story! If you ever get a chance to visit yourself, it comes highly recommended :)
Ive only just seen it bc this video for some reason didn’t show up in my sub box but idk why! Still loved the video bro! Keep up good work
Appreciate it!!
Great castle tour you got there, thank you very much for sharing
Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed this tour of Windsor Castle.

I was planning a trip during summer 2021 for my retirement trip, sigh. Hopefully by 2022 and Windsor will be our first stop. How do you sneak film without getting busted, LOL? Great video.
Hopefully you'll make it here and everything will return to normal.
How do I sneak film? Very stealthily!
And thanks!
I can't wait to get to England and Scotland. Go away, Covid.
Thank you for your information about Winstor Castles
