UPDATE: It's a shame that Amazon lowered their commission rates on 4/14/2020 but it's not altering any of my strategies. Many UA-camr's are catching the trend by making videos about it saying things that encourage sharing (making the video go viral). I personally don't think it's a big deal for a few reasons, mainly because Amazon conversions are so high, and it's easy to swap out links to different affiliate programs win a few clicks. I hope that helps shed some rational advice on it from someone heavily involved :)

Amazon Associates just dropped it's affiliate commissions by up to 80% on April 21, right in the middle of the pandemic. Good timing Amazon, just when your loyal affiliates who have worked hard to send you traffic need you most.
Agreed... I dont think they made a good judgement call just now. Their stock is up roughly 8% when the entire market is down about 18%. They are excelling as a company right now and by making this cut, it will be increasing their bottom line even further. The good news is that a lot of people are not happy with this so I dont imagine they will stay low for very long.
Number 5 is indeed the best one. I have also thought about it. The fact that you can use the intelligence of the one of the biggest companies in the world in your advantage... WOW!!!

Hello Greg, I started affiliate marketing and online entrepreneurship two years back. But it didn't workout as expected. It's getting difficult to build something for my own, when each one around me is job minded person, including family members. I did traditional IT job before , but left it. Huge pressure comes in reality when you stay around job minded people who just think doing job is the establishment. But they never think or bother about creating their own source of income. All relatives do job and are so called established in society's eyes, except me who is still struggling to set up own business. How to handle the pressure ?

My best recommendation is to work really hard and wait until your results speak for themselves. I've seen a pattern of people being negative towards online business until you start making more than they do at their job (then all of a sudden the dynamic changes to them wanting to know what you are doing because they feel they are missing out). For who don't know, you don't need a website to have an Amazon affiliate account.. You can advertise on any social media platform.. You just need to add all the pages and groups that you post on so that you will get the comission and u shouldn't just share the links any where as this might cause your account closure eventually! You can add the pages and group links through the website box, insted of the website link, when you are creating your amazon affiliate account.. I tried this my self and got the sales comission the next day! Just don't give bc it's a really waste if u did.. Hope this helps 😊

I don't know how effective Amazon Affiliate Program is, since more people start using VPN. More people conceal themselves from big IT companies like Google or Amazon so that these companies can't track what websites they visit. It makes sense if users buy something as soon as they click affiliate links. I don't know how 24 hr tracking system works.
how would you compare Amazon with ClickBank? Would you say Amazon is a better, safer one? ClickBank has very high comissions but also bad reputation for bad quality...from what I hear. Great question! You can have multiple sites on the same Amazon account 👍 they can be separated by affiliate ID. I believe it's the profile button (or email) in the top right, then manage ID's then add ID.

If someone clicks my affiliate link, then clicks someone else's affiliate link, does that over write my 24 hour cookie? Great question Mike! Different affiliate programs use different policies, however Amazon is "last click" meaning the last link clicked gets the commission. We only et credit if they click our link, add to cart, and checkout within 24 hours (sounds like not a lot of time, but it proves to be plenty). I hope that helps!
Great question! Yes and No. Yes you can make more commission form a single customer but No because many of these types of affiliate offers are not good products. I recommend creating great content about known products. The great content will continue bringing in new people :)
Yes, technically I think you can but you will need to meet their 90 day requirements after signup of having a functioning site with 10 new pieces of content. I hope that helps!

Great questions! Yes, those "secondary" sales count towards your 3 qualified sales. Also, you only need 3 sales in the first 180 days, not every 180 days. I hope that helps!

If someone clicks my affiliate link, then clicks someone else's affiliate link, does that over write my 24 hour cookie?
If someone adds to their cart after clicking my link, but doesn't check out right away, will I get credit for the sale no matter how long they take, or if they add other items to cart from other affiliate links?

Great question Mike! Different affiliate programs use different policies, however Amazon is "last click" meaning the last link clicked gets the commission. We only et credit if they click our link, add to cart, and checkout within 24 hours (sounds like not a lot of time, but it proves to be plenty). I hope that helps!

Great question! Yes and No. Yes you can make more commission form a single customer but No because many of these types of affiliate offers are not good products. I recommend creating great content about known products. The great content will continue bringing in new people :)

Yes, technically I think you can but you will need to meet their 90 day requirements after signup of having a functioning site with 10 new pieces of content. I hope that helps!

Great questions! Yes, those "secondary" sales count towards your 3 qualified sales. Also, you only need 3 sales in the first 180 days, not every 180 days. I hope that helps!
