I think the problem starts when you need to constantly comparw your life with others. There is always going to be someone who has better body, better skin or better clothes than you, as there are some that are worse. You will never be the greatest and you will never be the worst. So start loving yourself as you are, always trying to be a better person, but with what really matters in life.

When we hangout,they will took pic first,then eat. Price, appearance and popular are priority to those people.Even when they keep forcing me to be one of them,i still choose this path. I felt worthless. I had wanted to delete it from a very long time but I couldn’t coz I was addicted to it. So finally yesterday I deleted it. I hope I never have to download it ever again in my life. It has really destroyed me. All the social medias. My grades went down, became depressed, I talked to noone , I just compared myself with everyone else. Ugh!!! It feels horrible.

I deleted insta only because the notifications were disturbing me when watching Netflix. I never really cared about what other people did and do because even if I had the chance to do all those stuff and get all those useless things I couldn’t be bothered to do anything. And the only reason I didn’t delete insta earlier on was because of the memes, they were just too addictive.

Just get yourself off social media... I’ve deleted Facebook and Instagram and I don’t miss either of them. It’s very liberating to be free of the constant exposure to the edited version of people’s lives and the advertising bombardment! Try deactivating for a couple of weeks and see how you feel. You will start to notice to beauty of the real world and begin to make meaningful conversation and connections with actual people! 🙏🏻

That had to be portrayed and shown in the movie as even people with roofs on their head and food in their stomachs still complain and aren't satisfied with what they have and they'd still compare their lives with other people lives on social media. It is never about being poor, it is about the comparison and the dissatisfaction people have.
I get asked constantly if I have all these social media's, and they say, I should get them all and follow them all on it. I only have facebook, and I don't even use it cause it's a waste of time, and I could care less how others are spending their lives.
