It's a good kit but way too expensive considering the competition. The 452k should be $500. These days even Roland has an entry level full mesh kit, so there's no excuse for a tiny rubber pad kit to cost $700.
everyone keeps telling Yamaha is waaay off course and old in the electronic drumkit world, but i still think it sounds better than the TD-1 DMK yes i would love to have cash for a Pearl Mimic/ Emerge, but that is not the case...
@@munkskyline17 no i have yamaha dtx 452 and dtx 500. I prefer even the sound of the cheaper dtx 452 because it just sound that good. Youve got to play it to hear.
On the DTX452, is it possible to play something like a Bossa Nova beat where you're using the length of the drumstick across the rim? I've heard that this doesn't quite have a rim zone? Playing Latin rhythms would be important to me, so it would be important to know whether you can actually play that on this kind of drum or whether it's relegated to purely pop and rock rhythms where you're striking more in the centre of the drum head rather than across the whole thing. Also, can you use brushes on these drums for jazz? Thanks

TD-1DMK offers better sound stage and drum mesh IMO..

Cross stick is possible on the drum, buat you can't use brushes on these
