Reya Reports: Midge Ure on David Bowie, Prince and "contrived" Beyonce

Midge Ure, the icon behind 80s band Ultravox, co-creator of Live Aid, Band Aid and Live 8 with Bob Geldolf, and the man behind two of the biggest selling records of all time 'Feed The World' & 'Vienna' has announced he's to perform in London as part of a new tour.
The musician is planning to play a selection of material from every album he's ever recorded - right from his time in the Rich Kids, through to Visage and Ultravox, and his latest solo album, 'Fragile' for the 'Something from Everything' tour.

Good point about emotional content missing in the songwriting-by-committee, paint-by-numbers pop hits. Wish she could’ve asked him as a follow-up about the difference between that and collaboration or collaborative songwriting that happens in bands.
