Like old friends that I've never met I watch em on a knackered old set Their adventures are mad And The dogs a proper lad They'll go global soon I'd bet 🍻To nomads everywhere🥂
Been meaning to comment for ages! 😂 Thanks for the tip for rounding Portland Bill when I asked, worked a treat 👌🏻 Have you guys not tried lasso the cleat from onboard using the midship line? I’d hate to see Faye slip whilst jumping off the pontoon to get the bow line on,🙈 much safer if you can do it from on deck 👍🏻
@@martinbirdiebrain1912 hiya Martin! We’ve tried everything now. If the pontoon is long enough, midship lines are wonderful. But most of the time the pontoon is waaaay too short, so midship line is not so helpful. I like a lasso, but Faye gets struck by an antigravity pulsatron every time she throws a line from the boat and it ends up in the water 😂
My oh my how things have changed. In 1982 we tied up to the same seawall(no marina berths then) and every day a very nice older gentleman came to collect the port dues. He even wrote us receipts for the princely sum of 25 pence. This was for a 46 foot ketch. No wonder you lot have to make these videos to be able to afford to go sailing nowadays. Good old times eh. Cheers Peter.
@@peterschouten-ys8yr lovely memory Peter! Alas I wish the videos helped to pay for the sailing! They don’t even cover 1% of our expenditure. You’d laugh if you saw how much one gets!
I should of course have mentioned that that was in gijon. Cheers Peter.
