    Hey Sparky! Your camp looks great 👍! If you were to put dish soap on the floor of your trailer that camp would've slid on almost by itself. I watched guys putting a house on a foundation one time and they put dish soap on the timbers the house slid on. The had to put the bucket of the excavator up to keep the house from sliding right off the foundation.

    Nice to see. Wasn't sure exactly how you were going to load. Typically, the camper is raised high enough to drive under and then lower, but I can understand how unstable that could be without the 4 corner supports. Demonstration of your ingenuity once again. (I feel better asking you to fix my tractor now that most of the camper work is behind you.)

    I design mine to come off and on the trailer quite easy. This way the trailer can be used for moving things like atv’s, snow machines, wood, supplies etc. the tiny home can also drop onto other trailers easy and be dropped on blocks if I get property. I also made mine standing height and put a 2 foot 45 on the back like an earth roamer so it’s more off-road worthy and won’t bang or drag in the back when going over uneven ground.

    Should have put the winch cable under the bar and not over it.. That might have been why the winch was struggling a little bit.. But awesome video.. And a pretty assistant.. Your a lucky man..

    • @sparkys506adventures4
      @sparkys506adventures4  2 місяці тому

      The only reason the cable was over the bar was to keep it from hitting the wire connections on the winch when I tensioned it up.The battery i was running it off was around half charged....12.3 volts when i started pulling it on .With a full charged battery it would have slid on very easily .thanks for watching

    Can’t argue with the result, but I would have used a couple broom handles as rollers instead of soapy water. With all that tension on the cable, I kept waiting for the eye bolt to evacuate the camper timber.

    • @sparkys506adventures4
      @sparkys506adventures4  2 місяці тому

      It wasn't really that much tension ...the battery ii was running the winch off of was only half charged when I started ....the rollers would have helped a lot though ....

    3 pcs of 2in Schedule 40 pvc under the skids and you could push it right on by leapfrogging the pipe.. used this method for moving 1000 lb hot tubs with ease.

    that space on the deck in front of the wheel wells is crying out for a box built there for storage or for housing the diesel heater . Also consider putting a little platform/steps that are in the back where a hinged set of stairs can flip up during travel and give a little more room on your "deck" when the trailer is deployed. Are you doing a little solar setup inside this thing?

      @@sparkys506adventures4 I was thinking of that lipo when I suggested a solar setup. I actually have a couple 230w panels you could maybe have but unfortunately they may be a little too big and also they are currently in ontario and may be a while before I get up to NB.

    Concerned should you have both of the lines from the wrench to cabin run under the rail of the trailer. I thought one on top as you had ran risk of the wire putting tension on the rail or rail causing the wire to thin out.

      @sparkys506adventures4  2 місяці тому

      The upper cable was stationary not sliding on the steel .... I had the cable there because when I ran it straight back it was going to rub on the winch control wires ......it worked out fine lol

    Just wondering 🤔, (and I don’t know the answer) it seems to me the cabin is not centered over the axel. What does that do for your tongue weight?Or, is it insignificant that short distance over center??

    • @sparkys506adventures4
      @sparkys506adventures4  2 місяці тому

      You don't want your load centered on a trailer you always want it more at the front of trailer ....if there isn't enough tongue weight the trailer will sway bad at speed. I was first concerned it may not be far enough to the front but I think it will be fine. But also when a trailer is designed properly the axle is 60% of the total distance back.....if the total length if 10 feet the axle should be 6 feet back .....
