I am actually the one who designed the egg, and I can confirm that it`s made of an unobtanium-vibranium alloy that can only be manufactured in space, specifically the free space in people`s craniums, we therefore have to thank Elon for cooperating and sharing the secrets of how he invented space travel, and a huge shoutout to Rick&Morty for making the scanning device that lets us look at people`s heads and see who has the most available space, making them candidates for our EHS (empty head system) program.
It has really been great to see so many people enjoying our nuclear egg, as well as our Huusk knives.
Again, big thanks to Elon and Zuck for making this all possible, we couldn`t have done it without you.
      And Huusk knives..

Home services are 240 volts (nominal) and 200 amps would be the panel rating of a modern home. Not unreasonable. I don't have a problem with the 200 amps stated, but he should have also said the kw. The issue I have is that we don't use continuous power. So how are we going to control the reaction power to match our load use? Oh yeah, AI should take care of that. :)

200a service is at 240v, that means the reactor would be a MINIMUM 24kw of heat in a home, you would not want that inside your domicile outside of the arctic circle(and even then that much heat would have to be dynamically dissipated partly outside
this is granting 100% thermal to electrical conversion, basically impossible right now
at best getting a 24kw reactor to operate leaves you with 100kw of waste heat, a dangerous amount to have at all inside a domicile in any part of the world without carefully maintained heat venting
and a reactor that size would NOT be merely the size of a human, the reactor CORE might be that small, but the shielding to not kill you would be at least 10x that size
I am not even a nuclear engineer and I could tell you "the egg" is 100% bullshit in every spec they give
the only way to have a home-sized reactor(200a service) is to have a full GARAGE sized structure OUTSIDE with a source of emergency cooling water nearby that takes up ~10x the space of the reactor building
and this ignores that 90% of the time 90% of that 200a(24kw) is going to be unused
maybe a 20a(~4,800w constant) reactor could fit within a sub-basement chamber of a typical american home with all the REQUIRED safety gear
and have enough room for the massive 100kwh battery array and 24kw 240v invertor array to stabilize your reactor to a constant load while allowing for a variable load home
I would not mind such a setup in my McMansion, a small reactor with automated self-stabilized and self-secured safety systems acting like a DC hydroelectric turbine source of 1000-4000w
I use 1000-1500w average by myself with many days spent away from home, a 2000w reactor(probably 10,000w thermal rating) would be fine if fully vented outside(my place is hot and I deal poorly with heat)
but a 200a 240v reactor would be something akin to a WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD reactor, a real practical non-nuisance job for your HOA to maintain the building that houses the reactor and safety equipment
the problem with ideas like this is assuming the service capacity s the average load, it NEVER is
most devices in homes are old-fashioned thermostatic-reactive devices
heating/hvac is a CONSTANT speed that simply turns on and off as needed so the average is the required to keep you comfortable(often AC systems are up to 5x oversized in older homes too)
water heaters are the same, especially tankless systems, only heating water(the biggest energy task in any home beyond even air heating) when you are needing it heated(the tanked systems are remarkably efficient and only pull the full 4800w if you empty the entire tank of hot water and only for a few hours max)
basically a 200a 240v reactor would be belching useless heat constantly as it would be unable to ramp fast enough to keep up with load variances due to PHYSICS
but a 4800w reactor and a 24kw solar battery+invertor setup without the panels? yeah it would fulfill your needs for the lifetime of the fuel
sadly microreactors lead to security issues and idiots in control of nuclear devices would be an apocalypse begging to happen
the best solution is, WOAH, large reactor plants properly inspected and maintained by actual nuclear experts and using the power grid and hydro-pump storage to vary supply rapidly, funny that
1: rebuild TMI and a few other reactors near large existing reservoirs
2: ban non-experts from making decisions about operation beyond emergency safety plans they are not allowed to modify
3: force regular maintenance inspections by actual experts
4: add pumped hydro/new energy storage innovations like the "rust battery" to provide a decoupling of reactor state from load so it can ramp safely
and boom, cheap clean safe power for hundreds or thousands of years
nuclear when properly designed and maintained is 100% safe and clean, the operators even have safety thresholds and devices to keep them safe with a margin that is actually beyond the danger zone just for extra safety
I want my nuclear power if we aren't able to delete fossil fuels at all as a legal option for mass power(fuck you oil barons suck my green glowing oil-free cock :P )
nuclear is remarkably stable, the ONLY downside is actually the ramp speed, which can be compensated in multiple ways if we centralize power infrastructure management(ie force them all to communicate and adjust based on the needs of others)
1: solar boilers are super stable and can compensate for daytime loads(and even act as batteries by resistive heating the boilers when the reactors need to burn power off)
2: hydropower can likely easily add pump-storage via excavated chambers if required
3: iron based electrochemical batteries are an innovation that could be useful in grid-scale storage as they already have land that could be dual-purposed to hold the cells

I suppose that if the shielding and power output were in the right ballpark, a properly qualified reactor operator could monitor a big array of nuclear "eggs." Having a common form factor would mean that you could mass produce the "shells." But, unless there's some kind of bigger on the inside magic going on, it would probably be cheaper to build a conventional nuclear reactor at the right scale. Smaller is not always better. 🤷‍♂

Boron carbide/beryllium oxide rotating drum assemblies are used for space flight reactors in nuclear rocket engines for controlling the power output. Traditional control rods won't work because the heat and pressure would jam the mechanics.

    enron egg schematic
The "Enron Egg" is actually a parody product created by the company Enron as part of an elaborate joke. The concept is a compact nuclear reactor designed for residential use, which supposedly uses Uranium-Zirconium Hydride (U-ZrH) fuel rods to generate heat through nuclear fission. This heat would then be transferred via a 3D-printed heat exchanger to power a turbine and generate electricity1.
However, it's important to note that the Enron Egg is not a real product and was created as a humorous take on the company's infamous history. The relaunch of Enron and the introduction of the Enron Egg were intended as a parody and should not be taken seriously1.

What's your opinion on brilliant light power? Also, how do they get away with selling hydride? I thought that was a weapons grade material you have to use a particle collider to make it. Bob Lazar made some so he can run a Corvette. So my guess is they use that to absorb the hydrogen for the plasma nuclear reaction or whatever they're doing

You can go from amps to watts pretty easy. I'd assume 110 and 200 Amps. 22 KW. Maybe Enronium is some version of Aerogel doped with a metmaterial to refract radiation. I think it was clever and got the umagination rolling.
