The OLED is going make a significant improvement to my workflow............a real game changer........for me - all the other little issues with the Deluge are minimal by comparison
Well I guess - I've waited this long (had my Deluge for quite a few years now), so if I have to wait a little longer for such an amazing upgrade, it will be well worth it......
Its great but I am having issue with craeting and renaming Kits and even building them as I always. reat blank one instead of the one I am editting. I am a novice but thougth that navigating will be much easier tbh. Looking forward to more videos from you on that if possible. But I agree, sometimes I thing the machine is dead but instead there is nithing to display I guess..
Great idea. I’ll put together a quick kit and synth creation video. Been playing with those new Cuckoo samples, so have plenty of great fodder to work with.
Have you tried adjusting the refresh rate of the Deluge pads? From section 14.3 of the manual: ▌ SETTING DELUGE USER INTERFACE REFRESH RATE 1. Press & hold [CLIP] + turn (SELECT). 2. Adjust until the flickering as observed through the camera or device has gone or been reduced. Settings above 200 and below 8 are NOT recommended as this may affect visual performance. 3. Settings are not saveable so this would need to be changed per filming session.
Seems to be a waiting time as I need not only an oled screen but microphone repair, both the inbuilt mic and mic socket are faulty, 4 year old Deluge. Beautiful instrument though.
Sorry to hear, but hopefully your service experience goes as well as mine. They were great to deal with and glad they continue to offer such strong support for their instrument.
The midi capabilities of the Deluge exceed a lot of devices in its class. You can record un-quantized MIDI from an external device to any track type, including recognition of pitch bend & mod wheel in addition to velocity and note commands. You can use MIDI to record automation over an existing track, and the Deluge also supports MPE and polyphonic aftertouch.
I think it actually plays both roles quite well. They've added so many features over the years though, most of the buttons already have multiple functions. The screen definitely helps future proof the device to an extent, and it definitely makes file management & navigation a lot easier on-device. I think it also might help newcomers from the Elektron and MPC worlds adapt easier to the workflow with the added visual feedback.

Agreed
Looks great, ordered mine but still waiting to be called
Same..............................can't wait (but I must)
Best of luck, gents. Your patience is worth it. Makes chaining modifiers so much easier to manage.
That makes 3 of us...! Hoping to get an email soooooooon!

Needs a whole new hardware control interface... The firmware has severely outgrown the hardware with three button combo functions...
Anybody know how to record the Deluge without it flashing on cameras. Tried playing with the frame rates on the camera but it still flashes. Thanks

@@monsterlogostudios I had a gold encoder start glitching a couple of years back, it was sent under warranty to a UK Deluge tech, who I knew.
Do you know if you can live record midi on it? As in unquantized?

A major part of it's attraction is not to be a menu led machine rather an instrument one plays.

the sd card that it uses, is it possible to view and edit the contents with a computer with a card reader or is it a proprietary format?
The SD card can be read/modified on any PC. Just a standard FAT32 formatted SD card with directories for Kits, Songs, Synths, Samples, etc.
