    Here is what works for my healthy hormonal balance as a man: Longjack, Tribulus, ashwagandha, Maca roots, 2-3 grams of proteins per kilo body weight.
    I am currently doing somewhat low carb diet (110-130 grams carbs per day) and from experience, this is keeping me lean but also having a toll on my sxx drive where as, if I just go full carbs mode, my sxx drive will go significantly up but it will also mean I start getting belly fat and overall more fat. I like my current body fat %, I think it's around 10%-15% now and if I go full on carbs, it will become more like 17%-23% and my chest will start to get gyno. Obviously I am way stronger in the gym when I eat lots of carbs and I get a lot of respect from the males around me, some of them don't even dare to make eyecontact when I am bulked up with carbs, but I prefer being more lean and less stronger, it looks more healthy in the mirror, the only downside is the less respect you get, as a male in the city walking out at night, you obviously feel less anxious when you're bulked up which is another side effect from low carbs, it will make you feel slightly more anxious and slightly less confident, that's why I also sometimes use reishi and L-theanine on a daily basis, if the angst starts creeping up too much.
    My bloodwork shows 16,15 on free test and 0,305 (I think it's around 450 on American metric?) on total test, I believe my test is on the low end and I feel absolutely horrible without all these supplements mentioned above + vitamin B1, b2 and b3 niacin + magnesium.
    Doctors refuse to listen and help me out, because I am still within "normal T range", I think it's odd doctors ignores my health issues and that I am forced to spend so much money on supplements just to function on a daily basis, but that's danish healthcare in a nutshell.
    If I were a female and asked for hormones because I identify as a male, I would get instant help for hormonal treatment. It's a wicked world we live in.

      Boron is supposed to lower SHBG therefore increase free testosterone if you can believe the only one study about it. Even if it does that (and it is a big "if") it would not increase total testosterone.

    Thank you for using your knowledge to help so many men. I'm curious if you've investigated red light therapy directly to the testicles? This topic has been discussed by various media outlets, but I can't find credible research on the subject. The closest is an article from 2022 in JMIR Dermatol, but it's focus is UV radiation exposure to the testicles and not red light. Red light research in general is obtainable, but I don't have the medical background to understand if the applications of this therapy would have any potential benefits if used directly on the testicles. Just curious if you had any thoughts.

    I don't think you realize how difficult it is to set up testosterone injections. First, only a handful of doctors, usually at specialist clinics, will even entertain the notion. Overall it took me nearly six months (in Phoenix, AZ) to finally get this organized. To say they have changed my life is an understatement. I went from being lethargic, depressed and mentally woolly to feeling alert, motivated and sharp. I now fully appreciate why many women benefit from HRT. We are not meant to run with suppressed hormone levels and it's time doctors woke up to this fact. As for negative effects, I would rather lose a few years than live out my life as a the walking zombie I had become.

      My wife injects me every 21 days. It's so easy It's pathetic. Alternating but sides. If not you can inject yourself in your legs upper portion. Again so easy. I don't feel a thing when my wife does it. Not even a pinch. Get the individual viles of 1ml. Get the syringes with the 18 gauge needle on them to take the liquid out of of the vile and get the 23 gauge needles to inject. After the syringe is full with the 1ml, switch needles to the 23 gauge needle, purge the air out and inject. 5 minutes tops. Beats driving to and from the Dr's offices. Doing it for almost 2 years now. Any questions feel free to ask me.

    DHEA is a pro hormone. I dont know what my Testosterone level is because I don't care about the number. Focusing on the number is the wrong approach as everyone is different. How you feel and function should be the ultimate guideline.

    • @joe-rm4bl
      @joe-rm4bl 2 місяці тому +1

      Yes everyones testosterone levels are different which is why you need to get it checked in order to see if you are low or high.

    • @danielsykes7558
      @danielsykes7558 2 місяці тому +1

      I would say yes & no. If you have no symptoms, don't check the number, because even "low" might work for you, you may be more sensitive to it etc.
      But if one does have symptoms, (I'm being a hypocrite here) one should check levels first before trying to up levels.
      For example, I shouldn't take the supplements I throw at my body most likely, as I have PTSD caused psychogenic sexual dysfunction. My doctors have never had me check my testosterone levels.
      It could be good to know, but my symptoms aren't really from that. The number may not matter in my case, so taking the supplements I try is kinda pointless/dangerous
      That being said, when I work out, I feel my best. Doesn't get rid of PTSD, but depression and my health feel better, so ...
      Maybe I should save some money and focus on exercise before supplements.

    • @samprice6735
      @samprice6735 2 місяці тому

      I agree. The normal range is so wide that if you get your levels checked and you are just in the lower normal range a doctor will say your fine. But if you don’t feel fine that maybe you had been at the upper end of the normal range and actually this is a third or less of what you are used to hence why you feel low. So I agree numbers are only a guide, how you feel is a more important compared to your normal. Only way numbers could help is if you had your levels checked at a younger age so you know what is normal for you, then years later you know if your low for you if even in the normal range. Also testosterone to estrogen ratio is important than actual test levels. You can have high test and high estrogen and feel terrible because the balance is off and you just need to reduce estrogen levels.

Tried every test booster and pro hormone I could find that studies said worked but nothing helped. TRT (200mg/wk) was the only thing that helped me. Now I’m a 557ng/dl 3 months in. I wished the test boosters worked but it doesn’t work for everyone.

    DHEA is the mother of all hormones. Just a base as I understand it.
    Since testosterone and all hormones are produced from cholesterol. I add DHEA just to keep it in optimal range.
    Since men DHEA levels go south as we age. Also, DHEA has other benefits to the human body .

    DHEA has many benefits, besides (NOT) boosting Test. for example, it clearly improves mood and alertness, and also directly activates the BDNF receptor in the brain, which is in itself extremely valuable. HOWEVER supplemental DHEA also has considerable risk, and can cause kidney damage and dementia via ferroptosis for example. look it up.

    Testosterone eventually converts to estradiol and DHT. If you increase testosterone, don't be surprised about increased estradiol. It's the ratio that matters. You can reduce the conversion ro DHT or estradiol via several ways.

    • @donquixote...
      @donquixote... 3 місяці тому

      Yeah, that's true, but your test has to be a fair bit higher for estradiol to go higher. Just using something like DHEA isn't going to get your test level high enough for that. And even if you were on TRT having higher estradiol in and of itself is not really a problem for most (maybe a few exceptions).

After 1 hour of taking it, I actually went to the gym after not being able to work out for almost a year because I’ve been so tired. Been going to the gym for the past 4 days. I feel energized. A truth, as things are, is that what you use to replace what your body is supposed to do naturally, will stunt said ability; therefore said body will adapt to it. Thanks, Dr. Malik... What I'd like to see is a protocol for increasing test by age, and activity levels of supplements like DHEA, pregnenalone, etc., and even glutamine. TRT isn't always an option as it is expensive, and some may just not want to go that route. And things that ordinarily might not ve recommended for younger guys, might be very beneficial for older men. Also, there are plenty of discussions about TRT protocols, and debunking test boosters, etc., but not typically an outline of what guys should be doing.

    DHEA and Acytel-L-Carnitine do help boost T levels. they wont make your levels jump like T injections, but will get you a few points. best i saw was 30-45 points.
    DHEA is good for those of us over 40, and if you want something even better, NAD+ injections are amazing, along with MOTS-C, but you will need some deep pockets for that.
    I have problems with T injections. i get bloated, feel like i am on a roller coaster, and when its on the downside..... watch out... my Cholesterol levels do go up. i tried various versions, Depo-T being the better for sure. I got more side effects, or should say didn't see so many positives, as opposed to some friends of mine. each person is different....
    Seriously NAD+ is no joke and is so great. Ipamorelan is also great too.

    Dr Rena
    I'm calling you out. You don't know nor understand Dhea. Number one Dhea does not increase total testosterone! Number 2 if you use the correct type of DHEA it significantly raises Free testosterone. if you use 50 mg on up it aromatizes significantly.
    Also the type of DHEA ones uses is quintessential. If it is not micronized it will go through the gastrointestinal track and be stored as DHEA SULFATE. Guess what it doesn't do much of anything. If it is micronized it goes right through the gut enters the blood streams and ends up in the adrenals. It is converted to androstenedione which in turn is converted in the target organs to free testosterone. The most important thing that DHEA does is extends life. How? Dhea is the immunological hormone. It boosts the adaptive immune system by increasing natural killer cells, memory B cell and monocytes making it a mitogenic stimulus. Too bad that hack Dr Fauci wasn't an immunologist a lot less people would have died. I use 50 mg micronized 6 days a week in the morning. 50 mg increased my Free testosterone by 4 3/4 points which is consistent with a German study. I'm close to 70 and the last blood test that measured free testosterone came in at 19.9. Now I want you to put on your thinking cap and tell me how I got it so high! cheers!!!!!!!!!!

    What about enclomiphene citrate? What’s your opinion on this? I know the FDA didn’t approve it, but studies have shown it to be effective and without the negative side effects of Clomid.

    Short answer is no...
    Testosterone injections increase testosterone.
    Just do it under the guidance of a doctor.
    You're not a professional athlete, so it's not "juicing."😄
    It's just a small supplement to keep feeling young.

    Originally it worked fantastic. GNC had a version in the late 1970'S with Mexican sweet potato extract and dessicated Bovine Kidney. I was in my mid 20's and 10 of these 500 mg tabs would give me enormous woodies and huge amounts of non stop semen. Athletically I had endless stamina and healed really quick from scratches and never got cramps. A girl ended up with a child due to DHEA effects in the original formula. A fantastic herb was golden seal which somehow forever living products 'sunrider' took control of.
    Dhea since 1985 is pure garbage near all of it chemical slop. Golden seal now does nothing no matter how much you pay for it.
    Even Echinacea is a waste these days. Big corps buy out farmers and make extracts then sell the residual now inert as same same.
    I also remember Mathake and Pau de Arco as good herbs but now.......... ZERO

    Stop talking about total serum testosterone. It is not useful. Only free testosterone matters. This is a common medical misinformation problem. Total bilirubin is not useful when looking at brain damage in infants, only unbound bilirubin matters (it can enter the brain), and the correlation is low to no. Another example is free PSA versus total PSA. You guessed it, free PSA measurement has value, and total PSA is mediocre. Please do a better job. This is the 21st century. Let’s practice medicine like it is.

    Dr. Malik, I really enjoy watching your videos and your dedication to providing us with sound science backed information. But I do wish you would also disclose who funded each of these studies because that can provide a more informative context for the results provided. While the scientific method is sound, that does not mean that hidden agendas and funding cannot affect the results. There are dozens of examples of this in the literature including in major publications.

I have always been natural but have made an appointment to see about TRT. I do have some brain fog and am losing muscle. Not very much sex drive any more. How would TRT effect my LDL? My doctor is putting me on meds to erode the calcium build up. Would it be wise to do the TRT?.
