I just started Kendo 5 months ago and looking at improving my general sparring. Coming from hand to hand martial arts its a whole new world trying to figure out openings, defence etc. These breakdown videos are awesome because you slow them and explain the situation 🙏🏼
Thank you for the feedback, I think you are right, maybe some things I can still share in shorts but this is better to allow for replay and of course the field of view helps! Thank you again.
I am totally struggling with men suriage men. I grasp the concept but I just cant make it work in jigeiko or shiai. Nice kaeshi do video, thanks. I find that I need to keep the distance up, make my opponent feel closer than he actually is, to make it work. Also straight posture, no leaning in to the doh - and footwork on the spot without coming forward too much before the waza.

Yup, just a good tip to have in mind, the better your opponent the better you can take it with respect, you are nobody without a good opponent

Nice! Thank you for the support!
Thank you so much for the video! I'm just doing kendo and my senpai wanted to show me this technique))
Awesome, let me know if there’s something you struggle with and I could get some ideas on what to focus on for future videos.
