oof i respect the pricetag but its hard to justify when the PO costs 80 itself.

What is the model name of the scope?
It's the Soundwave III from digdugdiy: www.etsy.com/listing/1288791311/soundwave-iii-oled-audio-spectrum?show_sold_out_detail=1&ref=nla_listing_details
Yes Sir!
Thanks for this! I'd never used the sampler before and this was super helpful
Since this is your wheelhouse I have a mini lab mk3 will this adaptor work at a bridege with my mini lab? And my PO’s Is it even possible?
Yes, sir. You'll probably want to use the MIDI Control Center that came with the MiniLab mk3 to configure the MIDI messages to suit your needs, but they would definitely pair well together.
Very good! We'd like to feature you on our music blog!
Thank you! Send an email to promo@monsterlogostudios.com
Nice to see the woovebox and qunplaying together.
Can you trigger PO effects via midi using the Digitakt?
Yessir, you would just need to send two midi notes - one for the FX button itself, and another for the effect you want to use. The only thing you can’t control are the two A and B knobs.
Sounds great🔥🔥🔥
Really cool! Has a nice futuristic, dystopian vibe to it.
what a cool gadget! does this power the PO via USB as well?!
Unfortunately not. No built in power supply.
Hi! Are the samples royalty free? Are they able for commercial use?
Yessir
Seems like a really cool but at that point, why would you not just use FL studio and the other device? Who is this for? Someone who just likes the way the pocket operator processes sounds?
Great point and good questions. There are a growing number of minimalist live setups that incorporate products from Teenage Engineering, Elektron, and others. In that context, this is probably a welcome solution, but it's definitely a niche market.
Perhaps its due to a firmware update, but I have been playing on the Woovebox a few months after you, and no encoder issues at all. Looking forward to your next track. Although there's lots of unboxing/tutorial videos, I don't see too many videos of wb tunes.
"more features than interface" is a great description. I haven't touched the Qun but certainly true on the Woovebox
That's a really cool sound. Looking forward to checking out your other audio experiments. (And why did it take so long for YT to show me your channel? It's right down my street)
Will this work with headrush prime/core? Do you have any other 311 packs? Thanks!
This should be compatible with all HeadRush models, but I have had to reconfigure some of the scene-to-footswitch assignments for the smaller form factors.
exactly the kind of video I've been looking for, the Woovebox and the Qun Mk 2 working together
So glad you made this, I was wanting to pair these two since I discovered them earlier this year. I have the Qun and waiting on restock for woovebox. Honestly, I kind of wish there was a mashup between these two devices so very cool to see them working well together.
I’m a fm freak I’m gonna buy all three of these if I can get them prebuilt I’m not that handy I’m nervous about putting them together
How can one get an omx-27 if no soldering experience? We’re just excluded?
I really don't think the intent is to exclude anyone. I corresponded with the creator quite a bit when I ordered mine and he really cares about the customer experience. Also, now that the LEDs come pre-soldered (or so I've heard), this is a fairly simple project and a great first for anyone looking to learn - through-hole component soldering isn't the hardest and is a lot more forgiving than SMD. That said, you should reach-out on the contact page (denki-oto.weebly.com/contact.html#/) and see if he'd be willing to sell you a pre-made unit. If not, I might even be willing to help out if you purchased a unit and had it shipped direct to me. Reach out on my website and let's talk about options: monsterlogostudios.com/
are you the guy selling this on reverb atm lol
Haha, no. The OKX-27 is a keeper.
Well done!
My omx-27 is on it’s way! Loving the M8 and can’t wait to pair it up with the omx-27. Thanks for the high quality video
Congrats friend. That’s exciting.
Man I just wanted info but came away as a fan from that tasty jam. Thanks for both!
C'est incroyable ‼️‼️🙏🙏🙏
LEDs now pre-soldered it says on the kit's website, so less fiddly for us latecomers.
That’s a big help. Easily was the most time consuming part of the process.
Man, I just gotta say what a breath of fresh air in this video. I love your "moods and moments" approach. It's what I have always felt but failed to put into such a cohesive explanation. Amazing content brother. Keep it up.
Thank you for the support. This made my day.
@@monsterlogostudios hell yea!
Now that’s delicious!!!
How would this mic sound on vocals?
Depends on what you’re going for. Lofi for sure, very warm. Would def want to set it behind a pop filter of some kind and sing off axis since the capsule is exposed. I’ve never used it for vocals, but it would def have some character.
Dunno why but my sample changes the pitch whenever i try this, im trying to stretch up a 120 bpm sample into 140
I'm on ver 3.2.2
@@voidenterthehighlightswhat note are you entering in your phrase to trigger the loop? Maybe try correcting the pitch there by adjusting your note up/down.
@@HellenButterlips C1. It's just not working for me. Tried different samples but it just doesn't sound right
Can you post a picture of your Instrument Mods screen?
i have a Nunomo mk2 is crazy in depth Woovebox i hear is as well
So cool, but sold out 😢 Any other portable midi controllers, with a keyboard? built it perhaps, that go well with the M8?
Join the discord - when I bought, supplies were limited, but private links were shared as kits became available. The Korg Nanokey2 might be a decent alternative depending on which features your after. Korg, 25-Key Midi Controller (NANOKEY2BK),Black a.co/d/2aq1rPG
Awesome video. Thank you
Hypersynth is what you need to make those "cyberpunk" sounds. Gnarly 👌👌
🤖🎶🎵
I bought one last week. Not disappointed at all.
Just got the M8 and it's insane! Though the learning curve is steep in the beginning, does pay off to learn it well. Hope you'd make more vids like this :D
Thank you for the support! More vids on the way as time permits. Let me know if you have any specific requests.
@monsterlogostudios Making a drum beat from scratch, rythim and melody, applying effects/envelopes/lfos, so much to learn really 😅
@sarundayo A little bit of everything. I’ll see what I can do.
Does the sequencer allow you to shift notes off the grid?
Yes! You can shift the note left or right (0 to 99, with 50 being right on tempo) and adjust note length with the step attributes.
Love it!
Thanks; I’m pulling the trigger on this thanks to your video.
does this preset also work with headrush mx5?
Yes it does. I don’t personally have one, but I’ve received confirmation from several customers that everything has worked fine. If you do run into any issues, don’t hesitate to reach out for support or a full refund.
1:52 Realizing my commentary is a bit imprecise here. The NTH FX is controlling when the LT2 offset FX is being applied, not actually setting the offset value itself, which is done by the LT2 02 FX parameter.
🔥
🙏
Just about brought tears to my eyes u spoke my mind man got a syntakt would die for It
Love this. I am new the m8 and I love ambient music so I've been looking at ways to do it. This def gives me a lot of ideas. Just to make sure I understand the set up correctly, the midi out of m8 goes to the Prismatic Spray and the audio comes back to the m8 through the audio in, correct? How does Hypersynth fit in to this setup? Do you think this kind of a setup where an external pedal/instrument like the Prismatic Spray or Macrocosm Hologram is the best way to create ambient music or can it be done internally in the m8 as well?
Thank you! You're correct about the routing. I have instrument 4 setup as a MIDI Out instrument on Channel 2 but routed to the Internal Port 03. In the actual Phrase, I'm playing a random note on Instrument 4, but in midi settings I have MIDI Channel 2 being routed to Instruments 01 and 05. Instrument 01 is the Hypersynth, instrument 05 is the 'external instrument' that is sending MIDI to the Prismatic Spray and receiving the audio on the Stereo Line-Input. This setup allows the same randomly generated note from MIDI instrument 4 to keep the Hypersynth and Prismatic Spray 'in tune' with one another. The M8 is great at ambient by itself. The best way is def the way that's most accessible and inspiring for you. Wiring up something as complicated as this is totally unnecessary, but it scratches a particular itch for me and it was a fun way to explore some of these new features when they were initially released.
@@monsterlogostudios Thanks a ton for sharing. I think this setup is creative and the work is beautiful. Your channel has taught me a lot about the M8. Thanks and keep them coming. Cheers
That's smooth af
This was a bit of a relevation for me - the pitching up/down while preserving the length isn't something I'd thought to try! Thanks. I think the general principle for how the timestretching works here is the same as on the Digitakt - is that your understanding too?
Yes…or it was prior to the 1.5 update. With v1.5 introduced earlier this year, there are now dedicated Werp and Repitch machines for time stretching and pitch effects on the Digitakt.
@@monsterlogostudioscheers. From what I understand of werp though, is that it basically just does this, rather than it being a new time-stretching algorithm. I could be wrong though!
@rorz999 likely correct. Having a “machine” just eliminates the hassle of setting it up. Much easier to use now.
Hey ! Are you sure about loading 32 bits samples on the SD card ? Actually I just load 24 bits samples on mine and the manual say it’s only possible to load 8,16 or 24 bits samples. For direct sampling you’re right, it’s 16 bits.
You’re correct - can only load samples up to 24-bit
I agree with your final assessment. Holding the buttons to adjust parameters as well starts to really dig into the fingers. I’m hoping someone figures out a good 3d printed case with buttons for it. The encoder is a bit finicky. I know Ivo has done some tuning to it so make sure you have the latest update. That being said I did contact him a couple days ago and it sounds like he is planning on tweaking it more. I’m hoping to get him a video of the behaviors I’m seeing. As far as the learning curve….yeah it definitely has one of those. I’ve spent way too much time in the documentation. The woovebox does so much. I have to wonder how something like the m8 tracker compares when it comes to learning curve. Great video and demos. Hope to see more from you.
Don't have a woovebox, but I do have an M8. Learning curve with the M8 I think entirely depends how experienced you are with trackers. It can do a lot, but it does it all in such a unique way, the learning curve can be massive. You can still make music fairly quickly, but sometimes getting specific things you want can be tricky
@@vangoghsseveredear Agreed and that makes a lot of sense. I’ve almost ordered the M8 a couple times now when it’s available but gaining enough mastery on it to translate what I hear into what plays seems like it might be a bit of a time commitment. It sounds so amazing though that I may have to do it anyway.
@mrfork the learning curve is not as steep as it appears - there are a lot of demo projects available that makes it easy to reverse engineer your way to success.
@@monsterlogostudios very cool. I'll have to check into it. Thanks for the information.
