My dad is from Park Falls and my mom Springstead WI I was was raised hearing of Muskies One day I stopped at the musky shop and grabbed a bunch of goodies for my hunt in the Springstead area. I go to the checkout and my card is declined. I could not believe it I was 400 miles from home with a month in front of me of fishing with no money other than the cash in my wallet. It turns out someone hacked my credit card and they shut it down. The nice people at the Musky Shop let me call someone I knew and put it on their card. I had a new card within three days at my aunt's house and got my first 48" musky on the depth raider I had picked up that day. I love the N woods and even if most lakes have way too many houses on them, the flowage is the queen of the North with many places you can go back in time and see nothing but God's work.

Just started fishing for Muskie, I caught my first one last year of 36 inches and then caught my second last week at 40 inches. I am hooked!

I’m probably in a minority here, but I have to say it, real skin mounts done by a highly-skilled taxidermist are WAY more interesting than replicas and therefore still worth doing.

Right ! Only a skin mount is the real deal. A replica is nothing but fake !

I’ve been fortunate enough to hear some of these stories in Joe’s boat with my dad. Wow. Did this bring back some memories. Go see these fish people. Wish there was room in the Musky Shop for interactive displays. Great stuff as always.

Mr. Bucher is a straight up cool dude. Why did willow leaf bucktails fall out of favor? I would think they would be great with their slow spinning and heavy thump.

I’ve been looking for them and that specific lure (the 770 willow buck) but can’t really find that many of them

I know where you got that fish and the heavy current you speak of! Beautiful spot and I fished it! I was at the Bears Den Lodge on the lower French and after catching a 50" fish I talked to the owners who told me the story of the 3 over 50 day. Amazing is right!

Awesome, Thanks for sharing. Do you have any Great Lakes Musky mounts? With the spots. I grew up on the St. Lawrence River.

This is awesome. In the uk mounts aren’t really a thing. I wish I got the length and girth of my pb pike to get a replica mount though

Great video. Can you please either remove the music in the background or turn it down more? it's really, really distracting, especially when the purpose of the video is to listen to someone talk and tell stories.
