her agency tried to defend her but netizens and tabloids were just brutal.
YG himself posted a statement defending Park Bom explicity.
He said that 2NE1 girls were so well behaved, they don’t even like going to clubs (not like Big Bang).
He explained that Park Bom was prescribed in the US with that specific medical drug and she needs it for her mental health
He also told the story of Park Bom being a soccer athlete before she was a trainee. But then her close teammate died unexpectedly and that event gave her severe depression. She was serious about soccer and was even aiming to being a professional soccer player, but after her teammate’s death, she lost that dream. She lost purpose and direction with her life. Until she became a YG trainee, she finally found another purpose in her life through music.
And it’s sad that the medication she needs to get better is being used to take away her music, her career.

I saw Yoo Ah In first in the drama "chicago Typewriter" and I was flabbergasted the way he looked and I always thought that he is so different from all the korean actors I know, also, the thing that you mentioned that he is very versatile with his roles, I loved that that he doesn't do the 'same roles' again and again. When this news came out that he is been arrested for dr*g use, I was like 'tf?' Then I got to know the whole thing how one guy throws coffee at him. I didn't know what to think of him but there was this soft spot for him in me that was like, "there are people in the korean industry who have legit done way more crazy sh!t than this. For example, there is this old man in the industry who was accused of forcing himself on a minor I think but he still did made a comeback and acts. Kris Wu, I know he's in jail but there are still fans supporting him, seungri, he's in jail too but 3 years is too less for someone like him and all the guys in the burning sun scandal who were literally worse than him whose identity is not even known yet.
Idk why they are bashing Yoo Ah In that much when it's like not so petty crime. I actually think he needs help. You never know what a person is going through until you really know them and that might be the case with yoo ah in. If knetz think doing dr*ugs is such a heinous crime, please do not be biased with other crimes too, bash them off too, do not be biased.

I dont understand multiple things about this case:
    1. He did it LEGALLY in another country why does it matter in SK?
    2. Why are people so mad for something that doesnt affect them personally??
    3. Where is THIS ENERGY for that poor girl who got a roundhouse kick in the head, with VIDEO EVIDENCE, got sexually assaulted and they only gave him what 10-12 years???
Like i really dont get it.

It’s illegal for Korean citizens to use drugs abroad even when it is legal in that specific country.
There is always backlash against crimes in Korea, but you would only know that if you watched Korean news. Not everything is in English.

Rehabilitation is what he should get.
There are centers related to the government for these kind of cases, I did an internship in one.
It's like being rehabilitated in a prison, but what's amazing is that it's a home kind of setting, it's like a huge home but with tighter security, housing people with different cases of addiction.
So they are taken care of, there are people listening to them, helping them get better while being watched for their and the medical practitioners' safety.
Song Hyekyo really got me love her more when I've read about the issue months ago.
    Their friendship is amazing.

Doing drugs is never right. BUT it's nowhere near a status of serial killer or sexual abuser, and knetz are treating him even worse. I've always believed that the person doing drugs is himself a victim, coz cmon ain't no one that dumb to knowingly shorten their lifespan. These victims need help not jail. The people who supply these drugs are the real perpetrators and need to be punished to ruin so many lives.

I loveee Yoo Ah In. He definitely stands out in every Kdrama he's in, where most of the actors/actresses feel too manufactured. I only loved him as an actor and would often watch a project just because I saw him on it, but I fell head over heels when I first saw him on Running Man just enjoying himself. When you watch him, he has the grace and aura of a celebrity even while he's being humble. He has the charisma which the only other artist I could think of to have the same charisma is G-Dragon. He does NOT deserve such treatment and those haters are being hypocrites. Where were they when a bunch of celebrities got caught for much worse crimes that ACTUALLY harm others?? Those other celebrities who taught the young generation that "you can get away with this as long as you follow the toxic masculinity standard of Korean society"???
