Pure magic. We have the pleasure of knowing this family and hearing the bit about Roly and his passion for this with his Dad is golden. Roly will show this clip to his kids and Grandkids in the decades to come. I'd be stunned if half a dozen fishing gear manufacturers and retailers aren't clamouring for Sam to trial and demo their gear online after this video. Entertaining, informative and inspiring. Hats off and bravo to Sam and the young fishing star Roly G!!!
I've been fishing offshore with plastics for snapper just this winter around the port Stephens general area. I was lucky enough to catch a few 70s but my biggest in 20m water on a TD Black 10lb braid 20lb on a 5" paddletail was 91cm at 9.17kg.
Top vid and spot with the advice , nothing beats a 90s on the plastics gear . Cracked the code twice last year a 98 and a 96 just sitting in the rod holder letting em waft down . Very addictive chasing reds
Now that’s a fucking fishing vid loved it makes me want to fish more then I already do what pound braid and Leader where you using the biggest snapper I’ve caught was 87cm 35:28 on a pink 5inch bait junky grub on my morethen 3500 with 30 pound braid and 50 pound leader matched up with the Td black slugger best combo ever and a fight I will never forget absolutely love fishing looks like you have I same passion I do it only takes one fish and your hooked for life

That tense silence once a fish is hooked is unreal
Staying focused on the fight and forgetting there's a camera behind you 😂

Nothing hits like that feeling of getting smoked by a snapper!
AWESOME !!!
should you cast in direction of the wind?
should the jighead go away from the boat or close to the boat?
Cast with the wind, it will go a lot further. I normally cast downstream of the boat and let it sink as the boat drifts over it.
Fun fact……South of Grafton it’s the Tasman Sea, North it’s the Coral Sea…..the Pacific doesn’t start to about inline with New Caledonia.
Nice snapper fıshing.. Could u help me to find that daiwa soft plastic lures?
What gear were u using, reel rod & line
23 TD HYPER 762MHFS

With the 5inch plastics
Depends on how deep you're fishing/current. But generally for the 5" Bait Junkie Jerkshad 1/4oz 5/0
@@DaiwaAustralia nice thx
Size reel?
23 KIX 4000D-C
What’s that jacket he is wearing
Daiwa Goretex. Available at independent fishing stores, if they don’t have them they can get them.
Who heavy is the leader ? 20lb is enough? 😊
25lb Saltiga Fluoro is the leader being used in this clip man, 20 is a bit light for me, 30 is heavy and 40 is my max. The 25 is spot on!
Fish learn good excuse 😂 next video
Isn’t it vids like this that also add pressure to the fish sticks ?
