When connected the xreal air 2 to the ally I do not see any images it in the glasses. I did see the media player popup in the ally but again nothing on glasses.
Bro just answer my one question it will help slot Can dog ally directly use xreal air as a monitor without the use of the beam. Like directly plugging xreal to rog ally via type c for direct output.??
yes, certainly. The idea of using the adapter was to be able to plug the adapter but the usb-c port of the rog ally is perfectly capable of allowing the xreal air to be used as a monitor without the beam. Remember that the beam is just to add extra features as: smooth follow, anchor and others. Using the rog ally + xreal air on its own might consume battery faster, that's the only disadvantage.
I'm using the "VITURE USB-C to Glasses and Charging Adapter", you can find it in Amazon here: amzn.eu/d/hKdxKGt . I think Xreal has recently launched an equivalent but I haven't seen it officially anywhere yet
It's a personal decision depending on your use case and personal circumstances. There's also the beam pro. I found them both ok for watching movies as portable private movie player. More often than not I found myself using the Rog ally without the beam as I can tolerate the screen moving when I move my head but if you prefer something more stable like anchor mode the beam might help.
that could work but be aware that when using the Rog ally OG it might need power/battery that can affect how long you can be playing while using it. Also the only benefit I saw was anchor mode. As for movies, it's ok. Also bear in mind that the beam has a fan that might make some noise when in use. It's not as bad as the viture neckband but noise nonetheless. Also remember the beam is not very powerful either. Thanks for sharing your experience here 😎

You recommend buying beam?

@FTACatch-up thank you. Beam pro is not for me. Cause its wireless. My internet here in my country sucks.
@FTACatch-up my plan is only to use it for gaming for my rog ally , pc and watching some netflix or movies on the go.
