He’s not raising the area with ponding water. He simply applied one layer even extending it outside of the area with ponding water. It may stop the leak but not the ponding. To stop the ponding he needs to raise and level off the deeper spot with the higher one.

@inappropriatemushroom4709 there's a ponding filler I believe it's buy APOC. Not sure it's possible to accept a seal over it once it cures though. I saw a video on UA-cam showing how they applied the ponding product.

We don't need to raise the ponding area as our coating will hold up to ponding water without deteriorating or leaking.

Exactly, Johnny, this system will not get rid of the ponding much and hopefully it can endure its negative effects on the roofing system.

There are different products on the market to fill low areas of ponding. Henry makes Pond Patch that works and there is also a product called Roofslope. You can try them and see what you prefer...

That's nice work. But before proceeding to roof coating roof cracks repair is the very essential for long lasting roof waterproofing and results as well. So far our experience is only coating is not enough to hold water leakages for a long time.

Well then the question is: Does this system endure ponding water and if so for about how long (obviously would vary by climate)?
And how can it be proved without using the public and working professionals as the experimenters with expenses etc..?

Unfortunately, in my experience, it is very rare to see a proper solution applied. Flat roofs seem to be prohibitively expensive to service and in my area it is absolutely the contractors inflating the pricing making it almost no choice for building owners to opt for an actual permanent solution.

Most roofing contractors don't specialize in flat roof ponding fabrication. Creative people will cut a 8 foot diagnol slope using plywood & torchdown roofing. In general,, usually ponding water will dry up in 5 days --> good gosh. But hay, if it dries in 5 days so be it. Some people pay 50k to turn a flat roof into a traditional roof. Ouch. If it's only 1 area, i'd say, clean it, prep it, and put silicone to withstand the 5 days.

@@kendalgee5808 that's exactly what I'm thinking. I'm a huge proponent of doing things right the first time. But if you can stop a roof leak with a band-aid thats going to buy you 5-10 years, and it's going to save you hundreds of thousands of dollars, that's a no-brainer.

Thanks for your reply and the opportunity to educate you a little on our products. SureCoat products are formulated with marine resins and designed for prolonged exposure to water and heat and will not break down. The substrate can be damp due to cleaning but not ponding or pooling and adhesion is not affected. Give us a call for an adhesion test kit and check it out for yourself. 877-823-7873
