If I can make a suggestion, always use a high powered vacuum, instead of compressed air when clearing cutting or grinding chips around a engine. I hope that helps.
T.S. RACING
Inspired by you guys, I decided to take an apprenticeship at a custom bike shop here in Hawaii during my transition out of the military. Worked on my first M8 today to take off the valve covers for powder coating. I'll just say that the top valve cover bolts on the rear cylinder are a bitch to get to in order to take them off.
Still debating if I want a bike with an M8 in the future. I'm pretty comfortable with my twin cam 103 with S&S 551 cams.

nice touque wrench tip. I'vve been telling people for years to always zero their their torque wrench when they are done using it.
I used to zero my wrenches and then got hired by an aircraft manufacturer. Our current engineering protocol is to return the wrench to its lowest setting and leave slight tension on it. Whatever that's worth.
I like the tip about not using a torque wrench as low as 5 ft. Lbs., & instead converting that to in. Lbs. & running it in the middle range of the smaller torque wrench, instead of bottom-bottom range of the (probably) 3/8” torque wrench- where it’s not too accurate. 🤙🏻

I’m looking into doing this kit to my 107 in sport glide. Will I be able to use my current TBR exhaust on the 124 in kit or need to buy another pipe?

We have adjustable push rods because we have Aftermarket Cams

I got a fxlrs. Lookin to do a big bore kit but heard the 131 kits are super thin cylinder walls compromising reliability/ longevity or some shit. What kit you think I should go with that’s guna give me more power but still be reliable?
We made more power than every 131 on the track with this 124. It’s not how big the motor is the tower motors build that makes power

What compression on that build? I’m fixen to do a 124 on my 19 RG. Already have the S&S 475cam, pump and plate but leaning on a 10.75 compression kit

Why did you choose the S&S 550 over the 590? Just wondering if the 550 was free or there was other logic.
590 is way too big of a cam for what we are setting up.
550 is already a huge cam for this. That’s why the compression is so high on this motor

Y did you have to shave the Finns didn't s&s know the pushrods needed to fit in there makes me think the kit wasn't made for the m8 or s&s just sucks and produced r&d
