I just ordered the Gray Meanie version sort of on a whim, as my first analog and first any kind of modular synth. The more videos I watch the happier I get that I ordered it lol. It seems like an awesome piece of kit to have, to then pair with more modular/semi modular things over time. But more than anything it seems like a really good platform so start on - forcing yourself to learn the stuff properly. Can't wait!! Thanks for putting up this content.
@@tomnoise23 Yeah I've seen the term Eurocrack being used quite a bit lol. VCV Rack gave me the first taste. And the cost of hardware modules... sheeeesh. But when you really think about it, who _really_ needs a home? I hear fresh air is good for you.
@@tomnoise23 tell me about it, I ordered a gray meanie from germany(I'm in the usa), two days later I ordered a second one, and now I'm looking at the 2500 modules to expand it...
you all prolly dont care at all but does someone know of a way to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the password. I love any assistance you can give me.
Awesome demo! Im a dfam lover and wanting to ad a second dfam.....but the 2600 has me tempted at the same price point. Then I could get some more patching variety.
Absolutely! That's why i ordered it in the first place. The triggering behaviour of the envelopes from external gates is a bit special though. And the switch circuit can't be synced to external triggers, which is a pity. But, you'll get a lot of functionality for the price, to add to a eurorack system.
I would rather add more functionality through a different synth. Maybe something like a Dreadbox Erebus V3 or a Pittsburgh Modular Synth could be useful to add.
Thanks for making these. Hands down the most fun synth I own!
This synth is a huge but affordable playground ... great video!

Yeah it’s a great piece of gear to start into the Eurorack world. But beware, Eurorack modules are highly addictive 😁

Thanks a lot for this. I'm waiting for my brand new B2600 and... you are opening my eyes !! :)
One of Vince Clarke’s favorite ways for making percussion.

@Darwin Idris Instablaster ;)
Thanks for posting this. Sadly my finances cant stretch to a hardware 2600 but I've had hours of fun recreating it on the Arturia 2600V.
Hey, my pleasure. Nice that you found it useful
Amazing
Love your sound expirience 😊👍
Thanks 🙏
Wow … never would have thought of that … polyrhythms …
cool ☺️👍
Thanks m8

That’s funny. I want to add a dfam at some point 🙂
Fantastic!
Thanks a lot!
Should do a series of videos devoted to the sounds of Jean Michel Jarré, Depeche Mode, Skinny Puppy and Stevie Wonder
Interesting.... I will try it with the 5 lfo's of an hydrasynth.... Thanks ;-)
Not sure if that works. Can you route the lfo output to audio in the hydrasynth?
Would this lend itself to implementation with eurorack ... I mean, would this be a great piece to have for adding to eurorack or not....???

Thank you for your time and your responce....
@@tomnoise23 the barp puts out way too much voltage for eurorack, careful!
This is a tool box that flies! Waiting for mine and considering if 2 would be overkill? =)

Using a Pittsburgh SV-1 Lifeforms with the 2600 is a great combo…. Voltage Lab would add a whole other favor. ;)
@@Kkidzz oh yeah, i have a Lifeforms SV1 as well. But the voltage lab is on my list. Someday ... :)
I'm adding the koma electronik field kit fx soon!
Nice man!!
Thanks and merry christmas (almost) ;-)
