2:30 gender reveals seems like an actual reason some transphobic moms would give for being against their child being trans. Like "what about that party I had before you were born! I can't tell everyone I was wrong"
I mean, if my parents had done a gender reveal, they would have been wrong. I'm not trans, but it was tucked when my mother got the ultrasound, so they thought they were having a girl. They literally had to pick my name in the hospital because they hadn't picked out any boy names, they had settled on Amanda Leigh (my mother wanted me to share her middle name, but my dad shut down calling me "a mandolin" _hard,_ so they went with "Leigh"). So... that means it's possible for it to happen with cis people, too, and it's an invalid argument. I mean, it's an invalid argument anyways because bigotry is bullshit, but yeah. Side note: this story is also why it's important to plan for _either_ gender, cuz otherwise, you notice how terrible "Amanda Lynn" is, but are in such a fluster trying to find a good name that you give your _straight son_ the initials "B.J." I mean, honestly, you should probably avoid any combination of first name that starts with a "B" and a middle or last name starting with "J", regardless of the baby's sex, but still. Avoid "B.O.", as well.
I want to do a gender reveal but then again I kinda wanna just get told the gender and keep it from everyone and when ppl ask I’ll have them try to guess and it’ll be one big a$$ torture show.
6:33 as a pansexual, I agree! Give me free housing so I can get out of my grandma’s house and be queer af, dang it! Also, how do I tap into my shapeshifting powers?

Grandpappy seems like an Intentional Ally if his first instinct upon seeing a "pronoun game" is to tell his pronouns-in-bio grandson about it LOL Also the gender reveal thing cracks me up, my mom and I were discussing it a while ago and she told me (agender) that, even if she wanted to do a gender reveal, she wouldn't have been able to because the nurses could never tell what I was on any of the scans. 25 years ago and I already had no gender 😂
My favorite thing is grandparents trying to support their grandkids but getting it wrong because they don't understand. It's both funny and heartwarming.
Grandpappy is intentional but the game itself isn't ! I like these wholesome kind of accidental allies where people see affirming symbols that are accidentals
The "Pronoun Game" is what I called something irritating people in my immediate family used to do where they'd just say "that" or "the thing" instead of actually naming whatever it was they were talking about, and expecting others to just read their minds.
11:32 THIS is transition goals tbh. Can confirm. I am now at the point where if anyone manages to use “she“ despite my VERY obvious beard, i can only laugh. Before passing enough, misgendering really got me down, but by now it just slides off me like water off a hydrophobic surface. Like, DUDE, i've done my part conforming to look the way you expect men to look. If you can't even read what YOU claimed to be male looks, joke's on you. I tried, lol. At this point, i have nothing left to prove and no more fucks to give. :D
One of my favorite story is about that transman's parents who've asked to him to wear a dress to his sister's wedding (to avoid embarrassement in they own words). They didn't saw him since a few years/month and he have fully transitionned in a muscular bearded guy. Joke on them with his sister support he complies.
Hmmm. I do wonder if a small portion of those people might just be confused. I mean if they think you are biologically male and then hear you are trans they might wrongly assume male to female? Or maybe that’s the optimistic view.

My favourite part of the video is in the beginning when he says "but it ends up coming full circle and coming *back* to being allyship" Which says that being an ally is the norm, which it actually is. The phobic people are just so much more vocal about it so it seems like there's more.
What OT says at 19:28 is so true! Because look, I'll admit it, as a teen I was transphobic, thankfully bettered myself as a person since then but the past still happened, no point in hiding away what you were when it's part of the journey to what you are now. Granted, I didn't do anything overly hateful like violence or hurling insults, it was just crude and offensive jokes about them. But then eventually I met a trans person, who I didn't even know what trans to begin with, and we grew as friends until eventually they trusted me enough (because thankfully I didn't tell any of my phobic jokes/comments to them) that they revealed that they were in fact transgender. And it was at that moment that my whole outlook had been turned on its head and I realised that trans people are literally just people, why should I hate someone just for existing? Why would I hate someone for changing themselves to become someone that they feel more comfortable as? And so after that I changed my views, didn't make any of the jokes or comments that I did before and just aimed to be a better person, which, in my observations, I am now. You just need an open mind and a bit of exposure in a lot of cases, because what you hear can be completely different from what is actually truth.
I’m so happy you are an ally now! Always feels good to hear about people learning and being more kind :) Btw, you mentioned “changing themselves” - not wrong, per se, but it’s more like changing their bodies.
@@VoidKing666 Yeah, I say "changing themselves" in a broad term, because while there are those that change their bodies, there are also those that change their style or looks to appear more gender ambiguous, which is just as equally valid. Transphobes don't care enough to learn. They just parrot the same points that have been debunked more times than their parents said "I love you"
2:30 gender reveals seems like an actual reason some transphobic moms would give for being against their child being trans. Like "what about that party I had before you were born! I can't tell everyone I was wrong"
It’s funny cause the OG mom that did one is appalled by what gender reveals have become, and her kid is nonbinary, I think?
Side note: this story is also why it's important to plan for _either_ gender, cuz otherwise, you notice how terrible "Amanda Lynn" is, but are in such a fluster trying to find a good name that you give your _straight son_ the initials "B.J."
I mean, honestly, you should probably avoid any combination of first name that starts with a "B" and a middle or last name starting with "J", regardless of the baby's sex, but still. Avoid "B.O.", as well.
I want to do a gender reveal but then again I kinda wanna just get told the gender and keep it from everyone and when ppl ask I’ll have them try to guess and it’ll be one big a$$ torture show.

My favourite part of the video is in the beginning when he says "but it ends up coming full circle and coming *back* to being allyship"
Which says that being an ally is the norm, which it actually is.
The phobic people are just so much more vocal about it so it seems like there's more.
Every time I hear Matt Walsh mentioned, it just makes me more glad that I'm not named Matt anymore
Always feels good to hear about people learning and being more kind :)
Btw, you mentioned “changing themselves” - not wrong, per se, but it’s more like changing their bodies.

6:24 i swear i got a genshis impact ad and i think one character in the ad said "theres no such thing as freedom" or something like that-
8:32
My demigirl brain: *This is out of my range of comprehension*
BRO I YOU WATCHING THIS VIDEO IN 2X SPEED?
@@CosmiTwink 🤣🤣🤣🤣
My phone screen is broken and it skipped a little bit of the video, and I just accepted my fate, lmfao 🤣🤣
the best part of an accidental ally is that you can just bask in the glory of them being so wrong
Thank you OT for being a wholesome bean. Your content helps on bad days. Live for the boop!❤
16:42 getting so many roommates makes the spooky things less likely to fuck with you! BRILLIANT!!!
I was hugging my comfort item, my Squishable Baphomet, and 15:53 popped up. My sister also has one... and I feel like my dad has already seen that.
Baphy is now my trans male comfy goat god friend from the days of the Knights of Templar, and I will treasure him for the rest of my life.
The “Knights of Templar” didn’t worship Baphomet. They were soldiers of Christ, not heretics
Never said that they worshiped Baphomet, just saying Baphomet was around back then. Back in the days of [blank] simply means the time period, right?
@BurnoutBlake to me, it’s a demonic idol
Oh hello, trolling guy sliding into a Baphomet comment again! Back for more reactions?
@@STPLafou I’m not a troll
I love it when some of the accidental allies talk their bad stuff long enough that they actually realise they *want* to be an ally. The intelligent ones at least get there in the end. Others just repeat themselves.
Love you OT!
Bigots, to my enby ass: “you’ll never be a man”
Me: “yes, yes of course”
Them: “you’ll never be a woman”
Me: “Well yeah I don’t bleed down there and got my tubes tied for a reason”
Them: “OMG WHAT ARE YOU?!”
Me: “Well I’m 200lb so here are the options:
A. 8 corgis in a trench coat
B. 4 Samoyeds in a trench coat
C. Two German Shepards in a trench coat
D. One veeeeery chonky Newfoundland in a trench coat”
You’ll always be a woman
plot twist, you're the trench-coat in every scenario
how many Maine coon = 1 you tho ?
That just feels like the best plot of a film that someone dreamt up
Uhh actually you can't say them to refer to a singular bigot because according to the bible verse 657 ..m
