  • This video collage that I made is from the game show, "The Joker's Wild."
The Pilot Episodes were taped on December 8, 1968 and January 5, 1969.
    The host was Allen Ludden.
After the two pilots, the game finally aired on CBS from September 4, 1972 (the same day that "Gambit" and "The New Price is Right" debuted) to June 13, 1975.
    The host was Jack Barry.
The theme song is called "The Savers" by Jean-Jacques Perrey and Gershon Kingsley. This song originally came from the 1967 album 'KALEIDOSCOPIC VIBRATIONS: Spotlight On The Moog', a year & a half before the release of release of Walter (now Wendy) Carlos' 1968 ground-breaking record "Switched-On Bach."
This is not the cloudy version that most are familiar with. This is the "Stereo" version of this theme.
All episodes survive, including the first two years of the CBS version, which was once thought to have been destroyed until the episodes were found at New York's WCBS-TV in 2000. The first two CBS installments have been shown on the Game Show Network (GSN still has the 1974-75 CBS installments in its vault) and are currently held by Sony Pictures Television.
All episodes are currently being converted by Sony from Analog to Digibeta format.
NOTE: Copy and paste " &fmt=18 " at the end of the URL then refresh to get a stereo sound. (Thank you PCMusic75)
