This is just incredible. I'm an 18 year old guy and I want to start drumming SO BAD. Too bad I could never afford anything like this. I'll buy some sticks tomorrow and start hitting things around my house.
OMG i have been using my dtx drums for over 4yrs already but i didnt know that i could do sooo much more with it, im so excited to try those things, Thank you soooo much
I'm considering buying this kit. I have absolutely no knowledge of drums whatsoever, I only played with one acoustic drums once! But i would like to start learning. Do you recommend this drums set after 4 years of usage?
i have just starting using my dtx 400k drums but i didnt know that i could do so much more with it , im so excited to try those things, its a great value for money and worth buying one Thank you so much
Good training tool. As a front of house sound engineer I shudder when a drummer brings along one of these. it only has a stereo output so mixing the separate drums is a nightmare particularly if the drummer has not setup the balance correctly. why has this not been taken onto account and as well as just a stereo output, have separate outputs for each of the drums and symbols.
I love how he moved the module and crash up to the top, makes it easier to operate. I did that too now, don't know why they don't tell you to setup like this in the first place?
👌👍👏👏👏 I am regretting to why I didn't learn drumming then, well in our time we didn't have internet in India, and ofcourse the convenience of learning drumming through utube from an excellent trainer like you sir.👍👍👍 to electronic drumming.
I read about drummers not liking or loving a click track and I never understood what the big deal was until you just played it here. Wow, I think I LIKE the click track! It would help me with fills, which are my weakness.
I played this as loud as I could. My neighbor called the cops on me. The cops arrested my neighbor. Cops told her to go rest n' leave me alone. She refused cop's advice to rest. So they arrested her for resisting a rest.
Iv been playing for a long time but never played electric drums and I really wanted to give it a go just ordered one for my birthday so exited to get it.
Any kit can be converted to double bass, not only kit #3. I bought the DTX400, but now want to upgrade, so if you're planning on buying one, I would hold out for the 450 with real bass pedal and 3 zone snare.
One thing I wish the electronic drum manufacturers would think about is the tendency of feet on foot pedals to vibrate the floors, which can cause neighbors to call the police as well. Maybe they could make an isolated surface that would rest on the floor that you could set your drums up on and not have to worry about quaking the neighbors' floor.
@@Fucklesticks Did you happen to know that there are Drum Apps for your phone too?! You use your fingers, like on a table drumming only on your phone instead. I have that great App... it's just fantastic! 💯 👊🏻😎👍🏻

Thanks Tom, that was an informative video. I realize this is an older video. I am in the market for a drum set for my daughter, and have recently started looking around at the different types of set ups. I have always liked Yamaha instruments. Anyway, my daughter is 14, and plays the guitar, piano and sings, and this school year joined the school band and is learning how to play the drums. So for Christmas/birthday this year we are getting her a set. Since this is an older set, would you recommend it, or is there something else out now that is even better for starting as well as something that will last and she won't outgrow? We do get some of our supplies from Guitar Center, so if you know of something that may be sold through them, or another outlet that has better deals, I'm open for suggestion.
Yeah,Ive bought it couple of years ago,as quality/price its very good set...I just would like to change the snare,to have more quality on the ghost notes..wich I could buy for this brilliant set? Thnx, very nice video!
I have played my double set (Singerland / Ludwig) with a few great rock groups and opened with my groups for some of the biggest recording artists in the late 60’s to early 70’s. The period when real rock was real. I tried several electric sets. Let me be total honest. There is never and I mean never be anything better than the real deal. Period. In fact several top drummers used my skins and stated that Singerland and Ludwig are the two best sounding drums on the planet.
Thank you very much for this helpful video. I would like to know, whether this drum kit is suitable for Metal music or not? The Rock sound is cool and the double bass function, but does the drum computer include "real" Metal sounds? ~ Joker
Thanks for the question. Yamaha does have some heavier sounds in there and really whether or not something is good for metal can be tough to answer, but yes it is suitable for metal. It has a kit called “hard rock” and it has one that’s a Maple kit. Both would be ok, and the double kick capability should help too.
ThePickerGoose hey think you man 🤘 i wanted to know if i can thrash on yamaha dtx 450k and u gave me the answer and now im gonna buy it comfortably keep rocking mate and thrash it up 🤘
And i have a question it may be a stupid question but.. Im used to play drums while the snare is between the toms and the hihat is on the floor tom side can i set up this drums kit like that?
glad that you like them-I personally much prefer an acoustic set-had an electronic set that I played on-hated it from the word go, & got steadily worse when the triggers started going out-found out that it was more expensive to have it fixed than what was paid for the set-got rid of it after that
Not being funny, but if I connect the foot pedal to the snare drum slot, will the foot pedal play like the snare drum? I've only got one arm so I have to play Rick Allen style!
How do i take the double base pedal settings off. I have a DTX402K, and I'm unable to control the hi hat because it was set to a double base pedal out of the box.

Which is like 4 times more expensive than what you get (don't forget welfare...). I'll be buying a second hand one for 2100 TL in the next couple of days. So be happy:)

jerrware The DTX400 Module should have MIDI over USB built in. I'm not sure there would be a lot of drivers necessary though to make a MIDI to USB interface work with the DTX500 module. Probably not.

Does this drum set work under water?
yes. all drum kits work under water, including accoustic ones
I was hoping that they worked underwater much in the same way as an electric guitar.
