Hi mark love the videos couldn’t live without them I’m 12 years old I got 2 trucks myself an 86 r700 and a 89 international 9300 everything I’ve learned have been from you keep up the good work👌👌
So I’m the person who purchased the Freightliner cabover. It had a broken clutch break. And I think it needs an injector but I haven’t had enough time to really drive it very far. Once I got it home I had it running in about an hour. Oh and the shifter doesn’t have a cable it just wasn’t locked 👍🏼
I live in my flat top 389 5 days a week & wouldn’t trade it for a high rise. I like the coziness of it & how I can black out the bunk if I want to sleep & it’s bright out. Tks for the videos Mark. I’m gonna do a follow up video of the ‘58 Kenworth my boss bought that you toured a few years ago. 🤙🏼
That yellow 04 pete is an ice road truck from the nwt. I ran with the old owner a few times and i was with him when he came around the corner on one of the lakes and hit the brakes to avoid a caribou in the road and jacknifed pulling empty hoppers. There was also a hole in the bunk where the the headache rack hit. He said it was a fresh rebuild cat that was turned up but my wore out mack had no trouble keeping up
I’ve been watching your channel since day one TS and I have to say I appreciate everything you do. It’s inspiring and a heck of a journey to witness. Thanks for taking the time and putting forth the effort to share the journey!
I learned how to drive in my Dad’s ‘62 Ford pickup that had a three on the tree when I was 11 years old. That was 49 years ago and I nearly fell out of the truck when the door popped open while I was driving. Ah the memories. 😊
Myself I prefer the old flat glass and flat top trucks like my 84 w900 you just can't beat them keep up the good work brother and keep on trucking my friend
Mark, of all your movie references I don't ever recall you mentioning the 1998 "Black Dog" movie with Patrick Swayze. Or have I just missed it? Either way, It has to be my personal favorite in that category.
I LOVE that movie. It was one of the first trucking movies I saw as a kid. I still quote it all the time and no one gets the references. “I shouldn’t drink apple juice, it gives me gas.”
Take it CCC trucking gone bankrupt or something alot of there plant at one auction The black CCC Trucking one with the lockers on the headache rach looks minty definitely be my choose
34:43 My dad had a cab over Freightliner that was a 1993 Scales fleet tractor back in 1995. My dad was an old school trucker for sure, most everything he owned was a cab over especially in the old days when they were length laws, even his company trucks were cabovers until the first conventional he drove was a day cab Kenworth, which was literally the last truck he drove before he retired. That cab over Freightliner from Scales he got had the same kind of interior as that one you're checking out and it became my daily driver doing intrastate runs in Florida. I was hoping he was gonna get one of these kind like this one with a stand up bunk back then.
I think it is great to watch you do actions. Those are some of my favorite episodes. That is actually what got me into your channel. If I ever do a UA-cam channel, I will probably be like every other truck UA-cam channel and copy and still your Ideas. There has to be 1000 of truck UA-cam channels. And a lot of them are all kinda of the same. But you do actions which is great. Thank you for doing these walk around. I was really hoping you would have bought that Freightliner "pork chops express". When I was a kid I liked that movie because of that truck.
Thanks Mark for showing us most of the big trucks at the auction. some went for 7,000 cheaper than a new ford truck.. buy a big rig and a 800.00 car and go with-it..
IMO, the Coronado is the last glimpse of what Freightliner used to be. I don't love the Coronado but compared to the endless Cascadiastans driving around, seeing a Coronado does make me smile a little. I don't think it's any more or less offensive than the new Peterbilt 589.
I used to love those Freightliner Columbia when I first got into trucking! Most had 9NZ C15 or some had C16 and you could get them for $15,000. A lot had the Eaton autoshift and the autoshift would go bad so they'd sell them cheap. I'd buy it, remove the autoshift and put a regular shifter top plate on the trans and make it a full manual. When they broke down you just bought another! I had about 5. The interior was garbage and the wiring worse, but they had a pretty good driveline and were really comfortable with parabolic front springs and Neway from factory.
Would you consider doing a video on like what amount of money you invested into a truck say like snowman please, you did an outstanding job doing it and I look forward to watching your progress but was just interested I guess on what something like that cost when you do most of it by yourself. Thanks and please keep up the good work
Loved the weathered long-nose Kenny. On Cablecraft shift cables: it’s possible to drill and install grease zerks then use a grease gun to force decent quantities of lube into them. Not done it myself but apparently it’s quite a common fix for old and seizing Cablecraft installations on Foden S10L7s and 4000 Series that were similarly blighted with them 😆
Flat tops are definitely cooler. But I also only stay in the truck 20 nights in a year. Mines is also only a 36 inch bunk. But also I think that also makes it cooler. I've got window covers that attach with suction cups so I can change with the curtains open. Also keeps it warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.
Those Coronados, apart from being garbage and ONLY available with a Detroit, had SO MUCH ROOM in the cab! The high roof had a compartment above the windscreen that you could run chickens in if so inclined! I couldn't get over the cupboard space and all the hidey holes.
Hi Mark & Mrs.Twin Stick & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Mark & Mrs.Twin Stick & Friends & Randy & Super Cool Video Mark Thanks Friends Randy
Hey, so that is a 378 because it has a fiberglass hood. The 379 is an aluminum hood short hood or long hood. If you want to do the the little big hood conversion you need to make sure you buy a 379 short hood w aluminum hood
Howard the duck volvo wia64t . i love that truck i wish it was the none aero hood version i think would be wil64t , anyway thats what i learned to drive in
Hi Mark, love seeing what is on offer at auction over the other side of the world. Just wondering why so many of you guys over there want to drop all the air out of the air suspension seats. Might as well remove the seat altogether and just bolt a lump of steel for a seat. After spending nigh on 40 years driving rigs my back is stuffed even with good air ride seats. We typically run KW's, Macks and euro rigs over here, hard to find a Pete here. As for flat tops, not a big thing over here for long distance drivers.
That black pete with the stripes and the C15 was shutting down of whatever that check engine light is. My dads old c15 would shut itself down in an instant with low enough oil pressure, or if the ECM saw another issue. some companies will add timers to keep down on idle, but I definitely feel like that one shut down bec of a issue.
I don’t care about the improved aerodynamics of moving the air filter under the hood I like the looks of them where the good Lord intended them to be and that also includes split flat windshields
To idle up a C15 you press the speed increase button on the cruise control. If it doesn't have cruise control you have to open the door periodically and blip the throttle. It's a bitch when you're unloading grain through the grain chute for an hour or so and the truck keeps shutting down.
Hi Mark, any chance you could overdub Fred barking on your intro as you drive past in Snowman. My son does the bark every time and always asks me why it’s not there. It would make his day next Thursday if it happened. Thanks. Love your work. James
Yeah starting to see that on newer trucks with DPF … you can also spot it from behind on the inside of the stack at the top where one is all carbined up and the other is shiny stainless 😂

You’re 12 and you have two frickin trucks?
Alright! Good start to my Thursday, looking at unaffordable toys.
Love the on the hunts. Like seeing the older trucks and just how much they have changed thru the years.
Green kenworth bumper cut matches the visor. Nice touches I can appreciate
Oof that green. Can you imagine sitting in there for extended periods and waking up to it daily? I couldn’t.
I know it's hideous
throwin in a clip from Howard the Duck...nice!
Lime green has Brampton written all over it.

@@TwinStixI love the flat tops.....but get that 990 out of here!!!...come to America.....the Midwest is crawling with deals
Is it really an Argosy?
Of all the trucks their I wood rather have little by little way cool truck easy to work on and no def iam all about old trucks you you got the best😊
I'd like to see you build a Black Dog 379 from the movie with Patrick Swayze and Randy Travis. Cool old Pete used in that movie.
the black 379 would make a good black dog themed truck
I live in my flat top 389 5 days a week & wouldn’t trade it for a high rise. I like the coziness of it & how I can black out the bunk if I want to sleep & it’s bright out. Tks for the videos Mark. I’m gonna do a follow up video of the ‘58 Kenworth my boss bought that you toured a few years ago. 🤙🏼
Mrs. Twin Sticks would look good in that Limo .
Cheers from upstate NY! Keep these videos rolling they are very enjoyable to watch!!

It drives me when they put them stickers on the headlights!! That green KW sold pretty cheap I thought. Nice work on the vidja buddy
Good an you?

32:01 you don’t need to worry about the Bluetooth filler neck
awsome video mark thumbs up and shared

Add 10 years and a long hood, and that's what we're talking about!
I like mine just fine especially with the big kitty cat in it
I’ve got a 02 with 6nz 18 speed flat glass. I kinda like my ole truck
@@michaeljestice4234 as long as you like what you are driving it don't matter what you have just keep enjoying it my friend

Hey Mark that lime green w900 it's oil pressure is normal isx run high volume low pressure.

I love in the hunt episodes
Really like the video luv looking at all the trucks 🚛🚛🚛 thank you
Twinsticks to idle up some of the early 2000s trucks turn on and set the cruise control for higher idles.
The flat nose white kw would be super cool with a box on the back for camping in

Dig the auction walk around with the prices. Make me salivate and think “maybe…”
Good ol howard the duck lol.
cruise control on, speed up on the accel/decel button to idle up and down. Press the clutch to stop
Thanks Mark for showing us most of the big trucks at the auction. some went for 7,000 cheaper than a new ford truck.. buy a big rig and a 800.00 car and go with-it..
The driver stack not hooked up is the "driver comfort" option, it actually cost extra, best part is they also charge extra if you want it hooked up
IMO, the Coronado is the last glimpse of what Freightliner used to be. I don't love the Coronado but compared to the endless Cascadiastans driving around, seeing a Coronado does make me smile a little. I don't think it's any more or less offensive than the new Peterbilt 589.

Nice a new twin sticks video
Love a good 'On The Hunt', last one was blessed with ole' peggin' leggin'

Hi idle on the cruise control
Flat tops certainly do look cool, and are fine for long haul, I didn't have any trouble with them.
That’s cause you’re cool 👍
End of the movie of Howard, the duck
on the green w 900 those are chops on the door the speaker by the drivers seat is the c.b. external speaker
Howard the duck . Cool … lol .
Howard the Duck. I thought I was the only one that remembered. lol.
I’m with you I love the flat top look! U gotta set the cruise control and the timer won’t shut it off
Flat tops are definitely cooler. But I also only stay in the truck 20 nights in a year. Mines is also only a 36 inch bunk. But also I think that also makes it cooler. I've got window covers that attach with suction cups so I can change with the curtains open. Also keeps it warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.
The engine light and low coolant will make it shut down
Those Coronados, apart from being garbage and ONLY available with a Detroit, had SO MUCH ROOM in the cab! The high roof had a compartment above the windscreen that you could run chickens in if so inclined! I couldn't get over the cupboard space and all the hidey holes.
If you turn on the cruise control and either press the fuel pedal and press the Resume, you might be able to up the idle overriding the auto-shutdown.
Great video a lot cool trucks , that clip is from Howard The Duck .
That light on the black truck means it's low on coolant
I agree with you Mark I would duck my head to look cool.
You should have known when you looked at the oil pressure it was a Cummins😊
All the Alberta Clay!! 🤣🤣LoL!!!✌
Hi Mark & Mrs.Twin Stick & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Mark & Mrs.Twin Stick & Friends & Randy & Super Cool Video Mark Thanks Friends Randy
When I started driving in 1985
We had flattop trucks
With sit in sleeper
No walk in
And that was plenty of room for us back then
New generation’s gone soft 😂
Love the videos. From the looks of it that black flat top 389 didnt have the stack hooked up
2:44 that is from bill and Ted’s excellent adventure right?
Hey, so that is a 378 because it has a fiberglass hood. The 379 is an aluminum hood short hood or long hood. If you want to do the the little big hood conversion you need to make sure you buy a 379 short hood w aluminum hood
I like the pipes with the flaps on them,I'm old school 🚸 😊😊
Mark hi from Yorkshire England sitting with the air seat right on the floor after some time it will take its toll on your back 😢
Howard the duck volvo wia64t . i love that truck i wish it was the none aero hood version i think would be wil64t , anyway thats what i learned to drive in
Use cruise control to set high idle.
You have to turn cruise on and hit the set button a couple of times to get it to idle up
The turbo timers have override to allow extended idle and usually have 1,3 and 5 minute idle times at the push of a button.
Howard the duck love that movie
Lol Howard the duck. I haven't seen that in yrs

The Pete designer that penned the cool 70s & 80s paint jobs was Winslow Moore
Flat top sleeper is the only way to go for a kenworth peterbilt or western star oh 7000 to hock up the diver side pipe what I was told at kenworth
That vinyl floored truck smells, could it be that coffee cup left in it? 😂😂
you idle up these newer trucks by setting the cruise
I don’t care about the improved aerodynamics of moving the air filter under the hood I like the looks of them where the good Lord intended them to be and that also includes split flat windshields
I like 👍 18 wheeler 🚛 I think 🤔 they are so neet you have a great day hunting a truck 🛻
Sure would be nice to see lbl fire up i mean its warm and all lol mark keep on keeping on brother
I’m really gonna lean into LBL now and not stop till it’s in paint 👍
The only advantage to the fake stack is it helps the chrome stay clean because the DEF corrodes the other exhaust and tarnishes the pipe.
Man, i see on the hunt i can't click fast enough.
Don’t be that guy that sits in the seat with no air. What’s next, driving with no shoes?
Agree. I always preferred being up where I had good visibility and let the air seat absorb some of the bumps instead of sitting hard on the floor.
2004 lime green is about the same color as Chad Keegans Frankenstein. But he's sanded and primed it already. Have not seen where that's going.
Good morning bud✌️✌️
I live in my flat top 5 days a week. I wish it was like the tents in Harry Potter.
To idle up a C15 you press the speed increase button on the cruise control. If it doesn't have cruise control you have to open the door periodically and blip the throttle. It's a bitch when you're unloading grain through the grain chute for an hour or so and the truck keeps shutting down.
You got to idle it up turn on the cruise control
you could get a 379 with a short hood
Hi Mark, any chance you could overdub Fred barking on your intro as you drive past in Snowman. My son does the bark every time and always asks me why it’s not there. It would make his day next Thursday if it happened. Thanks. Love your work. James
CC IS SALING ALOT OF RIGS , and some not old at all . Hopefully not going out of business 😊
Name that movie, that was one of my favorites. Howard the Duck
howard the duck at the end.
Turn ignition on, wait for idiot lights to cycle then go off then proceed to start.
Hi Mark & is The Truck Black Dog Movies & Friends Randy
Howard, The Duck, 🎵🎶🎹
4:05 are the stacks dummy stacks? It looks like they don't connect to anything underneath
Yeah starting to see that on newer trucks with DPF … you can also spot it from behind on the inside of the stack at the top where one is all carbined up and the other is shiny stainless 😂
I do long haul with a 48” flat top not practical at all 😂😂
That green w9 needs to go to a scrap yard
