It doesn't get any better than this..! 👍👏 Like always, very lovely, genuine dialogs with locals.!😊 + actual fruit and vegetable prices in Türkiye + lot of english vocabulary and more... It is especially a great video for those who want to improve their english language skills .! Thank you uncle Mick Thank you Tante Trudie.! 😊🙏❤
I love the Turkish markets The prices are amazing The people are great and you can even buy good clothes for a very reasonable price.. excellent produce.
Fun video! The markets are my favorite part of living in Turkey. I made some videos on my channel showing market prices from just this past year and it’s always interesting to look back and see how much the prices go up (unfortunately). Thanks again!
Wow that was a gastronomic experience through our eyes. Great job and the fact that you converse with the vendors elevates the whole experence. When I visited Antalya, all I could do was wonder why they were selling some of the things I saw there. Amazing!
I just love the weekly markets I never missed them when I was living in Turkiye, I am welll impressed with your Turkish it's got so much better over the years..😊
Ahh you're making me so homesick Mick amca & Trudie! These Turkish farmer's markets are the best and you did a wonderful job featuring all the colorful produce as well as the eclectic cast of characters who sell them! Last summer when visiting my family in Izmir and Kusadasi, I went with my parents almost every week to these markets - as they pretty much do most of their shopping in this way. It's their happy place, lol :) But I can't believe how much the cost of everything has gone up since last summer! However, it's still a great bargain compared to the prices here in the U.S.! Also, you speak Turkish so well - which is very impressive and its also such a treat to watch your interactions with the locals in all your videos! Thank you for continuing to put a spotlight on my beautiful homeland! You have a genuine love and appreciation for Turkiye and for the Turkish people and we can all feel it. Love from NYC! 🍓🍓🍓🧿🧿🧿❤❤❤
Love your work guys , always very informative. Just to give people a comparison of how much inflation has hit Turkiye, those market prices are on par if not some dearer than our Australian prices. PS that black seed oil processed right there is gold in Australia $$
Market prices always cheaper than supermarket prices and most definitely a lot fresher. I think prices on the fall comparing it from last summer 🤔 looking forward to come back in the next few months. Once again another great video Mick amca. Keep up the great work 👍
I was in Fethiye market last time I was there in October. Quite an experience. I love pomegranates and always buy them when there. Back in Türkiye in 3 weeks😁 Thanks for another great video.
One of the best things to do while on holiday. I took so many photos of the fruit and veg stalls when I last visited. They take such price in setting out their wares. More of this please. I love your comparison vlogs.😍
I love a market! The one in Bozburun was wonderful. I found a spice mix there that I still dream about :) And in Oren, the glass of tea under an ancient olive tree after shopping will be another good memory of a market day. Enjoy!
I wonder how people living in UK feel when they see these prices? Although it probably seems very cheap to you, the prices are still expensive for people here. Imagine Turkey's economic situation...
That's right. Roughly to say: The prices might be half or one third of our prices, but the median income might be one tenth. So a "half priced" (compared to our prices, grocery has the inpact to the household as if our prices would cost three times of our current prices. But of course it really depends on the food type and the region.

I think the 'pazar' is more like a day out experience and works out to be more expensive than going to the local supermarket. Gone are the days the 'pazar' is where you get affordable fruits and vegs.
We were amazed at how lovely the Turkish people were on our 1st visit. We've been back multiple times since. Would live to be able to speak Turkish. Other than a couple of words
Amazing video as always. Everything is as fresh as they can be. Here in the west we spend triple the price for something manufactured. Can you guys do a question and answer video?
Good for tourists and expats but not for Turkish people 😢 1st May we're on the plane from Bristol to Dalaman for 2 weeks in Fethiye and the market, can't wait.
I was in Bodrum 6 weeks ago and the prices there were a lot more than the prices you showed. I think the veg and fruit prices are cheaper than the UK but the supermarket prices for meat and other provisions are the same or more than those in ALDI.
Cabbage in some parts of Australia are $20 each!! Even considering our cost of living is not as bad as Turkiye, you'd have to agree that it's not affordable.
How much is the cost of day trips from Calis please ? I went to Calis 25 years ago and a trip to Dalyan by mini bus, the boat trip to see the turtles and the tombs, the beach and lunch was £9 each. Are there any Turkish barbers left in Turkey, they all seem to be over here opening up by the week.
dont buy artichokes yet as well. wait for a month and enginar price will go down Mick. greetings from Urla :D and that flower (at the endish) is Papatya (Chamomile)
The market fruit and veg are a bargain unlike the very expensive tourist restaurants! I keep saying only eat where the Turks go and eat! Not quite found those areas in all the years I've been going! Back to Fethiye towards end of May. Wish I could live there but the residency prices keep fluctuating! Not sure how the UK pensions will work in Turkey either! I know a few people who moved to Turkey years ago and have benefited but nowadays it is a lot tougher to get to live there! From what I understand you need to have £400,000 to get a residency. Over a year ago before it all changed you only needed to own a property for £75,000 I think. There are no guarantees of stability in Turkey with the inflation having leapt to 65% some months ago. Hotel prices have doubled! It has become more expensive to visit Turkey!
Yes, you’re right. It is much more difficult to get residency now unless you’ve been living there for a few years but you can still come for three months twice a year as a tourist
@@mickandtrudie Can people who have bought places years ago but don't live there eventually get an automatic residency if they want to live there permanently? I know a few people who have places but only visit them throughout the Summer or Winter!
