In a bigger room, this mic sounds amazing on overhead. You get a sense of the space in the room but the drums still sound very well defined in the center of the stereo field. Good for denser productions that still warrant a "big" drum sound.
Hi, great video. I have a BM5 myself that I use for overheads as well. I am curious about the microphone mount that you have to yours. Is it an original, because I have never seen on like that. Is it original, or something custom-made? I live in Copenhagen, so I have seen lots of these mics, but never this mount. Thanks Frederik
I guess the 5 pin DIN to 2 x 3 pin XLR came in the box right? I just got myself one of these but the cable inside is 5 pin DIN in both ends, andi cant figure out how im supposed to get sound out of that... help ? :)
Hey there! So yes this cable came with it but I’ve also used other DIN cables with these. One of the ends of your DIN cable will need to be converted to two separate XLR’s. Or you can buy a stereo 5 pin to XLR cable. Find me on Instagram and message me if you have any more questions or need help!

Great Mic. I love my AEA R88. Stereo Ribbons are magic.

you've got my old ludwig in the corner~
Great sound. The Raw recording could be tweaked with EQ which is something Ribbon mic's can accommodate much better than condensors. Thanks.
Sounds great! What kind of hats are you using in this video?
I actually prefer it to the Coles 😱
Yes. It's more alive and "there".
