For a tutorial on the TRR, you really didn't spend any time explaining how to actually use the thing...
Remains quite puzzling I'm afraid...
In the beginning you say the vertical lines represent the destroyer speed in knots, and the horizontal lines refer to the sinking time of the depth charges in seconds.
Then at 0:43, you say the vertical lines represent depth, and the horizontal lines represent destroyer speed.
This is very unclear!
In reality during some parts of the battle of the atlantic you were a winner if you made it through with half of your convoy intact. This game is still quite gamey in many respects despite the sim components, I really hope it gets better in the AI and user interface areas.
Do we fire when the EDGE of the black mark touches the barbed line or the CENTER of the black mark?
If I'm understanding it right, you want the next horizontal bar drawn (on top) to touch the furthest left line (the darker, dotted line) on the angled, vertical layer of plexiglass
So the sonar operator isn't changing the data as I change speed or depth setting? I find that hard to grasp in a ship that has hundreds of people working on it, that I need to man every station myself. There should be AI, right? I already really see the missed potential by this game not being multicrew like Wolfpack.
Yes Ai would be nice so you can learn as you play and slowly start manning the other stations as you feel comfortable.
It is still unclear when to fire. Some presentation of the successful kill by using TRR would be helpful in addition to his basis tutorial how to zoom and operate this station.
Edited* Here's an alternate video from a player who seems to know what to do: ua-cam.com/video/2G3McrXcBps/v-deo.html
I believe you want to fire when the horizontal burned-in line on the paper begins to touch the thick dotted line on the plexiglass.
Your verbal instructions are clear but looks like u set the ship speed to 20 instead of 15?
i have this game but I have a hard time learning all of this stuff.

managed to damage a uboat with debris on my first attack, but it was down to sheer luck ahahahahaha
Luck or not, the important thing is that you got him :)
bro make it simpliar we are not all navy experts we need to fun with good game or make it with difficulty settings this is so hard for people which is not played this type of game... its almot unplayeble
This is completely confusing, hopefully someone not associated with the studio makes a video explaining it correctly
yeah sorry man but this explains very little
Which part is not clear enough? BTW. The game has its own tutorial, by the way, which shows everything step by step.
Everything. Game tutorial is really bad, this is just bad. Make an example attack with more detail.
