I refuse to let placenames in my clothing dictate where I wear them. "I don't care if you want to stay in the house, shoes, sometimes I'm going to wear you grocery shopping." I had a guy tell me once when I wore a bath robe to do a show that he wasn't really paying attention to the music until he saw I was rapping in a bath robe and then he came to watch because he knew it was something for him. I think that is called "niche-marketing"? Not losing any fans here! I never think of that "contrast" element in the front to back but will try it out. Thanks!
For me, it seems like you balance to serve the song, then mix to reconcile the sounds to the space implied by your balance choices and with consideration to the 'scale' of each sound.
Great video as always, cheers! I'm constantly looking for educational videos around yt.. but i'm always coming back here.. seriously you have some of the deeper, best-explained content (and you speak fast and fluently, wich i love).... thank you so so much. ... p.s.: i've just realized i watched this video 9 minutes after released... i feel so nerd lol..
I have learned so much from you. Forever thankful 🙏. You giving out knowledge no one else does and easy to understand too.
This is excellent - one of the most lucid and practical explanations of ‘front to back’

Can you share tips to incorporate the sound of a bath robe into a mix?
It's all about having a vision and following through
You're makin' me lose my sight 😮
What a video!
This judge will be powerless😂
I've done a lot of vocal and guitar recording in a bathrobe and they keep you warm! recordings not so much.
Until you said "bathrobe" I was thinking faux fur coat. LOL
it's my luxurious not-fur robe
Great stuff thanks very much for this video
