I thought he was gonna slash his hand and yell heehaw
Started to laugh but then got more and more angry. This is not a parody. Maddeningly idiotic.
my first job coming home from Vietnam was hot tar roofing, this clown wouldn't make a pimple on me arse or a roofers arse.
Nicely done, great job 👍
This is the scariest video I think I've ever watched. I need a drink....
I'll drink to that! Here here
Lol
Also he said he doesn't put it on bare plywood....It's designed to be installed over bare roof decking and never meant to be installed over anything other than that.
To all roofers out there use this product as intended !
But NOT in this application. This was painful to watch.
yeesss we're done get the money nice job got some great tips ill b starting my roof very soon great video
I've got to point out that, THAT is not roofing material. That is Ice and Water Barrier. It is an underlayment for valleys, and eaves of a roof. It won't last a year exposed to the weather. It's made to lay shingles over in high risk, wet areas.
this comment saddens me
Made for shingles?
Very cool video. Thanks
Gotta be careful on a flat roof they are slick u can slid rite of
Lol I did catch that one!
It was a late night and I haven't had my coffee yet today!
I'm about to go wrap some widows in aluminum.
If only I had this guys help!
I have never done it like that before . Not saying your wrong . But I thought ice sheld has to be covered with shingles because the sun will destroy it fast.
Covered within 60 days, per code
Make it look like a roof then sell the house.
Fuck yeah that’s how we do it in Florida buyer beware law
Holy shit!! You just did it the hard way!
Excellent video Greg. You make it so much fun and simple. Thank you.
Hardworking guy, honest, and fun... really enjoyed..
Some people are beyond words and beyond help. This guy is both. I want to know , does he really believe that he just did a good job?? Better yet that he did the job correctly??
benny hill on a roof
where's your PPE?
Never copy this Man 🙂
LOL
I don't know, looks like your having trouble on the first row , rolling out the room while going backwards, lucky you didn't fall , plus you did the math. Bravo
haters should take some time like this guy n post a vid themselves or just offer constructive criticism. every video helps!! poking fun just makes the haters look like chumps. Be a champ instead and share!!
Credential checking shouldn't be via video. But agreed, more videos should be posted
Every video does not help. This is tantamount to the gypsies that go around ripping off people with their buckets of silver roof paint.
Ice and water as a finished low slope roof? Am I doing something wrong? 😆😆
😂😂😂 this guy experimenting with some old lady's roof!!! It reminds me as when we where children and "we were going to fix grandmas roof, haha 😅😅😂😂
I had the same thoughts. I put on my first roof (well, helped pa) at about 13-14 and I knew way more when I started then he does
Would it not be easier to cut your length on the ground then you would have much smaller rolls to deal with? Just saying this looks like a lot of work. Plust I would be so upset if I found out old roofing was under the new stuff.
Waiting for next segment: Baking A Gasoline Cake with Greg Zanis.
a match made in heaven.
😂
I feel so bad for the people who pay for this kind of work. You can learn a lot on UA-cam, sometimes it’s what not to do and how not to do it.
This guy would have to pay me money for me to let him work on my roof.
Why is that?
@@kristopherhasenbuhler5393 The work is awful
Paul Green: Be careful, make sure you charge him more than the cost of damages XD
Once I figured out you are just trolling, you my friend are NEXT LEVEL!....LOL!...funny shit man!
i saw this guy start the project and i thought " oh crap. i used weather watch as an underlayment." then i realized he has no idea what he's doing. and he mentioned you get what you pay for in life. well this guy paid for an underlayment.
Also at 8:59 When he starts mumbling on about.the gutter.straps , there only about 2-3 inches on the roof , your soffit extends about a foot under your roof so if it did happen to leak, the water wouldn't enter your house ...
I give him an A+++ for effort.
Hardworking guy, honest, and fun... really enjoyed..
I’m not a roofer but I am a woman. Besides other errors I feel he needs to use a roof roller to flatten the underpayment (oops does he not use any? Maybe not needed here.) he also should use a heavy roof roller on the cap sheet so there are no air pockets and to also assure no wrinkles. I feel his method leaves it wide open for the roof blowing up underneath with many air pockets and a roof redo will be in order.
haha over wet moss awesome
Hack job. He Is not a roofer . That roof leaked ... After the next hard rain....
You need to prep roof better like primer is needed over that rough roof for it to stick well
Literally the video I was looking for. Thanks Greg.👍
Thanks you for sharing this video with me, I can't wait to get this material for
no no no!!! read the SDS this is NEVER an exterior product or a roof. it's like peel-and-stick felt for you to put under shingles or metal.
@@detumaki do not see or hear the granules?
Just out of curiosity..should he have removed thd old roofing first?
Yes they are adding weight to sections and roof will sag in areas. Also this product is to be used under neath shingles.
And in addition should NEVER be applied over an old roof but is meant ONLY for direct-to-deck application.
We lap roll roofing or ice guard 18 inches years ago i tore a lot of it off it only had 2 inch lap now we usually put rubber or hot tar on flat roof
This isn't even roll roofing. He used GAF WeatherWatch leak barrier.
the only thing that would have made this funnier is if he fell down the ladder at the very end.
That would have been the only thing that was funny... The rest of this video is criminal.. He just ripped off this person.
@@kyleking1401 how did he just rip this guy off? Obviously you work for a roofing company sms only know what you habe been taught.. You probably think this is under layment? Lol go to some trade shows and you will learn about new products... this is the same thing as torch down accept you don't need a torch it already had the very very sticky bonding agent on the back. A company basically took ice and waters idea and applied it to applied it to torch down roofs. This product is 4 times thicker then ice and water. So know what your talking about. Or someone like myself will call you out and make you look dumb
@@johndeleonardo9133
No ..it is ice & water shield underlayment.. And no product no matter what part of the country your from will stick properly to that old 90lb roll or hot roof... A torch down roof would b boarder line ccorrect but this douche would prolly burn down the women's house
Kyle King almost everything you just said was wrong, the under laymen he used was heavy duty and meant to stick for awhile, nothing about what he was doing was a criminal
@@LegoBoy1919 how come your the only one here who thinks this..
*This product is an underlayment, and not meant to be exposed for more than 60 days!!*
"Ask her for the MONEY..." Lol !!!
it'll work, until it rains.
what about all the edge flashing, especially next to the house siding?
I just video taped myself so i could be sued....."It's sooo easy"
This is a gig he does on the side, when he is not overseeing security at a nuclear power plant.
LMFAO
God help us
How much did you get for that job?
Totally WRONG and should REMOVE before someone does this THINKING IT'S ok
@@yesyea1012 nothing wrong with it if you're ok missing the other 2 sheets of the sandwich, plus the mandatory overly, but the boy got paaaaaaid!
looks like what was being used previously though
@@ehrenleleski8204 - The original roofing appears to be an improper installation, or a hot mop that has completely lost its weathering surface.
Someone help . Getting ready this do a flat roof that was mopped on years ago. Is this just the wrong product? Is there something similar that would wrk. Thanks for comments. Saved me.
talk to a local roofer or your local lumber yard that sells roofing materials, know the pitch of your roof. I suggest using EPDM Roofing materials.
Absolutely everything about this install is wrong! The installation instructions are right there on the box he threw down! This guy is a metal scrapper LOL
A lot of roofers I have seen can't even do it without getting all the plastic off. He wasn't bad at all.
Grace ice and water I believe has a 3-month exposure time... Since that's underlayment and not Roofing...
He could be a painter, tin bender, are a regular ol handy man.i would probably follow the directions on the box, including how and what it should be used for.
He doesn't know how to read that's why he threw the instructions on the ground
MayonR lol your jealous of his skills . The plastic beat you eh buddy lmao
This guy really put ice and water shield on top of roll roofing
A roofer scared to be on a flat???? 😂😘😌😌😌😌I don't think he is a roofer lol
He's scared because he has no insurance LOL!
Later on, he bends over to tie his shoe and loses his balance with the cords in his way, I'm dying laughing!
He's not a roofer, because that is not roofing material. It's an underlayment for shingles in high risk leak areas.
jonas Ramirez nope definitely not proper product - it’s shingle underlayment that goes on UNDER shingles. Not professional roofer, safety, or workmanship 👎 Just another cash cow on the grab and go.
Definitely not a roofer for sure. I mean that's a terrible job well not too bad but I mean obviously it's going to leak. But is not a roofer learned it the hard way because hired someone to do my roof they did a bad job they say it won't leak but I know it will this will leak a roofer does not do it by himself
So after watching this Am I a professional roofer now?
"You get what you pay for in life" 0:40
Can someone explain to me why this is wrong? .....i placed new tile on old tile.....i was thinking to do this to fux my leak...
I've never seen a roofer with paint on his pants
Sure, from the spraypaint to mark my tools 😂
Thanks for the video
+TheDreamCar Good God man, I hope you refunded the owner's money.
Next time let it stay down and pull the top plastic than tack nail it and flip the bottom up and pull plastic off the back. Normally we try to clean the roof more. Ive done roofing for over 30 years. Copper, slate, rubber, shingles and hot tar
