A great video for absolute beginners, well done. Personally I never use a separate hook length, too many knots that are weak spots. I've been doing this ever since mono lines came onto the market. It was different when we only had cotton lines and catgut hook links. As you can gather, I've been fishing for a long time, well over 70 years. I always use crystal wagglers these days, get mine from ebay, they cost about 10p each and are just as good as any branded ones. Good luck.
Hi Mick it's the first time I've seen your video. Excellent, really really well presented, so easy to understand. Sorry l don't know your second name, so l don't know how to follow you online. I would like to see some more of your videos. I'm not very savvy with technology so could you or any of your followers tell me the best way forward..Best regards Tony
Hi , Mick usually fishes with the anti -reverse OFF so this way he stops the reel spinning backward when waiting for a bite, he says its an old habit from when trotting on rivers where he would hold the spool with his fingers and control the line paying off the spool with his forefinger
Mick, that was fab. So well explained. Much appreciated fella. 👌

Glad it was helpful, Mick's surname is Vials. If you search for NuFish or Mick Vials then you will get plenty of videos.
Many Many thanks...tight lines freind!
Why do you have your fingers on the bail arm?
The bail arm is off to allow the angler to keep in contact with the flow of the river or lake

Спасибо Мик , Где купить такие поплавки ?
They are Drennan floats 👍🏻
On ebay, don't buy branded ones, they're no better but cost a lot more.
What rod and reel
Mick uses a 13ft carbonactive super float and a Centris reel
What lake you fishing mick
I forget the name, it was the largish one in the middle of the complex
Mick, what lake. Don't be like Enide Blyton and The Secrete Seven.😅
@@NuFishWhat complex, if it's a commercial fishery then surely it's not a secret.
why use waggler vs bobber? than you
