How much forward growth of the maxilla should I expect to achieve with the DNA? I need all of the forward growth of my maxilla as I can get. At what amount does it become unrealistic to expect to achieve?
@@SereneOrthodontics Awesome, I definitely fall into the very underdeveloped maxilla category. My only other concern is with finding a great provider. Based on what I’ve seen with your channel, a quality provider can really make or break the quality of the treatment. I have a feeling that the bite plane of the appliance will make a big difference in the success of my treatment. Do you find that you have to make frequent adjustments to the bite plane as the palate continues to slowly expand?

My biggest concern is with achieving harmonious expansion. Would you say it’s fairly likely for a slightly below average provider to exacerbate facial asymmetry? Or does the device work well enough with the natural functionality of the tongue and facial muscles that it can compensate for a not-so-great dentist?

I was also curious, do you approach treatment in a particular way when someone has an underbite that has been camouflaged by childhood orthodontic treatment? This has caused my bite and jaw to be quite asymmetrical, also causing a lateral open bite on my left side. Do you think I’d likely be a good candidate for the DNA appliance?
@@acardinalconsideration2436 I think a DNA or Homeoblock should work great. It’s possible that you may need some post treatment orthodontics After the expander.

We can never guarantee, but we see people get 6mm all the time if the needed myofunctional therapy, lip and tongue tie releases are done.

Not exactly but sort of..we charge $500 but it gets put towards our appliance therapy if treatment is done.
