My father was a member of the Army Marksmanship Unit , a lifelong hunter and my first firearm trainer......I definitely had an advantage when I started shooting at 8yrs old .....back around 1978.....
Thank You Sir! What a great pistol! It must be rare to find MEUSOC pistols. I found a stainless Remington 1911 at a local pawn (so nice)! I definitely handled it, figuring it would not last.
I modeled my SA 1911 milspec after the early model MEUSOC 45s. I'm a bigger fan of the retro commander hammer. Glad there is finally a good video on this 1911 variant (Best one in my opinion).
I'm fascinated by these old-school 1911 variants that our military used at various points in its history. I have the parts list for the MEUSOC, and at some point I'll look to build a clone. Now I need to look up the parts list for the Army pistol. XD
My dad was 21 year Army and Vietnam vet (purple heart). He was also on the pistol team for a while. With that old war horse, it would have been shot one handed with your off hand in the small of your back and body bladed to the target. Great seeing one again.
I know this was about the pistol, but cant help still admiring the rifle to the bottom right. Piece of art.
Thanks TTiger. Also did a full review and comparison between the 6mm and the 6.5 Creedmoor. Video to be released in the next few days.
Great, bought a mossberg XDM LC in 6.5, first 6.5 I did, love the cartridge so far. Excited to see the review.
Nice! Two beautiful 45s. It's my favorite round especially in a 1911. Glad you shared them with us. Great video as always
Absolutely Bad ass 1911 , X-Ring !!!!!!!!! I would love to have one of those in my collection. Thanks for showing it , X-Ring !!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing piece of history
The pinging effect helps to stress relieve too, on the wet tumbling

W🔫w! I can’t wait to see all your toys. Thank you, sir!
Nice pistols and great shooting guys. A lot of history behind those pistols.
Nice classics for sure!

Cool pistols as good history as I did not know....Good stuff....
Ray , I believe you could even "tack drive" with a slingshot lol.. awesome marksmanship
Thanks LL. I do try.
Those are two awesome pistols, hard to go wrong with either. However, if I was choosing I'd have to go with the MEUSOC.

Nice video buddy!
Very Nice! Carry on
Nice content you just got a new subscriber
Nice video man
You can keep the arch I prefer the flat main spring , and I like the pac grip panels for my use and have used them for years
Old school for sure! Got any other 1911’s ?
Why was there restrictions on what frames they could use?
A MEUSOC .45 that's awesome. I was in the Marines from 02 to 07, if you ever want to donate it to a Marine Veteran I would gladly accept it. Lol

😁👍
1:33 Wow, I thought that only airsoft guns have such huge gaps between frame and slide that you can see the outline of the recoil spring.
me too
Old military guns are the best cause of the great history they created through the years
🇺🇸
Well worn in steel guns look great. People will pay good money for a new well worn look like Nighthawk offers.
C'mon, where do you get that stuff. Not jealous at all
Doesn't matter the weapon, he shoots he scores
There isn't much information on that meusoc. Do a table top review 👍
AI .. still 6mm by the look ..
