What if the instructions says : don't use more than two words; and the answer is car park. But I wrote park. Am I wrong?

if the Q says ( one word ), then aren't (an, the, a), counted as an extra word? so (an alternative) wrong as it not following the instruction?

Hello! Just dropping by to thank E2 IELTS team for the amazing content they put on UA-cam. Got my results today. Took the exam last Oct 1 and got 8.0 in speaking, 7.5 in reading, 7.0 in writing, and 8.5 in listening (overall bandscore of 8.0). I only had 1 week to prepare for the test since I'm very busy with work in the hospital. Nevertheless, I passed. I just listened to whatever Jay and the other members of the channel said while preparing for the day, cooking, eating, washing the dishes, doing the laundry, bathing, etc. I was very nervous about the speaking part since English is not my primary language but I remembered what Jay said in one of the videos, that is, to treat the examiner as a friend. That thought helped me calm down during the exam and so I was able to speak clearly and properly. Thank you again and more power to the team! For everyone who will take the test, good luck! :)

Just got my academic results today! It was motivating to see other people's results so here you go! Listening: 8, Reading: 7, Writing: 6.5, Speaking:8, overall: 7.5, it's not that hard to be honest if you practice well. I was so nervous and couldn't sleep the night before but once you sit down and make the tests you realize that it's not that bad and that it's a bit easier than practice exams. This was the case for me at least but i did practice a lot as well.
Can you suggest me sister that how can I do practice of writing..i send you message with the hope that you help me 🙏🙏

Thank you so much jay. This is to encourage everyone who are scared. If I can do it, you can even do it better because English isn’t my thing especially when it comes to writing essay and reading. I was giving so many materials to prepare myself for the ielts but they were just to complex for me.. one day as I was browsing out some channels on UA-cam, I came across jay channel and his way of teachings really helped me out. He’s the best teacher so far when it comes to breaking things down to your level. I only had two weeks to prepare and I only watched lots of jays videos even despite watching his videos, I wasn’t really that serious due to work but I did apply all his teachings and I got band 7 score and that’s all I needed. If an unserious fellow like me can do it, you can do it even better.
When i took my IELTS here in South Africa,while in the waiting room there were about 20 people having a conversation and they were talking about how good Jay is. It's amazing how your work has impacted so many people. And I'm definitely sure they'd recommend it to someone else because it was just good comments

Just need to come back to give a review of my experience using E2 videos to prepare for my Ielts. I got 8 overall with 9 in listening, 8 in reading, 7.5 in writing and 8 in speaking. It was my first time taking it but I used about a month to prepare. Watched almost all of the videos here and followed the tips that were recommended. Thanks you E2 team.

When you don’t know the answer to a question, mark it (someway) instead of leaving it blank. Especially in paper based Ielts. This way, you save yourself from making a mistake of filling an answer of next question in place of previous question, to which, you don’t know the answer. This mistake has snowball effect and get you wrong answers to next 4-5 questions.
My reading sections were all easy espicially thanks to your tips also on True/False/Not Given! You are a lifesaver sir.

@@shadykhatri5668 Actually it was a bit difficult relative to Cambridge books especially section 3 but no worries you will ace if you properly manage your time. Remember skim reading is the key and it would be so helpful (not for every type of question)

I had my ielts on 10th, usually it's not in my nature to comment but I've to now as Jay and Alex had been very helpful. I just had 14 days to prepare and I scored L = 7.5, R = 7, W = 6 and S = 7, overall = 7 which weren't possible with them. Thank you so much

Try to conquer your FEARS to a great extent.
Use all his materials.
Make SURE to rehearse with the practice materials on UA-cam.
Look at the score ratings, it’ll help you have an idea what to target.
Familiarize with all questions types.
Remember you can’t cheat, so you have to be fully ready…

Jay, I just got my results and I passed well. I followed all your instructions and praticed regularly. If you are taking the test, I advise that you focus on Jay because many ielts videos out there will get you confused.

I appeared for IELTS on 11 August and received my result a month ago. I got 8.5 band score in reading. 8 band in listening, 7.5 in writing and 6.5 in speaking. Overall 7.5 band. And this was my first attempt

Hi E2 Ielts! I scheduled my IELTS academic last August 27 and took it Sept 3. For a week of self-review, I just binge watched your videos and took down tips most especially for the writing part. It was my first try and prayed to get the band score I need. After 4 days,I got my results (L:7.5,R 7.5,W 7.5,S 8.5) with band 8 overall. 3 years ago, I took the academic test and got 9 R , 9 L , 6.5 W and 7 S. Took the general test a week ago and got 8.5 R, 9 L , 7.5 W and 8.5 S; Overall band score was 8.5!!

Hello, is article considered a word in reading? For example if it's said in instruction write only one word, can we write an alternative then or we need to write alternative just? Thanks in advance

Here's my question regarding Matching Headings. Can two answers be in one paragraph?
For example: can heading 1 and 3 answers be in the same paragraph/statement?

Got Speaking 8.0, listening 7.5, Reading and Writing 7.0, Total Band score of 7.5. I was disappointed with my listening though, I was confident that I'd get an 8.0 haha. :)
It's so absurd u got 8 in Speaking yet somewhat lower in Listening. Was the listening part harder than the ones u practiced via Cambridge Booklets?
