    Thank you dr. Axe! Banana replaces eggs for vegan recipes. About one banana for two eggs seems right. I'm going to make these soon. And probably dates for sugar.

    Could you use almond or coconut flour? And why do you mix the xylitol with stevia? Why not just one or the other?

    Great brownies, easy to make. Who'd thought black beans can make chocolate brownies. I used coconut flour instead of gluten free baking mix. I would try extra couple of spoon of baking cocoa powder for a stronger chocolate taste, maybe instead of 2/1 use 3/4 cup.

    It's delicious. I am eating a peace now. It has no bean flavor, which surprised me since I am using freshly cooked Brazilian back beans. Just in case you don't know, Brazilian beans have the bean characteristic flavor.

    I had to add WAY more sweetener to taste. I used a combo of honey & coconut sugar ( also cheated & added a little white sugar). They smelled really good baking. Next time I'll add chopped walnuts.. ^_^

      I would go to a holistic doctor and have them check your yeast levels in your body. I was getting severe migraines years ago and my holistic doc ran tests and found out that my yeast levels were so high that it became systemic. I was on a boatload of antibiotics for middle ear infections for months on end and that's why my yeast levels were so high. Now the AMA states that antibiotics are useless against middle ear infections, no wonder Im such a mess medically speaking. High yeast levels will cause allergies to foods that were once ok for you to eat. My triggers became tomatoes and any tomato based foods. Sugars, simple carbs, dairy gave me migraines too and caffeine. If you can afford to go to a holistic doc and have them run tests, you won't regret it!

      Bibi Landin Yes - chia seeds w water, let it sit and it becomes egg like in texure. Tastes great in sweet recipes like cookies so think it would work for this. Think it is 1 tsp or tbsp of chia to replace one egg but check google to be sure :)

    Once you added the stevia, that's where you lost my interest. I prefer to cook with natural everyday ingredients, not stuff that comes in packets. Even honey would have been acceptable.

    • @mirzamay
      @mirzamay 7 років тому

      Ellie A. Well you can change the recipe and put other sweetener in, that's what I'm going to do. Most xylitol and stevia are actually compromised anyway, maybe not as bad as the sugar, I don't know. But look at how great they said aspartame and margarine was. And if your going to go drink a coke you might as well have some sugar brownies.
      And anyway those eggs are probably more detrimental to health than an all natural sweetener anyway.
      Statistically meat and animal products make most diseases astoundingly worse. I'm shocked to find this stuff out. It turns out it's worse than sugar for diabetes, heart disease, cancer and on and on. It looks like your body can fight these things to some degree until you add the animal products and then everything bad sets in from the sugars and starches etc. I thought eggs were healthy and milk. I didn't believe ppl who said they weren't. But I feel so much different without them that I believe it now.

      Eggs have actually been proven to be one of the healthiest foods you could ever manage to eat. Eggs contain a mixture of healthy things like iron, disease fighting powerhouses like the nutrients lutein and zeaxanthin, an excellent source of choline and selenium (brain health), and a host of carotenoids, cancer providing agents. At an average of 75 calories per egg, it comes packed with 6-8grams of protein, 5 grams of fat (only 1.5 saturated), and a boost of healthy, high-blood pressure and cardiovascular disease lowering HDL cholesterol that's actually good for your heart (HDL (high-density lipoprotein) A.K.A good cholesterol, vs LDL (low-density lipoprotein) A.K.A bad cholesteral).
      Don't even get me started on milk, which is healthy when appreciated in moderation.

    • @jazziered142

      Yeah but it taste nasty, it has that after flavor that's so vile. I hate Stevia or any artificial sweetener. Everytime I try to find a healthy recipe for a dessert that's the first go to in the recipe and yeah, so it ruins it.
