Another thing I found with this plane is when you're on taxi, it's better to line the plane up using the altitude ribbon. I see a lot of people using the vertical line between the aviation and nav screens but that is too far over to the right side to line the nose wheel up on center. You do it the "correct" way in this video
If you are stuck behind NVIDIA's greedy paywall by not having a 40 series card, then I highly recommend Lossless Scaling on Steam. It allows you to add frame generation to any application and it works wonders for MSFS.
I am on climb thrust magenta color. climbing speeds are 250kts. nav1 ap1 enabled. It keeps disconnecting autopilot. Climbing angle is 10 degrees up to 15 degrees max. May I ask for assistance?
Check to make sure your flight controls are neutral (rudder, ailerons etc) when you take off, sometimes that causes an AP issue. I usually take off without AP or AT on and just manually fly through the rotation then once gaining altitude and cleaning up gear and flaps and getting wings level I engage AP (usually at about 1500' or so) and dial the speed in by hand then push it in so the plane manages it. It just makes life easier in general even though you're doing more work
Another thing that could be happening is that the plane isn't hitting the right speed when you take off, another reason why I just dial it in by hand after rotation speed. Another thing I personally do is jack the three takeoff speeds up by a few knots, so if the computer says 135 145 158 for example, I round those up to the nearest, so 140 150 160. I find that MD-11's like to take off a bit on the spicy side, not sure if that's true of the real plane or not but given the hard nose up takeoff and landing of this big bird, tons of speed near the runway can only be an ideal condition
This will hopefully be a great plane, Ive been rooting for it and was an early purchaser. Unfortunately I feel like they releases a beta version to us. There are some pretty poor textures in some locations, and there are some serious bugs that keep this aircraft from being reliable for long haul flights. They seem to be aware of the issues as I have commented on their discord, but they also have a bad attitude and seem to think we should all be thankful for this unfinished aircraft that was the most expensive to date. 🙄
@@jay-rus4437 I raised some frustration with them in areas like it's inability to work properly with virtual airline clients and they are working through a long list of bugs and tweaks.
The FlightGear one probably has more of the systems done than this and it's still very much in active development, and I have redone a lot of the textures on it for my personal use. It's free and honestly one of the more fun planes to fly on that sim even though it has a few bugs and not all the systems are modeled yet. I like doing UPS ops with it

Yyyeeeeaaag, so far NOT a fan of the violent 25+ degree pitch up when activating AP after initial climbout.. good lord i hope they fox that ASAP, that is AWFUL.
I feel like its super light too…..tested my theory after landing. Brakes pressed full, speed at 65 knots, and slightly pulled back on the stick and the front gear popped right up. This aircraft should not be popping front gear up at 65 knots. Clearly there are issues

Really enjoying these videos I’m a little rusty on md11 last one I used was pmdg way back pulled my manuals and following along

Question what’s the name of you’re frame gen app ?
I don't have a frame gen app, I'm just using Nvidia control panel and the MSFS settings

How can you install this livery when i download its a rar file and i just cant get it to work even after making it a zip could anyone help me out.
A rar file is much like a zip file. You have to unrar the file, and in the created folder, is the livery(ies)
@@ajfurnari2448 i know but i have had a really hard time installing any livery for the tfdi md-11.
Open the .rar file -> Extract to community folder. Just like with any other aircraft / livery.

The two things that always seem to be scuffed on flight sims with these planes are the glareshield AP controls and the box missing important features

Made a dozen flights in the MD-11 now and never had this happen. I will keep an eye out for it.
@dadgametime7160 Yeah I figured it out, it was my fault, wasn't activating AP and AT correctly, just took off from Chicago, smooth as glass.
